I think I have the solution to the massive pile of shoes in your closet! This rotating shoe rack will take your messy closet full of pairs of shoes and turn it into a compact organized oasis! Easily fit 52 pairs of shoes on this lazy susan shoe rack and have a great time spinning it to find your pair of shoes.
This carousel shoe rack has different height segments that efficiently store all sizes of shoes from small children's shoes to larger adult pairs of shoes
The shoe rack is made from 3/4" plywood and can be easily made using a circular saw and jig saw, you do NOT need all the tools that I have in my shop to make this closet organization solution.
Big thanks to RIDGID for sponsoring our channel check out their latest power tool promotions!

I used PureBond plywood for this project, US made and available exclusively at The Home Depot.

Just a quick note, in case you read these comments, Tyler. I really (REALLY!) appreciate that you show the finished item you're making at the beginning of the video. Giving me (the viewer) some *context* to understand all of the following construction steps is so important.... So--it's just a little, tiny thing--but I wanted to thank you for the consideration.
Thanks for the feedback! Always good to see that you guys enjoy the style, thanks for watching!
jaydub I second that!
I love this but I want to see something that turns in yours in closet while holding up clothes on hangers.
Nice job Tyler! That turned out awesome. I came home the other night and my daughter was watching this video because it popped up on the iPad. "Dad, look what DIYTyler just made! Make me one please!"
Nice project! For people who don't have a bandsaw, and want to avoid the flexing of a jigsaw blade, dressing up the inaccurate edge with a sander, etc., my favorite way to cut circles is on the table saw, and _not_ with a sled and nibbling away flat scraps. Install a pivot pin in the table top, lower the blade fully, put the wood with the pivot hole over the pin, and raising the blade by small amounts like 1/8" at a time so as to not over-stress the blade with excessive 'side scratching', cut a deeper and deeper circle as the blade is raised. This creates a cut with a straight side toward the circle, and a curved side toward the scrap.
Yeah ok, this vid rocks. Well done n many thanks for the super effort sharing the vid. Really pushing the extreme for the next project. Well done!
Great Idea Tyler. Well done!
Wonderful work!Thank you for displaying your creativity. It will save me a lot of space in the closet; my shoes will look organized, and it will fit in the closet.
Made mine today! My wife works in fashion.... LOTS OF SHOES!!!!
Great idea. Job well done.
אדיר!!!!
כל הכבוד אתה מקצועי מאוד
I might need about 2 of these for my wife’s shoes.
Luis F Gerena: Just two? Your a lucky man!
Truth
Such a lucky guy.

WOW! What a great job you've done! I hope the plans are still available because I want to give it a try. Actually, I don't need it as much for shoes as I do for jeans, sweaters, sweatshirt, sweatpants, etc. I live in Washington and those warm winter (or cool Fall) clothes fill a drawer so quickly and then I've got to dig through everything in the drawers to find the one thing I want. With your wonderful rotating rack, I could see everything at a glance!! Thanks for taking the time to create this video, I really appreciate your work!
What a good idea! I need to make one that way my husband can have room for his stuff in our closet. 😬 Btw, I love when your kids make cameo appearances in your videos. They are so adorable. And they have their own wood working baby tools?! Awesome! “Wohohoho dad look at it!’ He’s so stinkin’ cute! Excellent job Tyler!
Wow.. you did an amazing job
What a great idea and job!
Nicely done!

Did you ever make it?
Awesome Job Tyler!! Looks great and it functions.
Thanks Dale!!

Wow ferfec nice color
Hi Tyler, great build. I used your design but made the spaces smaller and wrapped clear perspex around the outside and it is perfect for nuts, bolts, washers etc.
Thanks for sharing. After seeing the location for the shoe holder, I can see the sense in this design. Nice!
Always a reason! Thanks for watching Jeff.
nice job mate! well done...
SUPER Nice Man! - I really appreciate guys like you that take times to show in details a project like this one.
Definitely on my DIY list in a very near future.

Turned out amazing Rach! I wish I had somewhere for one of my own 😍 Also I feel you with the Cali sass - Belle has got some serious attitude today! 🐶🙄 4:19
Well done
Nice build. Very practical. Thanks for sharing.
I know this kind of rotating racks for office papers These are very expensive because they must be "heavy dutuy".
So many shoes I do not have. Maybe it can be transformed for storing tools in it.
Great job 👏
Great project.
How many rs
Brilliant!
Nice Job!!
Tyler you are amazing all over again!
Lord Bless
Thanks for watching!!
Good job 👏
This is so awesome Tyler ,i appreciate your talent. I must say to that i will love to learn this hand work . I will appreciate if you can teach me more of this from scratch i learn fast i know. Thanks
Tnx for sharing your talent... Nice one👍👍👍 4:27
Very nice
Thank you. I appreciated no music background. I really enjoyed this video: the project itself, your skills, the narrative about what you were doing, and the quality of the final product. The only thing I noted that surprised me was the circular saw cut - really ragged. I'm sure you took that into consideration when making the final product. Thank you again. I think something like this might make a quality project for a local flower shop looking for shelving options.
I thumbed this up SOLELY because you said to hammer it!
I liked the video and the idea, but the tools reference got me!
Hammer time!! Thanks for watching!
You are amazing!!!
Great Job!😉
Funny you did that. I'm making a purple one with LED lights for the girls. Nice job brother T.
I should make myself one. I totally loved it. Hopefully you can make one for me. 😊😊 I love shoe racks since I'm a shoeaholic. I have more than my hobby. God bless you.
That’s awesome
Amazing 😉
Parabéns ótimo trabalho
Damn cool solution
Nice job Tyler. One of your better videos.
Thanks man!!
Awesome job Tyler I miss wood working at school so I came across your channel and I have to say I love your videos and what type of jeans are those awesome jeans by the way I'm looking forward to order mine
That is very cool :)
Nicely done Tyler, FYI another good inexpensive 360 degree mechanism is a boat seat swivel available at Walmart and online they have a pretty decent rating for weight but aren’t as low profiled as your lazy Susan bearings or as nice looking just a thought for you to keep in mind if you are on a budget friendly build in the future ? Your kids are getting big! I got a kick out of your son swinging the hammer in the back ground reminded me of my son years ago true story i had a day off a while ago and decided to take advantage of running new base molding while my kids were in school and I couldn’t find my hammer but i found my sons. Little kids one a neighbor stopped by out of curiosity. On why i was home and when she walked in and saw that hammer she could not stop laughing i thought it was funny as well as i was a professional Woodworker for 20 years and i was using a 5 year olds hammer that came in some little tool kit he got for Christmas ! Reality was i was using a nail gun and the hamme was only for setting a few nails if i needed to so it wasn’t that big of a deal i had left my hammer in a tool box at my shop but i was determined that I wasn’t going to buy some overpriced one at my local hardware store Just to set a few nails plus truth be told i love my old one that ive used for over many years that happens to be a old Sears Craftsman hickory wood handled trim hammer I’m pretty sure was manufactured by Plumb for Sears the balance and the handle is perfect IMO and as dumb as it may sound I’m pretty attached to it as it helped me put food on my table for a long time and keep a roof over our heads etc
That thing came out great, Tyler! I agree with you, it would be nice to have a larger diameter, but the extra cost in plywood might not be worth it since you couldn't get the side by side out of one sheet. Great video!
And in our case we couldn't fit it! The plans have the option for a 26" setup and you definitely need a third sheet of 3/4" plywood.
babysitting and woodworking FTW!!!
That is how you do it!
Idea: slip ring to provide spinnable power with an LED to light up the shoes in in each compartment?
Looks awesome. I recognise the celebratory laugh at 9:12 as well, a good feeling when a plan comes together. Keep up the great work, love your vids mate.
Aaron DC mediA He just needs a cigar in his mouth and it’d be complete! Lol!
OUTSTANDING “LAZY SHOESAN”!!!!! My husband just got this link in his text message... 😂
LOL....I see what you did there!
Best fidget spinner build I've seen.
hehehe
nice work how much did it cost for all the supplies used
Very nice....
Good shoe rack
Very nice work ' can you make impossible revolving cabinet?
That was a lovely project. I would like to know if we can do a shoe rack which could accommodate the long boots at the bottom and daily shoes in the rows above
Would be perfect for my wife! Looks great!
Thanks Robert!
Tyler, excellent build~! Your creativity is truly inspiring~!! Keep'em coming~!!! : - )
Great proyect , how ever i like somethin like that but for
books.
round revolving bookcase..any ideas .. thanks blessings
Nice job Tyler. You certainly have a lot of patience. A sign of a good woodworker. How do you like the new place? Farther drive to work?
New place is great. Went from an hour (60+ miles) drive to 30 mins (18 miles).....much better. Thanks for asking and for watching!
انت رائع واصل ابداعك *****
I LOVE this! I shouldn’t have shown my wife. She wants two that are half size to fit in our closet. Great work! #TeamRidgid
Do it Brad! Thanks for watching!
Yes 👍
Nice project. Some of the shoe partitions could be two columns instead of a full square. It reduces the weight, it can give extra space for longer shoes and you can see the other side to find shoes easier.
Freaking brilliant
I really love this idea. Clutter sufficient 101. Lol..
Shouldn't have showed "the wife" this one. Nice build Tyler. Glad you are back. Hoping you and you family are coping as best as you can. ❤️🙏🏻
Ha! Now you are gonna have to make one! Thanks for watching Gary, we are doing quite well thanks.
can u do a construction video
of a lazy susan dvd holder with individual slots for each dvd :) would be awsome to watch
