Neeti Mohan is an excellent north indian singer and she first sang for AR Rahman in Jab Tak Hai Jaan. She sung Jiya Re song in that movie and that was one of the songs which made her famous, winning her a Filmfare Award. She shared in an interview that she sings in a lot of AR Rahman live concerts.
You got to hear the original song sung by Annupama ..and you got to see the video of the song as well...it will instantly give you goosebumps . Good work by Neeti ...tough song.

She has sung well with emotion but the original singer's voice in the film have more. Thenmerkku paruvakaattru (Karuthamma), Puthu vellai mazhai (we have seen), chinna chinna asai (Roja), Andha Arabi kadaloram (Bombay), Urvasi Urvasi, Mukkala mukabla (Kadhalan) also have best sound track.
Original have more yes with empty stomach ..with filled stomach ,one can't sing like that.
