Dude, great to meet you too! Garrett sent me the video of yours running on what he called nitro propane??? Want me to do a match up to see if it beats the nitro?
holly smoke that event stuffy guy with the 8.54 was a letter rip tatter chip oofta!!! what a ripper. u can definitely tell u gotta have that tune spot on with the big expansion piped saws seems they did not do as well. great job on your build and win brother !!! that was the bonified ripper !!
Awesome run! I am just now at 46 getting back into saws. They were my grass roots when I was a kid dumpster diving them and flipping them at fleemarkets. I eventually graduated from small engines to big blocks. I might try to be there next year. I have my fathers 2003 pre-strato with low hours- otherwise, I am a Husqvarna guy 100%. It is funny how you can tell the announcer had his favorites. I love when a newcomer steps up and b-slaps the old staples in the gills ;) Love your channel! Not too far away in Arkansas.
If any one other than Dyno Joe was running that saw ot would have been regarded as a total flop... close only counts in horse shoes, hand grenades, and a few other instances...
Thanks for posting this and congrats on winning the Wild Thing contest. This looks like it was a really fun event. I never thought I'd see the day the Wild Thing became popular. 🤣🤣🤣
Nice coverage and excellent job implementing the N20. I have a 2150 that runs nice with minor mods. 1/4 pitch chain excels on the low hp saws, but requires q bit more attention (not an issue for racing though)
Congratulations! I think you were also fastest stocker in the clone wars- or close to fastest. Sawfest looked like a lot more fun than Paul Bunyan. You should probably pick up 500 new subs this week.
It was a blast, Walt. It was really fantastic to get the opportunity to compete on an achievable level. This was the only class that we could get goofy with, the rest were all reasonable, regular ported saws. Nothing too crazy.
Thanks man. My favorite thing about the saw is that it still fires right up, idles perfect and is just ready to go. It turned out to be an excellent little saw. I actually built it about a year ago, and it is quite a solid little unit that never lets me down.
What is the size of the wood? And what type of wood is it? I would love to test my Poulan 2150 in the same size and wood here to see how it goes up against those wild things.
Dang it man!!!! 81/2 and you missed your tug up just a bit…. Had you not missed on the tug up your number would have been a 7 and 1/2 … and you would have totally smoked them!!!! That’s freaking fantastic for you dude!!!! Your little dry spray rig was right on the money!!! That’s super cool! That’s an absolutely awesome little system… you need to put your name on those and start selling those as little kits… everyone who plays with saw’s will want one to play around with I’d imagine!!! I know that I sure as hell would like to see how it would be on my 372 or 660 play build’s!!! This is really a fantastic video because it really slows what racing is all about… you can have the badest saw on the planet but it’s just a little different temperature or something and your not tuned perfectly and she doesn’t crack off and blast so your not cutting for crap!! The more extreme the more finicky an engine is!!!! Race saw’s are finicky bastards!!! You and TW both had really good looking three cut runs with great form for guys who are just getting into racing saw’s or whatever!! That’s freaking impressive dude!!! You gotta admit…when you were talking about this whole deal a couple days ago when you said sure I’d love to win but there’s a lot of experienced guys gonna be there so I’m just trying to meet up with a couple other saw nuts and have some fun!!! Well holy smokes Batman and kick the cat and slam the screen door… you WON that SUMBITCH!!!’ WooHoo buddy!!!! Absolutely love the Little Stihl Fanboy BUSTIN’ too!!’ Right on!!! You’re going home with a Wicked Awesome Trophy 🏆!!! Poulan Wildthing Champion!!!! Baby!!! Miss’s Novice Lumberjack is gonna be proud of her man, baby!!! LMFFAO!!! Can’t wait to check out your video on your little dry shot system!!! You made an excellent showing buddy and you definitely introduced yourself to the community… the novice lumberjack has a couple tricks up his sleeve!!! LMFFAO! Fantastic Buddy!!! Very Proud of your success!!! Awesome job! Way to kick butt in the form too… those three cuts look really easy when your sitting on the couch… it’s a totally different animal when it’s live and it’s you in front of the crowd of people and all eyes are on you!!! Great job dude!!! Great job!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💪😎👍🍺🍺🍺🍺🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🍺🍺🍺🍺✊🇺🇸🇺🇸
If I wasn't mechanically inclined that is what I would be doing with mine also. Hey man, just curious, but after watching what a bunch of crafty Dude's are able to do with their free time, how are you not too embarrassed by yourself to make that comment?
@1d1hamby No, most buy it for a project to do once (economy non pro saw) and then it sits on a shelf for 10 years. They go to use it and it will start and then kill. They take it to a shop who wants as much as the saw costed to fix it. Repair shop acquires it for free and then people like you see in this video have a rather clean, unmolested saw they can have their way with. Already, time for a MIND BLOWING comment (poof-poof,) people with boats actually buy purpose built "iron" anchors for their boats. But your cute Dude, really fcn cute Dude, how about you bend over for me while you are at it...
Seems like alot of the mildly modified ones ran better than the ones that went crazy with sleeves, and aftermarket carbs and this an that. Dyno joes saw would have done a little better if his pipe had a broader power band. Congrats on the win!
You have to balance the torque curve just right. Would you rather have a 1000 HP saw with 1 foot pound of torque or 500 horse power with 650 foot pounds of torque? Saws run different under load and at different elevations.
You know what... EVERY ONES saw would have done a little better if only they... I have like one thousand interests and it never fails- in every little niche hobby I have it seems as though there is always that has been fan favorite... I would argue the ither way- how the fck can you have a dyno and not run circles around every competitor you come across? Nothing personal to Joe, but ya'll gotta ease off your knees a tad...
Yeah. Someone has already commented that their ms311 would beat all of them. I thought, "hmmm, he must have missed Mufasa beating the 500i at the end". Or possibly, he's just messing with me.
Still-borns are not bad saws. I just find it hard to justify the cult like ideology- they are like Apple fan-boys with blinders. And the whole only get your Still-Born serviced by a certified Still-Born dealer crap along with the parts politics NO THANK YOU. Buy a Husqvarna or an Echo. I could go on for an hour why a Husqvarna is the "all around" best choice. A Still-Born guy just says "it is because it is."
There were Craftsman badged equivalents for almost all of the line. The Craftsman "40cc Special" was the 2375 equivalent with a few minor quality upgrades and black and gold insteaf of red, at least on my Type 2.
I had no idea there was a community around these little saws. I had to go get my mom's out of her shed and tear it down for cleaning and new fuel lines. Fortunately the carb looks immaculate on the inside and just needs cleaning on the outside.
Sure you can, im a mechanic passionate in two stroke dirtbike, 125 and old vespa crazy engine builds here in Italy, all bikes i have seen running nos have always a calculated pipe, imagine the revs Who can do a Little chainsaw with that! 🤣
It wouldn't help much. Power adders take you from point A to point Z like chutes and ladders like Novice said. Naturallyasperated (NA) is where the added flow helps the most but without KILLING the torque like most of these guys did.
Was iron horse there ? I know he was making a wild thing but I havnt heard anything about it ?? Really a cool event I wish I could of made it out there
I was thinking the same thing! Like if you are connected enough to be the paint boy how about just building a saw and competing? I got 5 on it says paint boy was tossed a nepo burger ;)
Exactly what I was thinking- he bobbles and still wins! No disrepect intended, I would probably bobble to under all of that pressure. You can't be that guy with the over the top moddified saw who puts on a bog show...
This makes me feel valid for owning a wild thing. Its not my only saw but it's my first saw and still loved. :)
This turned out to be much more entertaining than if they all had flawless runs. Good job capturing this event

CONGRATS ON THE WIN! You and Eric were in a different league!
Great video! Was awesome to meet you, thanks for giving my saw a run too.
Dude, great to meet you too! Garrett sent me the video of yours running on what he called nitro propane??? Want me to do a match up to see if it beats the nitro?
@@novicelumberjack
Definitely worth a shot! That stuff really added some lunch.
Congratulations great job buddy you did great an I had a blast hanging out with you
Excellent to hang with you too Charlie. You and your saws were KICKIN!
@@novicelumberjack Charles definitely builds amazing saws!!!
holly smoke that event stuffy guy with the 8.54 was a letter rip tatter chip oofta!!! what a ripper. u can definitely tell u gotta have that tune spot on with the big expansion piped saws seems they did not do as well. great job on your build and win brother !!! that was the bonified ripper !!
Congrats to the winner! Keep an eye out for Dyno Joe in the future. He's on another level with porting and tuning power saws.
Yeah Joe is great! Hopefully I will be able to give Muffasa some more muscle!
Ebay is going to be overwhelmed with Wild things after this!!!
Good job Boedy! Congrats on the Wild Thing! And you kicked some serious butt in the overall too!
Awesome run! I am just now at 46 getting back into saws. They were my grass roots when I was a kid dumpster diving them and flipping them at fleemarkets. GREAT job Boedy.
Man there was a lot of potential in Dyno Joe's saw too.
If any one other than Dyno Joe was running that saw ot would have been regarded as a total flop... close only counts in horse shoes, hand grenades, and a few other instances...
Buddy. It was a absolute pleasure getting to meet ya. And hanging out
Thanks for posting this and congrats on winning the Wild Thing contest. This looks like it was a really fun event. I never thought I'd see the day the Wild Thing became popular. 🤣🤣🤣
At this point...it ist a truly fun and reliable little saw.
I’ve got a handful of saws and believe it or not if I’ve just got some light work to do, I always reach for my wild thing. Ol’ faithful.
Awesome that Dyno Joe was there and good job on the Wild Thing that saw ran awesome
Yeah, I love watching his videos and he was excellent to meet and talk with. Top notch guy and builder right there.
Congrats bro! Love to see it! Wish dyno joes would not have stumbled, his runs impressively
That's fantastic man congrats. Thanks for bringing the action to those that weren't there. Subs rising too.
Nice coverage and excellent job implementing the N20.
I have a 2150 that runs nice with minor mods. 1/4 pitch chain excels on the low hp saws, but requires q bit more attention (not an issue for racing though)
Excellent video coverage on the wild thing shootout!! The group picture was pretty cool.
Yes it was! Mannnnnnn, I had SUCH a good time!
Well done Boedy. Great to have your enthusiasm and passion at the event. Excellent video. Can’t wait to see the rest.
That was a pretty impressive run you made man
Great video, them Wild things make your heart sing 😂
Congratulations! I think you were also fastest stocker in the clone wars- or close to fastest. Sawfest looked like a lot more fun than Paul Bunyan. You should probably pick up 500 new subs this week.
Congratulations and another great build awesome job man
Thanks man. I really appreciate it! It was a great time.
Congratulations my friend. Awesome saw ❤️🌲🪓👊🏻🙏🏻
Thanks John, it was great to see you again!
Congratulations! Good job! Very fun to watch!
Holy shit... the amount of work some people put into a shit saw to run like shit is amazing.... Sometimes the bottle is the answer.
Congrats that was fun to watch.
My first saw a Wild Thing.
it's funny that a few builders actually made them cut slower than stock, I didn't think that was possible.
ahaha epic didnt knew all of you guys were preparing for competition with your Wild thing ! XD
Oh yeah man! It's a different saw every year for the Cheap Saw Challenge.
Congratulations 🎊 👏 IL be there next year! Looks like you had a good time!!
It's a blast man, you'll love it!
Well done Boedy, did great man👍🏻
It was great to meet you there this weekend
Heck yeah man!! Great meeting you too!
Great footage. Nail biter between you and Eric Nichols run. Fun to watch.
It was really close. Hopefully next year I'll get some good practice in before hand and not have any stumbles.
That was awesome congrats dude!
Is there a trophy for the slowest time? Lol! Great job!
That was awesome!! How did the 757 run?
Where do you get those. If expansion pipes??
That was avery impressive Wild Thing race !!! Just imagine what you can do to that Poulan 5200,,,,
That looks like so much fun.. I wanna make the 30hr drive next year
There where a couple guys that came in from Canada, but not as far as you. I think they where saying 16 hours.
@novicelumberjack where is this festival at?
Really liked how you did the side by side comparisons
Thanks man. Kinda my textbook move. I always have proof.
@@novicelumberjack you definitely have gotten really good at the side by sides
You showed up !!! Congrats 💪
Yeah man! It was AWESOME!
Wow this looks like a really fun event / idea
It was friggin AWESOME!
Damnnn those nitrous kits kick assssss. Definitely put that down in notes
It was friggin awesome! I'll do a nice breakdown video on all the things I did to it and how I got the nitrous to work so well.
That looks like a LOT of fun was had by all.

Good run!!
Way to go looked like a fun time might have to go next year peace
Great job hopefully you have more video
Congratulations! 🎉 looked like a friggin blast👍🏻
Best Western? Just guessing by the colors and picture, as I'm in one in Alabama right now.
Congrats
Looks like you had a great time.
Oh man....SO good!
Congrats man you did well was ironhorses wild thing there
Some people hate on Poulan a lot but if it was good enough for Leatherface it's good enough for me
Good job man most of the time i find consistency is best and it it aint braggin if you can back it up
Thanks man. My favorite thing about the saw is that it still fires right up, idles perfect and is just ready to go. It turned out to be an excellent little saw. I actually built it about a year ago, and it is quite a solid little unit that never lets me down.

Good job!!!
Did ironhorse make it ??? Didnt see him in the footage.
Sadly, know. Not 100% sure what is going on there, but everyone was disappointed for sure. I hope all is well.
@@novicelumberjack yeah def
Nice joe!!
Congratulations!!!!
Thanks man! First time ever messing with nos, that stuff WORKS!
What is the size of the wood? And what type of wood is it? I would love to test my Poulan 2150 in the same size and wood here to see how it goes up against those wild things.
I think that is part of the reason why so many failed. If I was you, get the hardest piece of wood you can and practice tune on that...
Congratulations Mr. Boedy, sir !
YeaaaaHawww !!!
LOL. My uncle had one of those saws when I was a kid. I used to think it was so cool.
It is kewl- even though it was all marketing the colors and concept are pretty origional!
You did a great job
Yeah he did- me beek stiffed up watching those 3 cuts...
Holy dukes! .1 second!
Very nice!
Thanks man!
Right nice run. I bet you started a trend. Can you look one of those over the top saws on nitrous. That will fatten that power band.
That's awesome. I bought a wild thing 14" for 25 bucks. Gonna port it and do a base gasket delete.
Congrats. Did good

I use my wild thing chainsaw for a boat anchor , it really works well 🔙
Isn't that what most people use it for?

The only fast Pollan out there
What state is this in ??
I am trying to figure that out also. The generic event name makes a web search difficult. When I find out I will let you know!
Pretty funny Muffasa ... looks like fun.
That 2150 is the same saw craftsman made for a while I had Each one of them and they were identical
