Solid camp list. We don't know all of the reasoning for anyone left out so can't complain too much.. its a good list of players to work with in creating an unfortunately even smaller list (should be more than 12)

Reading a lot of these comments so here we go:
Bennedict Mathurin is hurt major shoulder injury, Shaedon Sharpe was hurt and DNP a lot this season and most likely the Blazers did not want him to play, Brandon Clarke is still recovering from injury. I agree Corey Joseph, Chris Boucher should have been on the training camp roster they were snubbed and it wasn't right but the reality is neither of them would have made the 12 man final roster anyways. A lot of our younger NBA players (recently drafted players) did not get the invite also but this was to be expected as their contracts may prevent it. The final roster should be SGA, Murray, NAW, Nembhard for guards RJ, Brooks, Wiggins, Dort for wings Olynk, Lyles, Powell at forwards/bigs and then Edey will play if he's allowed by the team who drafts him this summer if not I honestly think Kabengele will show out as the best option to replace him he's a versatile athletic big man who can shoot outside, pass, block shots and he is a former first round pick in NBA draft although he plays in Italy now all the more reason it would be good to have a player who is experienced for international play! However, I do agree that the reserve spots which I believe FIBA will allow three could be better based off who is in this training camp pool the boys should be fine and be in great shape to win a medal hopefully gold!🏅 I hope this helps everyone cheers! 🇨🇦

Good roster. Strong. Still a big hole in the middle where an experience big or bigs are required at the centre position in the old school back to the basket int'l game. Good start would have been to add veteran Tristan Thompson for size and grit. Powell and Olynick are not built to play that centre field role as TT would have been in that environment. Already proved it vs Czechia in Vancouver and Serbia a year ago. Also, leaving Cory Joseph off is a mistake as well. Experience should trump other bonafides at these tournaments.

Cory Joseph should have gotten a camp invite. Dalano Banton, Shaedon Sharpe (if healthy), Brandon Clarke (if healthy), Chris Boucher as well. I know Benedict Mathurin is not healthy. Nothing against the Scrubb brothers, Kyle Alexander, Trae Bell-Haynes, Khem Birch, Melvin Ejim but this is another level. They better leave to Paris with an all NBA roster come back with a medal...
    Camp Roster:
    Kyle Alexander
    Nickeil Alexander-Walker
    RJ Barrett
    Trae Bell-Haynes
    Khem Birch

@@shtrvens It's not good business when a medal is concerned. In training camp the players should be going up against the best players available in order to prepare them for the gauntlet of teams that they will face in Paris. Practicing against the Scrubb brothers, Kyle Alexander, Trae Bell-Haynes and Melvin Ejim is not as good as practicing against Boucher, Joseph, Banton, etc. Team Canada didn't even naturalize a citizen for the team like every other medal contending nation has done. Team Canada is using an outdated analog approach in a high speed digital world.

what you want people competing against more importantly are people who are giving their best, that have different backgrounds, and that are good enough to push eachother - that'll create the best team*
the attitude of committment and selflessness is better to be around than something thats not so much that. It might not be perfect - i'd agree with that - but overall, i disagree with their approach being outdated

bartlett is out of touch with reality n he will soon learn. to win you must adopt all type of tactics alien n foreign. Canada will never put itself in a best situation to win a GOLD medal globally if you don't naturalize foreign basketball players to play for our country. olajuwon, kukoc, mutombo, embiid etc have proven that for usa
