navia is honestly the best geo rn i love her style, her gameplay, her feel, she is an overall great character gameplay wise, and even better storywise she was actually so good on the archon quest
honestly yeah all geo characters are boring, and it is sad how obvious it is why they are boring. No other element in the game says as loud as it can THIS IS THE TEAM I CAN PLAY WITH DO NOT DARE PLAY ANY OTHER TEAM, GEO ONLY AND THESE CHARACTERS ONLY. Navia is the only fun to play geo character, and surprise surprise she is the only geo character who will let you play basically any team you want.
Not allowing Chiori to snapshot Gorou's buff is a crime. The only incentive i have in pulling for her is her synergy with my C6 gorou whom i pulled in wanderer's banner. Hoyoverse sucks
She snapshots his a4 team wide 25% buff though so don’t rule that out

Bro I was actually expecting an insane geo character showcase😂
So bascially Mihoyo abandoned the idea of destructible geo constructs for good, leaving earlier geo characters with this mechanics (e.g. Zhongli, Albedo) at a huge disadvantage comparing to new characters, as well as characters of other elements, whose 'construct' or summons never gets destroyed.
Ironically, geo is supposed to be the element of strenght, toughness.
Fixing old characters is a paid feature in the form of new characters.
Meh I'd say zhongli is still a good support bcuz of his shield

@@chedo191I mean Zhongli is literally "only" a good support because of his shield. Thats literally what is worth of the unit because the damage buff he provides with his area debuff of the pilar is not even that good if you compare it with a less restrictive (fight in a designate area) and simple damage buff - His burst is also timer negative so you dont want to use it when you have already the damage to clear because you are ruining your rotation.
So yeah there are still a LOT of good points for zhongli (dont get the wrong idea) but in general he is just a great shielder that makes the game super easy for a new player. He prevents interruption and thats already the best ofensive buff in the game.
But Chiori's summon isn't considered as a construct

i need them to do a Keqing of every element. We've got the original Electro herself. Alhaitham for Dendro. and now Chiori for Geo. That leaves 4 more elements, Anemo, Hydro, Pyro, and Cryo

Shes meant to be played with geo constructs, so it makes sense that her C1 would not be put into her kit.

As for what version of albedo she is, I'd go with 1.0 merely because her skill actually works; you ever try the flower against newer enemies or bosses? it has a lower life expectancy than a plate of food in front of paimon.

@@rjth2835 well that works quite well no? I pulled for her and she does about 490k dmg per rotation with 2 dolls, while my albedo (E2 btw) does around 420k with the same artifacts and weapon.
It's not that he thinks that, it's just maths. The only saving grace is that Albedo has better AOE, but at the same time, his flower is made of paper and dies faster than the regisvine in a dmg showcase.
We had the Alpha-Albedo version 0.69. Now they finally released the version 0.8. But you need C1 for version 1.0 Albedo release build.

yeah, I really wanted to pull Chiori to play her with Navia. Not interested in going all the way in for a constellation on top of the character to force it though. My Navia will be fine with her Double Pyro/Zhongli team

Personally, the constellations for the recent characters have been really burning me out . Weapons less so, but it feels worth it to mention anyway. I've pulled every character in the game & way more weapons and cons than I'm willing to admit. With so much QOL / team functionality (or both) being locked behind weapons (to make up for artifact stats & help rotations), and constellations starting to commonly hold QOL in C1 then a massive damage boost on C2 (generally speaking). It doesn't feel like the characters are full products at C0 anymore (again generally speaking). I miss the days of weapons' and cons feeling like a luxury or just a damage boost for a character you really like, not something you need for them to function properly or to utilize their whole kit. Like Neuvillette and his C1 to be used optimally with Furina in the team ( plus the kb resist >.> ) or now Navia and Chiori, it just FEELS bad. idk if anyone else is feeling the same. I just needed to say it somewhere. Chiori will sadly be my first skip; I love her animations and design, but my Albedo is well built so I'm sure I'll get by. The C1 ruined her for me

Neuv’s C0 damage without furina is still a top tier dps. They balanced him by saying “hey, we want you to spend more money to play these two characters together optimally, but if you choose not to spend that money, neuv is still great.”
Telling me the suboptimal version of chiori is just albedo version 1.05 makes suboptimal neuv seem like a god

I don't have Neuv or Chiori, but Navia feels fine to play at C0 with decent damage. Having Albedo or Zhongli in the team helps a lot with not needing C1 I guess.
She's meant to be played with geo constructs, so it makes sense that hoyo kept her unconventional team comps locked behind a constellation. Everyone, STOP BITCHING, Navia doesn't work well with C0 Chiori, but Zhongli, Albedo, and Gorou still work with Naciai.
To me, shes just a 4* character with 5* branding. I really loved her design and found her kit a bit silly, but seeing how she been gimped and done dirty by hoyo, theres not much of a reason to pull for her. She wouldve been a great addition to the 4* Geo characters seeing as we havent gotten one in over two years. along with her being a 4* sword wielding geo character that could use albedos sword somewhat?????

@@CzDelta92 Ah yes, Albedo, one of the worst 5* characters in genshin whose only saving grace is that he is one of the only Geo subdps/supports. How come you can’t just accept that she scales similar to most 4* characters. Kuki, Fischl, Beidou, Sucrose, Yao Yao, Heizou, Gaming, Freminet, Kaeya, Lynette, and Yanfei all have better and similarly built kits to her. The only reason she’s “good” is because her numbers got raised a little bit once hoyo realized they could just make more money from making her a 5*. I love how she looks, she is one of the best designed characters in the game along with having fun gameplay, but you can’t deny she was originally designed to be a 4* character.

Chiori's design is really cool, I always play dual swords/daggers in all games if possible, her "no bullshit" personality is great. So yeah, get her if you like her, waifu over meta

Looks like we're back in 2020 with character design lmao. And having to get C1 to play her with Navia is the biggest finger to the community i've seen
For real, Navia's design was so good, and now they went back years ago, I don't understand how you can make two geo characters so polarized.
Biggest finger was a year ago with Dehya, who players waited for over half a year and skipping many characters just to get broken unit, who's kit doesn't work with itself and since she was being thrown for unknown reason into a standard banner - all stats were dogshit.
You don't have to LIKE her design (and I also am a fellow Navia enjoyer), but I really don't get what you're ranting about here. I don't see anything suggesting lesser quality or lesser effort with her design...?

Might be the straw that broke the camel’s back for me. As an old player each little thing adds up since launch and the con baiting is too much. Coercing wallets open by neglecting an element and then still withholding what it needs to feel as good as other elements. Releasing a fun geo character and then neglecting her to try to bait older geo mains. Lazy weapon design. Baiting people into spending with incomplete characters when there isn’t even hard content to justify it.
I don’t really have any confidence in their character design anymore, and that was the one thing I was fairly ok with. They were consistent enough, and fair enough to f2p (I am not f2p but I think the f2p experience is important). Now that they made it clear I can’t even count on that I am looking at the space the game is taking up and wanting to reclaim it.
This isn’t the only issue but it might be the one that finally kills the game for me. If they respected our time, didn’t bloat tf out of all dialogue and make it insufferable to listen to because of Paimon killing the narrative, cap pc players at 60fps, troll us with garbage loadouts after people have wanted legit ones in forever, terrible artifact system, make nothing feel earned because currency income feels terrible etc. I don’t need to type it all. But if they are going to start baiting dupes more and more there’s really nothing left now. If I want dupes I will get them. If I feel like they are FOMOing me into dupes then I won’t. That is one constant in any gacha I choose to play.
I wish I quit earlier so my memories of the game wouldn’t be this bad. Used to love it. Playing it during lockdown with my daughter was so fun.

I don't mean to sound rude or nothing of the sorts, but I do agree with some of your points in your comment for one... BUT, what I don't agree with (as "The community") has been begging for a duel welding character for a long time.
"The community" has also hated that geo constructs get destroyed instantly AND HAVE BEEN LISTENING and making characters like Itto, Navia, now geo doesn't have destroyable geo constructs on the field as what "The Community" wanted.
Also, this game isn't making it harder for F2P players by making a character that works much better/comfortably with their C1.
We have C1 Hu Tao, C1 Neuvillette, C1 Alhaithem, and many more that work better with their C1, does that make them harder to play? No, does it mean F2P players can't play them AND clear everything in the game with them? No.
Parts of your comment tells me that you are burnt out from genshin as you are also a Day 1 player like myself.
But to say that their product has been decreasing OR been getting worse, is false and just a matter of opinion.
Almost EVERYTHING has been improving, including story and even Paimon is getting less lines compared to other nations.

Also, about teams and building (for the most part) many characters don't have to work with everyone like Bennett did for a long time, them making characters like Shenhe ISN'T bad but actually encouraged different game play and teams to NOT be "tied down" by the same supports.
Also, the reason geo constructs break is because they have and HP bar and you see what happens to enemies (even Azdaha boss fight) that gets on top if a geo construct, it breaks the AI at times and make them either spam 1 move, or stop attacking and moving all together.

Honestly, that’s why I really disliked the marketing they did for Chiori. They added Navia with her in her demo to make it look like they pair well together when they have better teammate options, but because they are both the first geo characters to come out for a while they get paired together. Not to mention Navia is a solid unit so they want to entice people to pull for Chiori by making them look as though they pair well. If you pull for constellations this pretty much fixes your problems but for those who don’t like to spend a lot and/or f2p this is very deceiving which sucks. But in the end it’s nice to see what she can do now that she’s finally out. I’m personally not pulling for her but I wish the best of luck to those who are.
Imo your depiction was unintended, the only probable reason I can think of for why Navia is present in Chiori's demo is because Navia's clothes were tailored by Chiori herself
Tried her in the trial today and honestly, my Albedo does the same damage, if not more. I don't really like her anyway, so, I'll just stick with Albedo, who kinda works better with Navia providing an em buff that fives stronger shields from crystallize, and a character I actually like

im running navia furina bennet chiori and it slaps, she really helps making crystals + doing off field damage, you can swap and shotgun with EEE and then hold E to do a second shotgun with 4-6 charges right away

@@randyrandom3358 Itto is meh, requiring a terrible mono Geo team and basically useless against anything with elemental shields. Zhongli and Navia are carried by their kits, not their element. If you made a copy of those characters with same mechanics and multipliers, but as another element, they'd be way better.

They're all solid units, each have good kits that supplement their dmg and sub optimal as flex because of it. Doesn't matter so long as you're capable 36 starring abyss, right?

Got Chiori quite early into her banner, really like her so far, but it does sting a little being forced to use Zhongli (or a geo construct character) when I just want to use her and Navia in the same team. I don't necessarily mind a full geo team, but I prefer just chucking any character I want in a team without having to need a specific unit.
I already planed to pull Albedo anyway, but this was still fun to watch!
I love chiori, I do, I got her for aesthetics (games not hard anyway) but Chiori is a perfect example of so many of the things I hate about Hoyos GI character design philosophy.
I really had hoped they had shifted to a more creative mindset with the release of super fun and "different" characters like Neuv, Wrio, and Furina, characters that had washed the bad taste of Dehya, Candace, and Dori from my palate, but then Chiori shows me nope, they will still release mid characters that exemplify boring mechanics that they refuse to flesh out.
I legit don't understand why they limit characters that are already not strong by doing shit like, limiting the amount of hits they/constructs do, or refusing to create a new archetype. Chiori is literally using dual swords and a new weapon type would be so refreshing, but nope, give her mid damage for a mid mechanic instead. I like her, but with her I feel exactly the same way I felt with dehya, massive potential hampered for seemingly no reason. Sigh

They should’ve learnt from Navia’s success.

Hi ! Great video ! I Was wondering if Albedo instead of Geo Lumine can work in your "OnEE field" team ! I'm pretty sure it does but not sure how good it could be cause for now i don't seem's to have the artifacts for Geo Lumine.. sadly
my luck for pulls this time around were intresting. needed 1 more gorou for C6 and chiori wasnt a char i was going for, this alone is a 50/50 to guarantee since its someone i dont care to get throughout all my time with any luck based thing. as for how my actual pulls went, 61-73 to get first, which was chiori 50/50 win, then 13 later i get another chiori and had to do 3 more to finally get my C6 gorou the only thing i was actually going after. i swear games troll me on things im not aiming for, its why my acc has C2 klee(for whom i barely use)
I had Itto since his first banner. Went for Chiori and Itto’s banner with 430 pulls. Gotten 1 Chiori, 1 Skyward Pride, 1 Chiori’s weapon and 1 Itto’s weapon with 216 pulls and 6 pity. Gorou is finally C6 too. Happy 😊.
