Teresa was a small-time hood who primarily operated in bookmaking and fencing “hot goods” in the greater Boston area, largely in the Italian-American enclaves of Revere and East Boston. His two books “Vinny Teresa’s Mafia” and “My Life in The Mafia” are good reads if you can find them-the books have been out of print for years.
I had that book, "My life in the Mafia". Supposedly written while he was in Lewisburg Federal Penitentiary.
The place was called Arthurs Farm it was a little shack of a place on RT1 in Revere Ma everything they sold out of there was "HOT" at the time 8 track car stereos were the big thing your car would get broken in they take the player bring it to Arthurs for $20.00 bucks or so they sold it it for back for $40.00 the building is still there today though it no longer sells "HOT STUFF"
@@johnbettano6026 Yes, you are 100% correct about finding “good buys” ie “hot goods” at Arthur’s Farm in Revere, Ma. during the 60’s/70’s. In fact, a few members of the Boston Patriots (precursor to the NFL New England Patriots) got reprimanded by the old AFL league office for shopping at Arthur’s-no criminal charges were ever brought by the da’s office against any of the players, but Life Magazine did an expose piece on the players frequently shopping at the mobbed-up location. There was also a mobbed-up fruit/vegetable stand about a half a mile away from Arthur’s Farm on route 1a in Revere right by St Anthony’s church called “Bruno’s Fruit” that had a “backroom” with “special merchandise” suits/tv’s/radios etc at bargain prices for loyal customers. The good old days in greater Boston.
@@johnbettano6026 Yeah, right. They'd probably pay $2 for an eight track player and then still sell it for $40.
@@johnbettano6026 Down here in Dixie there are little fly-by-night places, 90% of the time kinda out in the sticks - they'll have a bunch of worthless junk and some NICE speakers for sale. One time 20 years ago I found one of these places way out in Etowah County, AL. They had some rusty tools, a box of old country and gospel LPs, some fairly nice car stereos, and a big stack of 7.62x25 for $2 a box. I bought a couple of boxes and headed home. Thank God I checked the ammo out on the net before I used it. It turned out to be VERY hot-loaded Czech subgun ammo, and it might have blown my Tokarev up.
I can’t get enough of this stuff, keep it coming!
I love that he was able to light up a cigarette lol
In such a official government place too! Thats jailtime these days
In 30 years people will look back at "energy" drinks the same way as smoking today. The big difference is kids are included in the marketing of energy drinks.
@@jwvideos7011 ~ It'd be great if they could do the same with cell phones and social media too.
Back then everybody smoked
You could smoke anywhere back in the 80s and 90s even.
Lights up cigarette while giving testimony. This dude is certified 💯!
Yea a certified goof
@@danielsphone9684 Yes, you are indeed.
J F I guess u like rats
Hows that certified
This isn't True Detective were Marty lights up against their objections, back then everybody smoked everywhere. There was no such thing as no smoking signs. Commercials used to have Doctors, athletes, movie stars, all advertising their favorite brand.
Damn the feds even got Clemenza.
lol
🤣
He sounds like Paulie from Goodfellas.
More like clemenza
He was a half of a fry away from a heart attack
More like a cannoli...
Great clip love the Boston area history, it isn’t talked about that much
I must admit that I was unaware of this guy, he was doing basically what Joe Valachi did. "Can't trust them..a shady bunch of characters" lol. Learning something new on this channel.
Tell me that's not Toby Flenderson in the back at 1:23 lmao. The Scranton strangler getting tips
ANOTHER INCREDIBLE VIDEO CLIP !! 👍
I don't know this cat 🐈... I have learned a lot from you MOB FAX. Thank you.
He has a book. I haven’t read it. thank you for the support.
@@MOBFAX I must take a look.👀
It's a good book man
@@lalallange5890 you will like it
He was teaching the new Mob (Politicians) how to steal more then the Mob and never get caught or be held accountable. It was a Master Class because they took it to a whole new level.
Dude lights a smoke while Senator McClellan calls people Pollack's ~ you got love 1971!
It used to just mean a Polish person
Now reading the end of his book ,well interesting
“Fat Vinnie” is a good name, but “Skinny Vinnie” would have been better 😅
@@MrBollocks10 nothing he could do fat Vinnie was made
Wow! Love how Vincent slowly descended on his chair... 🤣
Vincent was made chair wasn't
I like how he looks a little extra shiny in Black & White 😂… did he end up getting made before he turned ?
I have ALWAYS felt that Vinnie's claims of not being made were balderdash. He sure was high-up around there to not be made. Kinda like Joe Valachi's claims of never having actually pulled the trigger. I have trouble believing that either man could be trusted with the things they were trusted with by their respective borgatas without making some bones.
You can see the prosciutto seeping out of his pours
😂
So good. Food in southern Italy is it's the best in the world
@@MOBFAX these are juicy
@@MOBFAX when fat vinnie goes on a picnic the bears hide their food

Thanks 💯
3:10 to 3:15 you can't trust another family, they're a shady bunch of character,s 🤣😂
Fat Vinnie was a shady character. Salute
@@MOBFAX yes he was. 👍
Which family FAT VINNY belongs to. IDK
Whata Jolly fella. He holds his own while having a smoke 🚬 🔥
The interviewer said Pollock. Lol He said Pollocks!
TOO MUCH LINGUINE!!! DON'T FORGET THE MEATBALLS AND CHEESE !!! HAHAHAHA
The Pollocks?
Polish he means, it’s a derogatory term
Back then there was no political correctness. People said what they thought.
That would destroy a political career today.
hope they got Vinnie a hunk o pie
Frank Pentangeli in The Godfather Part II was modeled after Vincent Teresa.Up to this time, Teresa was the highest ranking Mafia member to turn state's witness.
It probably only took him about five minutes to flip. Rat.
yep
The days when we could light up whenever we felt like it. 🚬
Vinnie was made congress wasn't
Lights camera action Fattso gives a fine dramatic reading of the FBI's best creative writing.....
They made him talk with promise of a big lunch.
Are they Italian? German? Pollacks??? bwahahaha
He's the captain for Boston branch of Patriarca crime family If I'm not mistaken
Love this dude !
You can't trust them, they're a shady group of characters. Laughs.
Just checked, died 1990 aged 60 from kidney failure, he was one huge guy and funny.
Funny how ?

Prison food agreed with him
Why did they call him "Fat Vinnie?" 🤔
Because he is fat his blood type is ragu when he goes camping bears have to hide their food
Why they call him 'Fat Vinnie'? I wonder

I have his book! What a great find! This guy was so full of shit but it was a good read
There a shady bunch of characters..
This is my grandfather. He was actually a pretty funny guy 😆
@@christinacantino5473 funny how?
3:05, hilarious!
I had to laugh my ass off when Mr. McClellan asked Vincent if any POLOCKS were part of the organization! Only in the 1950's!
Facts
Have a cookie your delerios
Was this guy made? He seems to think Jews and other non-Italians can hold ranking positions in the organisation, which implies he doesn’t really understand the rules or structure properly.
Back then the stuff we know publicly *now* was not common knowledge, so even a connected guy might not understand it properly. But a made member should...
They couldn't hold actual titles but they could hold rank
@@histguy101 They could hold influence, but they couldn’t hold an official rank
They spelled his surname wrong, Theresa
No, it was Teresa. This is my grandfather.
@@christinacantino5473 watch it again, the title in the old footage
That Mick McClellan said "Polock" at 1:26!
Vito?
Nah he's too busy greasing the union
@@faisalkamal4319 Before...and WAY before.
@@BrutishYetDelightful those this guy ever stop breaking balls
"Are they Italians, Irishmen, POLACKS or Germans or what?" I could not believe he said that. I had to replay it a couple of times.😯😲😳😧
Right! The Poles get no respect! Lol
He actually said that Jews were being made into the Mafia..
😂😂
That's not what he said. He said there were other than Italians in the organization. It's true.
@@histguy101
Other that former Philadelphia boss John Stanfa officially making former Philadelphia LCN soldier John Veasey..who may or may not have been 100% Italian..I'd like for ANYONE to point out ANY example of LCN EVER making ANY non Italian.
@@robertfalcone3025 He never said anything about non-italians being made. The mafia consists of a lot more than just made members. And sometimes they're in high positions in the organization.
@@histguy101 Cmon man..you know I wasn't talking about associates..even someone who has low level mob knowledge knows that.
I was SPECIFICALLY talking about MADE men brother.
I know my shit about LCN history & the only reason Vincent Theresa ever got a book deal is because just like Henry Hill..mob turncoats from that era who actually testified & were willing to tell their stories were few & far between. . that's the ONLY reason that clowns like Teresa & Hill were taken seriously was because there wasn't anyone else with REAL knowledge available..& thats why they could get away with some of the ridiculous bullshit that they mentioned in the books written about them
Now in the days of bosses flipping 2 low level clowns like Teresa & Hill would never have been heard about
@@histguy101 Also other than the Outfit in Chicago..there are NO LCN families that had ANY non Italians in ANY position other than associate
I guarantee that you can't name ONE non Italian in ANY position other than associate..
I'll be waiting..
Jews and Italians lol always in business together .
