Very cool. At some point Corvette designers should re create one of the old corvettes with today’s technology and offer it for sale. The same concept as retro designs for trucks that look like the older styles yet have modern capabilities. I’d like to see the 1963 Stingray re designed with an enlarged chassis & body into a modern day Corvette. The 1979 was stout also with eye catching curves. Speed has been mastered, style needs to come back. The new Corvettes take time getting use to and resemble a Ferrari and now the front end gives a Trans-Am visual effect. Sell both new and re made old styles?

Well I will have to say they improved the front end but still doesn’t wow me. The front is to small compared to the back it looks like two cars put together.
rather not have the electric motors. it makes the E ray way heavier than the standard c8 and only takes 0.1 off 0-60 and I'm sure 60-130 are slower because of all the added weight

Its not about top speed, no one races to 180! Its about that feeling you get when launching these cars. Its incredible, like a roller coaster. 90% of my "races" are light to light, and that is where these cars shine! Then look into how track capable they are and that is where the real fun lies. These things are track monsters and with the optional Z51 on the Stingray (or any base model Z06, E-ray, ZR1 etc) you do not void your warranty if you track the car. Something that no other manufacturer does....

At this point you might as well put in the autopilot feature like a tsla, push the race button and take a nap and have it wake you when the race is over to see how you did. No thanks, I am keeping my all manual 2005 Lotus Elise so I can feel like it is me racing and not some AI robot.
Die hard 3 pedal club crowd will say this about any automatic transmission car. Truth is the ZR1, and ultimately the Zora are going to be absolutely nasty track monsters. If you have not driven a Stingray or Z06 with the Tremec duel clutch with paddle shifters than you won't be able to appreciate how much control this automatic gives you, if and when you want it. I raced the Stingray at Ron Fellows for 2 days, manually shifting the entire time. Its a very capable car, and will also destroy the Elise (and tracking a Z51 optioned Stingray or above won't void your warranty like every other car on the market, I might add). That said, the Elise is an excellent vehicle, not talking trash about it, but its not even in the same league as the ZR1 and Zora will be. Hell, its not even spoken in the same sentence as the less capable Z06s....
