@andrewh7986 Thanks Andy! Yes, I've used the milling machine a couple of times now just as a pillar drill. Need to do some actual milling! What I often find with new pieces of kit is that I don't use them until I find a few jobs where I need it and then it picks up from there. Exhaust mod job was a bit of fun... 🤗
Nice work Phil, sounds is fantastic! I've been looking at an upgrade exhaust system for the same reasons but the mod looks very cost effective in comparison. I have the same car except it's a the roadster, BUT none of your skill and no garage!
Thanks @gibsonlespaulspecial 😀 I've been using the system for a while now and have a few comments to add. The things I like are that you can turn the noise on and off. When driving the car hard or revving it (with the cut out valve open) I really like the sound but if just cruising with the valve open, it becomes a bit "farty" like a blowing exhaust. If you want a sports exhaust sound that you can enjoy all of the time, there's actually another option I was considering: It's possible to find someone who will open up the back box, wrap up some of the perforations in the pipe where it passes through the back box and then weld it up again. If you also add some tips (screw on or weld on) I think that would be another bargain sports exhaust look and sound! Z4M roadster is a lovely car btw! 👍 Thanks, Phil
Really enjoyed this video. The transformation is epic! Great work Phil.
@stemcleeds Thanks! It was a lot more work than I expect, but I'm happy with the results! 👍
Great video, Phil. Nice to see the milling machine getting some use.
