  • Tom came to the Regal Gentleman Studio because he wanted to add shape and style to his curtains haircut. After growing out his hair he wanted to keep length in the curtains but add a taper to the back and sides. He wanted the style to hide what he considered a "bad hairline", but Dan worked with him to create the perfect style for him.

    My hairline was thinning pretty bad, didn’t realize it until i saw a photo of myself and was shocked…started taking finasteride 1mg 3x a week with no side effects other than my flaccid size appears smaller (i know tmi but it’s important for guys with questions with anxiety over possible sexual side effects) and my hair is back to when i was 18 after about 6 months. I’m 30 now and get compliments from people asking my age because they tell me i look young in the face and have all my hair. Feels good.
    FYI studies show 0.5 mg of fin daily or 1 mg every other day is like 98% as effective as 1mg daily…side effects on double my dosage are slim to none i just wanted to make sure by taking half what the standard dosing is just to be positive.

    • @alex1432
      @alex1432 Před 2 lety

      @@khalil7011 Honestly, I don’t believe I would actually ever take dutasteride…unlike fin, you will actually feminize yourself or at minimum you’ll experience quality of life side effects. I’m of the mindset that if you need something as strong as dutasteride to keep your hair, especially at a young age then it’s a losing battle. I think fin works great for guys when they notice thinning or recession but to stop full on balding there’s no solution. If the men in your family have thin hair then there’s a chance drugs can work but if all the men are bald or have the classic U shape hair pattern that Prince William has, it’s not worth it to fight the inevitable
      2 of my buddies used dutasteride because they were trying to stop full on balding and it either didn’t work on slowing it down or they experienced sexual sides

    I see no point in where he should need to shave his head like some people say. He has still a lot amount of hair up there.
    This hairstyle is a typical American tiktok/influencer model Cut. The Stylist noticed in seconds that his client won't be able to rock that same Style cuz of the thin hair with the receiding hairline.
    I know how it feels wanting a style seeing on stars/models or whatever. But we have to be realistic about our hair and should always compare our hair/hairline with that what we want.
    Great job by telling him how it is and also a very nice cut. It's important to shorten ur hair on the sides when top goes thinner.

    Now that we're in the age of finasteride/dutasteride and minoxidil the hassle of having to explain that camouflage hair cut I wished it happened to me this day and age .than have a barber explain to me that that camouflage hair will get weak and break off easier, so your best option is getting on those hair treatments .what's the worst that could happen ,grow stronger and possibly new hair

MPB is when a guy has the very narrow island at the front because the temple's have completely gone. The temple's slightly moving back but keeping their density is not MPB and it's the hairline you'll find on the majority of men over the age 18. Seen so many guys thinking they're balding because they don't have the hairline of a 15 year old Spanish kid when they're a 25 year old white dude it's ridiculous.

  • @spyrosf666
    @spyrosf666 Před 2 lety +2

    Hey! Sorry but I don't think that this is a good haircut. It has many misses, but basically what made it a bad haircut was the part around the left ear. When you used the clippers to 'taper' the hair around the sides, you created a very light line and above that was a heavy line that looked different in colour, but also from the side (I believe it popped out a bit) even though the client wanted to keep the top as it was, when it fell down it created a mushroom-shaped haircut which I believe that should have mentioned and tended to. Your technique is flawless, and this was a hard haircut to do on that head, but I think that this was a miss.

    • @RegalGentleman
      @RegalGentleman  Před 2 lety

      Show photos! To be fair it’s probably one of his least harsh haircuts from the show. Would definitely be easier day to day. Just be very clear on what you want and like about it. As some barbers may have an idea of what a Tommy Shelby haircut is and that may be an early season cut which is very harsh. This one is a lot cleaner and probably closer to most people’s idea of what they would have, than he’s had previously. So yeah just show photos of season 6 and be clear what you like about it, and maybe mention if it is the “not as harsh version” from this series that you like, that that is what you like!
