Resin printer gets way more detail into the miniatures because its printing super thin layers with liquid. An extruder printer is basically like a little glue gun that spits out melted plastic and builds up the layers. You can see the printed layers in both printers however the resin layers are much less noticeable which makes it better for teeny tiny prints. Yes Ventilation is very important with resin printers and I feel like there's not a ton of info out there. I will make sure to share what I know when I make my video :)

My heart grieves for you all in the loss of your precious girl. That is a sharp pain to be sure. They leave a terrible gaping hole in our homes and our lives when they go away. A pain all animal lovers are all too familiar with. I am terribly sorry you lost her so young. The coffee shop just looks better (worse? lol) every time you work on it. The 3D mugs were definitely a necessary touch. I was thinking that one of the ones on the table needed to be broken, then you did it! The dandelion was the clincher! Great touch. She had been struggling with some health issues for 2 years so we were blessed to have her as long as we did even though its shorter than we would have liked. I had the vision of a flower growing out of a mug since the beggining of this project so I am glad to get it into the project! Thank you💖
I recently lost my little girl, she was 12 and I miss her ever day. She was the most loving and beautiful dog. She gave so much love whenever I needed it. My heart weeps for you😥

I am going to use that method for making my half scale furniture. Thank you for all your wonderful ideas. My heart breaks for u and your family..our animals are very important members of our families..I have lost 2 and it was the hardest thing ever..I know u have a lot to keep u busy,but after a week..I made a shadow box of pics of our dog,and special moments..and added her fav outfit I loved on her, parts of sympathy cards I recieved,the letter from the emerg vet,paw prints,and even had room for her leash and fav toy..if really helped me and I can look at it now and smile..just a idea for u..u know I love the coffee shop and adding Audrey to it just makes it perfect..sending hugs,and much strength..

When you said tongs, I believe you meant prongs. Tongs are a cooking/serving utencil. It took me a minute to think of the right word, cuz tongs sounded right--but not quite! 😄
The beauty of the 3d printer is I can just print them again ;) However if you printed on a maker-space machine or one owned by someone else, making a mold would be an excellent idea!
Argh! The mugs are so huge compared to the shelf. What has happened to this gorgeous build? It was so good and then the giant pen, the giant name tag, the not-rat (that's clearly a mouse--Brown rats don't have white bellies), and now coffee cups that are so big they practically brush the top of the shelf. They make the industrial shelving look tiny. Couldn't the STL files be reduced to the proper scale? This is so frustrating because I've been loving this build. I particularly loved the Dawn detergent bottle and O-Cello sponges. Oh, and the Bunn coffee maker was beautiful. ETA: Now seeing the pooch tribute I feel bad for any criticism. It's just because so much of it so good. I
Some q's about the 3d printing - my husband is just building me a printer (Yeh, I know ;-) he cooks as well!) so: did you print all those at once or separately? How long did they take to print? With regards waiting to make a video until you know more - I'd actually like to learn along with you; so if you made some vids of you printing minis showing how you worked out how to print as a newbie etc, I think it would be interesting and informative... just an idea.
I can print them all at once as long as they all fit on the print plate and I think these took about 6 hrs maybe? I will definitely consider your idea. I will share what I can that i think might be general knowledge for mini printing, Something we are learning are specific to our printer which may not be helpful to many people. What kind of superglue do you use, and how do you keep the whole bottle from drying out between projects? I have never been able to keep a bottle of superglue "useable" more than a single day.
I use Gorilla Super Glue GEL. I find that the gel lasts a lot longer and is easier to control. Regular super glue is so runny and it goes everywhere. The key with Gorilla glue is to make sure to shake it really good before use to integrate the liquid with the gel before it comes out. It comes in a squeeze bottle so I have never had it dry out on me as long as I kept the cap on. I hope that helps!

Bentley House Minis - hi, just seen your reply, I am so flattered that you reply. I guess in a way my house ideas - this is my first - are similar to yours inasmuch that I prefer to age houses and reflect the age that the inside decor is fixed in. My house is Georgian so it is built anytime from early 18th century upwards to the Victorian era. My own back story is that the house has been inherited by the niece of a childless couple. Given the era her income and that of her companion is minimum so, they are unable to decorate inside except for furniture and accessories. My era is 1890-1910 and I want to pay homage to the Suffragettes. In essence, my house has lived through the Industrial Revolution and accompanying pollution from factory chimneys. My house will not be as pristine as most are as I do want to reflect the reality. If you give out your email address, I will send you pictures. So, to cut it short, my roof has to show the pigeon droppings that would have occurred. I will also add mould and water/weather staining. As this is a rare thing, I just needed guidance, advice, experience, if you don’t mind. Again, thank you so very much for replying.
You probably know this already, since you've been doing this a while now, but lollipop sticks/sucker sticks are nearly identical to what you're using from the Q-tips, and they come in very long sizes, or short normal sizes. They also make them in varying thicknesses. Not as cheap as a Q-tip, obviously, but good to know for those times when you need something considerably longer. They sell them in almost every craft store and Walmart, where you can find candy and cake decorating stuff. (still catching up on a lot of your videos.. Yay, insomnia)
They are so dear to us aren't they? They love with everything they have which makes it so much hard to even thing of them being gone. Wishing many more years for your fur babies!

I was just watching older videos in this playlist when you added the sink and counter tops, and made that little shelf, and I thought it’d be cool if you added an old phone book (like a phone directory, it was called yellow pages in the uk)

When you said tongs, I believe you meant prongs. Tongs are a cooking/serving utencil. It took me a minute to think of the right word, cuz tongs sounded right--but not quite! 😄

The beauty of the 3d printer is I can just print them again ;) However if you printed on a maker-space machine or one owned by someone else, making a mold would be an excellent idea!

Argh! The mugs are so huge compared to the shelf. What has happened to this gorgeous build? It was so good and then the giant pen, the giant name tag, the not-rat (that's clearly a mouse--Brown rats don't have white bellies), and now coffee cups that are so big they practically brush the top of the shelf. They make the industrial shelving look tiny. Couldn't the STL files be reduced to the proper scale? This is so frustrating because I've been loving this build. I particularly loved the Dawn detergent bottle and O-Cello sponges. Oh, and the Bunn coffee maker was beautiful.
ETA: Now seeing the pooch tribute I feel bad for any criticism.

Some q's about the 3d printing - my husband is just building me a printer (Yeh, I know ;-) he cooks as well!) so: did you print all those at once or separately? How long did they take to print? With regards waiting to make a video until you know more - I'd actually like to learn along with you; so if you made some vids of you printing minis showing how you worked out how to print as a newbie etc, I think it would be interesting and informative... just an idea.
I can print them all at once as long as they all fit on the print plate and I think these took about 6 hrs maybe? I will definitely consider your idea. I will share what I can that i think might be general knowledge for mini printing, Something we are learning are specific to our printer which may not be helpful to many people. Thanks for the suggestion!
What kind of superglue do you use, and how do you keep the whole bottle from drying out between projects? I have never been able to keep a bottle of superglue "useable" more than a single day.
I use Gorilla Super Glue GEL. I find that the gel lasts a lot longer and is easier to control. Regular super glue is so runny and it goes everywhere. The key with Gorilla glue is to make sure to shake it really good before use to integrate the liquid with the gel before it comes out. It comes in a squeeze bottle so I have never had it dry out on me as long as I kept the cap on. I hope that helps!

Bentley House Minis - hi, just seen your reply, I am so flattered that you reply. I guess in a way my house ideas - this is my first - are similar to yours inasmuch that I prefer to age houses and reflect the age that the inside decor is fixed in. My house is Georgian so it is built anytime from early 18th century upwards to the Victorian era. My own back story is that the house has been inherited by the niece of a childless couple. Given the era her income and that of her companion is minimum so, they are unable to decorate inside except for furniture and accessories. My era is 1890-1910 and I want to pay homage to the Suffragettes. In essence, my house has lived through the Industrial Revolution and accompanying pollution from factory chimneys. My house will not be as pristine as most are as I do want to reflect the reality. If you give out your email address, I will send you pictures. So, to cut it short, my roof has to show the pigeon droppings that would have occurred. I will also add mould and water/weather staining. As this is a rare thing, I just needed guidance, advice, experience, if you don’t mind. Again, thank you so very much for replying.

You probably know this already, since you've been doing this a while now, but lollipop sticks/sucker sticks are nearly identical to what you're using from the Q-tips, and they come in very long sizes, or short normal sizes. They also make them in varying thicknesses. Not as cheap as a Q-tip, obviously, but good to know for those times when you need something considerably longer. They sell them in almost every craft store and Walmart, where you can find candy and cake decorating stuff. (still catching up on a lot of your videos.. Yay, insomnia)
