The Yellow Wattle" is a double jig in A Dorian mode which appears on the album "Just Harp" by Laoise Kelly. This DADGAD adaptation resumes its spirit without looking for a note for note transcription.

got the tab a liitle while back nailed the first part second parts a bit sticky ,working on it , real fun to play
same perfection than Stephan Wake, that makes the quality we do appreciate
Thank you Philippe :-)
Day one of learning this to tag on to "The morning dew." Excellent quality tab for the guitar Jean, Thanks. Even got the fingering too...only just noticed that, could've saved a week learning Morning Dew if I'd opened my eyes properly ha ha ha
Thank you ! A comment that is a pleasure and that I hope will convince other guitarists :-)
Très Jolie ☘️☘️☘️☘️
Merci 😊
once again.....wow!
Thank you George :-)
Superb
Thank you :-)
@@irishguitar actually you deserve lot of thanks for uploading. I don't know the music but can vouch, it felt very sweet, nice.
Lovely..
Thank you :-)
Great arrangement Jean, thanks for sharing, it's always a pleasure listening to your music
Very nice, thank you :-)
Love the arrangement.
Thank you Joe :-)
I know this tune as "Winnie Hayes" and a very different tune by the name "The Yellow Wattle". This is a beautiful arrangement, either way. I've really been enjoying your videos since I discovered them. Great work!
Thank you :-)
I like this song because of the off timing. I leaves my mind chasing the timing of the bass notes around whilst the melody treble appears more constant. Initially to me anyway.... Would love to learn it. Oddly beautiful song.
Bravo Jean .
As usual, such a great playing!!
Thank you :-)
Great to see you again, Jean. Lovely piaying as usual. When will Volume 3 of Irish Finerpicking Guitar be available ?
Thank you :-)
The "Irish Fingerpicking Guitar Vol.3" project is unfortunately delayed and can be even cancelled...

Very nicely played. The triplets are the perfection. Could you please tell what sequence of fingers do you use to execute a triplet? The camera can't capture a motion that fast.
Thank you :-) I use ring finger, middle finger, index finger.
@@irishguitar thanks for sharing!
Very beautiful, Jean, as usual!
I have been meaning to ask on your other videos what guitar is that? I am assuming it is a Lowden, but which one?
Cheers, Bill
Thank you William :-) For this video, I play on my Lowden S10. On older videos, it was a Lowden O23.
Is that Lowden as in your man from the north? I'm in the process of getting one. Money well spent I'm told
Best investment ever ;-)
Thanks Jean,
So they are cedar/mahogany (S10) and cedar/walnut (O23) is that right? They both seem very good for this music!
Bill
Great playing friend. Do you ever go to sessions? I can imagine this with a fiddle or some flute. This makes me think about wandering through a fog covered field at the break of day.
Less fun with 7 fiddles, 8 flutes, 3 bodhrans and 2 pipes ;-)
Jean Banwarth ha yes I’ve been to many a session like this. The best sessions in my opinion are 3 to 4 people or less. When you can hear every instrument, and the individual musician’s playing compliments his fellow. Many lovely memories I have of events such as this. Some of the fondest memories of my life were spent round a table playing tunes with friends.
Capo 3 ? Sounds Cdor to me !
Capo 2, Bdor.
