I remember been a kid and playing those Ace Combat games of the late 90's and early 2000's seeing the Su-37 as the main antagonist aircraft, such it badass plaine, and it puts a smile in my face seeing the Su-30 SM on it's place, both in real life and in the games.
Those games were ace combat games..
The SU-37 was what we would call in the West a technology demonstrator. This is evidenced by the fact that only one was built. By the time it fell apart, the Russians had almost certainly learned everything they wanted from the plane. You'll see the SU-37 technology cropping up in Russian planes for years.

In fact the knowledge gain and experience achieved in Su-37 development is invaluable given next developments including Su-35 and now Su-57. So yes, I totally agree that the Terminator never dies.
If only it didn't crash. We could've seen the Su-37 being mass produced and used alongside the Su-57 in some combat operations, maybe as a support fighter for the Su-57 itself.
