    Because forgiving is primarily good for one's own nerves. Perhaps it is just like a kind of relaxation. But it works only in case of people who are not an important part of one's life. In close relationships it is best to see those who make you feel hurt, as little as possible.

    Only God can judge and only God can take revenge, I just forgive and move on. I have better things to do than to hold grudges.

    I forgive but trust to the person is never given.If one forgets then how do you know when it happens again. I forgive to release my pain but no trust keeps ones boundries in place.

    Forgiveness should go hand-in-hand with acceptance, like with the Jewish LGBTQ community.
