Chevy 2 complete rear suspension overview.

- I have covered the Chevy 2 rear suspension a couple times now. It's very popular so I figured I would do a little show and tell on a complete install we just finished. The customer already had the housing, we shortened it to 45.5" housing end to housing end for a total wheel mount surface of 50.5". Add brake rotors and some 15x10 wheels with a 5" backspace and we will probably have to add a small wheel spacer. Tech tip- its easier to add a 1/4" wheel spacer then it is to cut the housing down. Factory fuel tank installed, ARB kit installed, detroit speed mini tub installed, and the relocation kit with frame connectors installed. I think this is as far as it's worth going. You already cut into the frame rails for the mini-tub, and the 275 is an ok fit. There isn't a bunch of extra room. Enjoy the quick video maybe it answers a question or two. Until next time!

Would square tubing be better for the frame connectors vs the tube connectors?
@@riggedandjimmiedgarage7268 Good evening...I would say either will work just fine. I like round tube for weight savings and general ascetics. If square is easier for you, that would be fine in my view. The goal of the frame connector is to transfer the force from the tire through the spring into the box.
@@funkhouserracecars id agree with the round tube and weight savings. I think the connectors need to be welded to the floor on these cars as mine is very flimsy and i couldn't really tell a difference with the frame connectors bolted on in place.

Im working on it right now. I can only move the spring in a tiny bit at the front without massive overhaul. I already build a 1.75" offset slider for the back that helps to make that additional tire clearance for the back of the spring.
