- The hybrid have been around for a while; it's time we feature them here! The hybrid are a custom SC2 fan-made race. This is my mini-tutorial on how the basic mechanics work followed by a feature game. Fan-fave Tom Sawyer pilots the hybrid for us, but he is up against Asur (Genetron), a very talented player that probably has twice his APM. How will such a match up even look?
New to the genetron and the Scion Custom races? This link will show you a quick tutorial video on how to add them into your own SCII game to play. The genetron are free to play and are perfectly compatible with your existing SCII game.

Ive been playing Since HOTS and i cant believe i didnt know this community of modded races existed! The bigger sc2 channels should really take some time to learn these races for fun and make videos with them! You deserve 100k+ subs my man thank you for introducing to this and the commentary and editing is top notch!

It's always nice to see hybrids in one of your videos! Though they are 100% OP as a race.
Yeah, as an equitable competitive race, the hybrid are crazy problematic. But as a toy to spice up your game, it's a win for me. I think the main reason it worked so well here was because Asur has a much higher APM than Sawyer. He could make up for the deficit with his macro. The end result was the back and forth that makes for a solid game.
It's finally time to cast a game featuring the Hybrid custom race! Thanks to Asur and Tom Sawyer for making this happen--they put on a really solid show here. Just a footnote, there are actually two fan-made hybrid races out there, this particular one is the "Network Hybrid" and is probably the better known of the two. SO BEHOLD! Tremble before the infinite might that is the hybrid and know your fate is sealed!

There actually is a dragon faction/race that was fan-made, or at least once called Dragons - not all the units are very dragon-ish. Maybe we can finally get a game of that on this channel sometime. I've always been meaning to.

Alright I don't like to be that guy, but I think you mean "interlocking circles" as "concentric circles" are circles that share a single center, not circles that cross into each others boundaries.
Dang! You are so right. Concentric means the same central point, like a stone thrown in a pond. Interlocking is the more accurate word. (Thanks, always happy to be educated, or reminded, I feel like there was a time I would I have known that.)

2:50 defensive and offensive network circles i like that
put a bunch together and you dont have map vision or map pressure and aggression but youre stronger defensively

Yeah, it'll be neat to see different strategies evolve. We're even starting to see players leap frog their circles forward as the game progresses. We'll see if that continues.

Bad pacing! I was probably resorting to jokes as a crutch to cover my lack of experience to analyze this particular match-up. But in fairness, does anybody have any XP with this matchup? : )

Thanks for that. Sound balance is an issue I've long struggled with. I love loud game sounds but it just doesn't work when it clashes, such as here. Feedback appreciated.
