Just a reminder, TC had K. Michelle record the song first (along with other artists), but they didn't want it at the time. Tamar put down new lyrics and her own vocals on the song with TC's backing and turned it into a Christmas single (wise move). After that K. Michelle decided to release her version as a way of saying "I did it first." Both ladies did an excellent job on the song though. Props to SongwriterTC for being such music genius. This is his material!

Well for one they both did a great job and I liked both. I have to say though when I first heard the song it was Tamar and I thought how good K Michelle would sound singing this song cause of the bluesy beat and then I heard K's had no idea but just proved this fit K. It's funny that people say Tamar's version has no emotion. Some ears are more suited to Mary J and Keyshia Cole styled singing.
Also, Tamar can sing live; but, her range/style takes more strain on the vocal cords.(even Mariah's and Toni's voice took damage over the years from their style)
Tamar range/style is a mix between two difficult vocalist: Mariah and Toni.
Tamar Slayed Those Runs And Has A Lot More Ease Than K I Also Prefer Tamars Tone

Mz.StarLuv1 In the writing credits on Tamars album, it says "Written By: Tamar Braxton, TC and LaShawn Daniels" she legally has to put who wrote the song, K.Michelle didn't write the song, Tamar did along with the others. The "Christmas" version of the song, is the original version.

Tamar executed the runs and belts better and hers was more impressive vocally but K Michelle's delivery in terms of phrasing was much better than Tamar. Tay tried too hard with the growling and choking her voice. For me though I would still listen to Tamar's version I consider her a MUCH better singer than K. Michelle.
