Rock Choir sing A Thousand Years at Bodenham Arboretum nr Kidderminster (09/09/23)

On Saturday 9th September 2023 members of the Stourbridge, Kidderminster, Bromsgrove & Redditch Rock Choirs (aka Paola's Paladinos*) were invited to perform at Bodenham Arboretum in Wolverley near Kidderminster, Worcestershire.
This was a very special gig as we took part in the Kemp Hospice Butterfly Release and Remembrance event and a number of Rockies released a butterfly in memory of someone they have lost. The Rockies performed two sets of songs in a beautiful clearing deep in the woods on a beautiful, sunny day. It was a very moving day and we were very honoured to be asked to perform in such a beautiful setting. Also, thanks to some of our Stratford Rockies who came over to join us for this performance!
This is one of the last times that our 4 choirs will perform together as Paola's choirs. Big changes are coming with the autumn term as the Stourbridge & Kidderminster choirs being moved into a new Rockie family with a new leader whilst Bromsgrove & Redditch stay with Paola a little longer until a new leader for them is found. Our wonderful Britalian leader Paola, whose smile lifts our hearts and voices every time we sing, has new challenges ahead of her. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the last few years and are going to miss you SO much next term. xx
*FYI: Paladinos means Champions in Italian
