    As far as I’m concerned Kylington got paid $5M by the Flames to go on a lavish vacation (based on his IG) for two years and play 33 games when this season was basically already over.
    $2.5M of space would've gone a long way in 22-23 for a team that missed the playoffs by a couple of points.
    See ya buddy.

    He was given a 2 year “prove what you are” contract, during which he played 33 games. He had some mental health issues and Calgary did the right thing through all of that. Then the Flames offered him another “prove what you are” contract, which was more than fair. Oliver and his agent balked at the offer thinking they could get more, but he hasn’t proven anything! He is a good skater, he has some offensive upside, and that’s about all that’s known about him! He is not a proven commodity in the league, so no team is going to offer him a contract that a proven commodity would get. Colorado was the last deal left on the table, and it’s a one year “prove what you are” contract worth less than what the Flames offered! (There is a lot of hearsay over what that deal was, it was my understanding that it was basically the same deal he was on the last two years but with a little more money, I can’t back that up though)

    • @kalicea70

      To be honest a 4th rounder is better than what they got which is nothing. What stings is he was paid 5 million instead of being suspended for not playing out his contract.

    Why are so many Flames players actively trying to tank the team? By not giving them notice, the Flames lose assets for nothing. There have been so many ex-Flames that have done them dirty that makes me think there is something else at play here.

  • @Coldone24
    @Coldone24 Před měsícem +1

    The Flames will not fail to " suspend without pay ", the Next player unfortunate enough to be in a similar situation!
    Kylington has set a bad precedence for Calgary and other NHL teams to follow in future situations similar to his. He will also be on a short leash in Colorado.....

  • @sergant-mw5uk

    Bette Davis said it best about Joan Crawford when asked about Crawfords death. “One should speak good of the dead, she’s dead, good”.
    He’s gone. Good. He has relegated himself to 1 year contracts. Who would sign him for multiple years?
    Plus he should be allowed to sign where he wants. Maybe he didn’t want to play for a team that won’t see the playoffs for 10 years.

  • @ArmChairGMPodcast
    @ArmChairGMPodcast Před měsícem

    Oh well. Hes not that good anyways. Hes a bottom pair guy on a good team. He also doesn't fit the flames future in my opinion. He's an offense first player with limited defensive upside. If even two of Parekh, Mews, Brzustewicz, or Porier turn into nhl players we will have a ton of offense from the back end. We will need some guys who concentrate on defensive play more than we will need Kylington.

    Stop krying when/if things dont get as you whant it. He is a UFA, can do fuck as he ........ If he got played by his agent, he prob knew it by now. And can just replace him. If he whanted more the 1 year in Calgery on a new deal, he will note sign a 1 year one and stay. At the end of the day he got a deal on a tem that are great in handeling players that had som ruff years as in Jonathan Drouin. Insted of being a crybaby stand uprigth and be the one that helped him back to life and to the ice inted. BTW i knew you ar fans. But sometimes its just to......

    • @BeingMal
      @BeingMal Před 29 dny

      Stop crying? Are you kidding? the flames paid the guy millions to sit at home, no suspending him, no unpaid leave, did way more than any club would for a sub par player. Then they get a slap in the face because the player wants to be greedy, no warning, no hey thanks for looking after me, nothing, just a fuck you thanks for the millions. Crying? Ya ok. Do you think any club will do anything to help players now in the same situation, hell no, how many other players has this guy just fucked over because he is a greedy piece of shit. Good riddance, good luck on the ice.

    I know it's summer but there's a lot of grabbing air here. We still don't know what his situation was and it's not like we are talking about multi million dollar contracts here. I think at the end of the day even as a Flames fan, the fact Shilly is going to still be playing is a blessing in its own right and really nothing more should be made of it. But I get it, it's summer and it's something to talk about. Wish him well, and there's no bad blood IMO.
