I was at the show last night and she was easily the best and funniest Glinda I’ve seen in any of the wicked performances I’ve been lucky enough to watch. The show as always was amazing but this cast blew me away we had Casey as Elphaba and she was also brilliant can’t believe she was the understudy.
Well, vocally very clean. But I can’t hear audience laughing in the most hilarious scenes so I guess Sarah must work on her comedy skills because this song should be hilariously funny.
Wicked UK's version of Glinda/Galinda is more posh, which is a deliberate choice, but that does make it harder for Galindas to be funny. She does sound a little like she's playing it safe, but I don't blame her, it's their first night. I'm sure that with time she'll settle in and get more comfortable.
i agree with you, but this is opening night with sarah playing this role for the first time. i can definitely see her getting more comfortable and gaining more comedic timing and humour over some time
