Korg Kross Tutorial | EPIC COMBI (Part 1) Planning Patches and MIDI Hardware

- Part one begins our little journey to design and program a COMBI of epic proportions on the Korg Kross. In this series I will cover how to go about planning your sounds/patches, setting up a second board to be controlled via MIDI, designing splits across both boards, adding harmonic layers to your original sounds, accessing a hidden layer via external modulation, and some finishing touches to make this epic COMBI shine. In this video (part 1) I go over the steps involved to plan your sounds and overall layout of the COMBI, as well as the hardware steps needed to connect a second board. In the next video I will cover all the patches in the Kross and go over each split in detail. The example song I'll be using is Africa by Toto.

if you're referring to "patch remain" this is not a capable feature.
Hellow sir, my kross 2 will come soon, can i ask if kross 2 can save edited patch (split/layer) on the 1 to 16 pad? If thats possible its overkill

Hi, I saw your video like 6 months ago and I couldnt wait to try this, I had just 1 korg kross and I recently got my self an arturia controller, I tried to connect them like you explained but it didn´t work, is there a chance you could walk me throw the process via email or some other form of contact? I would really apreciate

I've kross 2 and yamaha psr i455 is it possible to route audio from kross to yamaha ?as the psr has its own speakers.

@@PremJHans I suppose theoretically audio could be routed to the PSR keyboard if it has a proper audio in from the out of the Kross. But it might require some type(s) of adapters to make it work.

Sorry, my French is rusty. You can try updating the Kross' firmware from Korg off of their web site. The "user" patches are sounds I either created from scratch or adapted from presets.

mybe my pc mac is too old because i downloaded some sounds i cant open the free flies
