Yeah..they could get away with that much easier then, but with some of the newer securities laws and tougher regulations on broker/dealers, its a lot harder and also easier to trace. These crimes now carry very long sentences. Certain types of bonds(Bearer bonds) this can be done, but they lock those joints up in vaults and are not issued in the USA now. I was a stockbroker for quite a few years.
