I was a V8 Monza owner, back in the day. Bought my new one, 1978.. I loved the Dekon Monza's. One of my all time favorites.

Saw the ex-Holbert blue and yellow DeKon Monza run at Road America in the 90s. The last race of the day was a one hour enduro with all classes. The Monza was awesome - loud and fast down the front straight!

I first came across a Decon Monza at Daytona in1975. It was about 300 lb lighter then my Corvette and probably had 100 more horsepower. It ran a different class (AAGT) then I ran in GTO but when it went past me it was still very disheartening. There's really nothing I could do except watch it go by.

That Monza stands out and I still called it the little Camaro while the Pontiac sunbird is still the little Firebird
