  • how to replace the broken lcd display screen on an older model pentair intelliflo variable speed pump. this replacement screen would be a direct swap on the later vfs models, but on this earlier-style intelliflo pump there are a few more steps involved because the drive housing is different. the lid is different. the keypad cover is Almost the same, but not quite. but the screen and keypad itself are the same, can can be changed out using pentair # 357527Z

Just wanted to let you know how amazing your video was! Everything you said in this video was exactly what happened to us. I took my husband less than an hour to complete this process. We currently have a 2012 model and we just finished programming it! Again thank you and keep posting !

Just wanted to say THANK YOU for this video. Purchased the exact same replacement kit from Amazon for around $250. Followed this video exactly (except the hacksaw part, I had a torx screwdriver). Everything snapped off as it showed and snapped back in.
I can program my pump again! 🎉🎉❤❤

Thanks. This is super helpful since I have a 2009 model and I can no longer make out the LCD display screen and I wasn't sure if the current replacement parts will work on my old unit. My first thought was purchasing just the LCD panel to save some steps, but it is cheaper to buy the entire keypad/top cover kit shown in your video for $254.99 vs just the LCD panel for $466.81 on Amazon.

This is my situation exactly, thanks a lot!!! Nice to know you can use the new available part to fix the old.

Damn. Wish I would have seen this before doing what I did. I took the new part, and drilled new mountain holes, was able to use all the old screws, and everything works fine. Had to plug the holes not being used with a dab of silicone to keep it waterproof. Just have to leave a small "cheat sheet" with the new button names inside the cover to remind me of their "new" names. All in all, everything turned out fine, but a lot of work. Good thing I didn't throw the old cable away.
If anyone discovers how to get the "original" cover part, please post it here. Pentair really doesn't show anything. Good pump, but will never buy Pentair again. Over $250 just to replace a little LCD screen is crazy.

I tried replacing the entire key pad as purchased but would not fit. Put everything back together. Couldn’t even return it cause it was more than 30 says. Found your video and I am about to do the entire process you did. If you are ever in SW Florida, beers on me. Thanks
