    Every time your Thunder beeps when it's done, made me turn around to switch awards I have running in my laser!
    I had an appointment with a local winery yesterday, they want to buy out my business and have me work for him. Huge opportunity! I'm working on getting a UV and Fiber galvos myself. For all the people like me who don't have a website there is so much local work, get your butts up and deliver some free samples to local businesses. Small businesses is the life blood of our communities and a little good will by giving them a few freebies will almost guarantee work. Focus on QUALITY, and fast turn around times, you WILL succeed.

      I'm in New Mexico. I had a meeting with the owner and i feel like he wants to buy some crazy high end equipment, CNC router, multiple lasers, 3D printers. Not only for promotional products, but because machienes go down, and parts are 10s of thousands of dollars, and months of wait time. They offered to put this equipment at MY HOUSE.... Huge huge huge oppertunity. go out and find yours! Matt has kept me motivated and everyone can do this.

    I really like your videos and I hope for your continued growth and success. I do have a concern though as one aging dude to another. Matt you need to incorporate exercise in your daily life. No disrespect to you. I was locked down in my laser room at home when not lasering at my day job. I was so busy I started to put on 55 lbs that I didn't need. I bought a set on machine that you do squats and row motion at the same time. Full body workout brother. When I wait for my 3 lasers to stop, I'm rocking 5 sets of 25 on the machine and damn dude, I'm stronger and back down to 245. Just wanna see you healthier and alive for years to come still making videos for us to watch. All the love my laser brother. Take care of YOU.

      @@laserengravingwithmatt well I'll be 57 at the end of the month, I've been a shop rat, seal coater, owner operator of a small CNC plasma cut shop, woodworker, house flipper, sheet metal former, welder and more. Some people say "why not stop and enjoy life?" My response would be " YOUGOTTAWANNA". My dad taught me that big long word when I was just a kid, live by it today. You literally have to want to be productive, and also you need to want to be lazy. Too many people take an able body for granted, and complain there is nothing to do. I'm now on disability, money isn't the same, my body tells me to stop, but I keep going. I'm very impressed by you and your wife's work ethic. Reminds me how lucky I was to have that drive, still do to a certain extent, just difficult to get around more everyday. But I try, that's the key. If you don't use it, you lose it. Not to mention I would get swamped, then customers would say, 'I'm not in a hurry, and 2 days later call and say 'is it done yet?' What speed, power, lpi & focus did you end up using for your wine glasses? I have a Thunder Nova 51 100 watt. Looking for a good starting point.

    How do you know when you are 2mm in? I guess that's what the spacer is for? I need the link. The ones below seem not to be untitled when I click them, nothing?🤔

    Hey there. I got my Nova 51 2 days ago and the extraction fan is so load I can barely be in the same room. It hits 96dB. Thunder South Africa says it's normal but not from what I've seen on youtube.

    Woke up this morning at 0545 to run dog tags, and watched your video so thanks! Quick question about the sanding pads, which I ordered from your link but which grits are you using? I noticed you held up 2 different color pads one is pink and the other one I couldn't tell. Your Amazon link has the color coded chart with the associated grits but I just couldn't tell which ones you were using. Thanks!

    What about a rotary that can hold multiple items to speed up engraving?

    I have NO experience doing glass, but 100 percent power seems high. Is that the power setting you used for those glasses? The material library for the 130 says 15%. Now I need to buy some wine glasses.

      @laserengravingwithmatt7833 Matt! Thank you so much for this video and helping everyone out there. Just confirming as I know you tried a bunch of settings in your video. The final on your 100 watt thunder was 500 speed, 15 power, .08 lpi, what focus 2 or 5mm? and do you use air or shut it off like you do with a regular engrave for wood?

    • @laserengravingwithmatt
      @laserengravingwithmatt  Před 9 měsíci +2

      Yes and the focus depends on the glass some like 5 and some like 2

    You have got to start saying just how much metal the Thunder machine can engrave, yes that's none!
    The Epilog laser can engrave all metals and plastics and you need to start saying that it's actually two laser in one, that's one reason it was more expensive!
    Plus an fiber laser is much more expensive than a co2 laser.
