Welcome to the Funkhouser Race Cars youtube channel! We are a Race car fabrication shop specializing in chassis parts, fabrication, maintenance and service. We do in-house CNC machining, CNC plasma cutting to supply customers with high quality race car parts for their projects. I post the how-to videos for customer convivence on the channel for help with installation on their race cars.

Title says it all! Some details about the sliders, hardware overview, and I went ahead and stuck the short install video in there as well. I also put the short video about pressing the bushings into the spring as well. I'd say this is a word vomit of instructions, mumbling, and hopefully a few answered questions with any luck...lol Enjoy ladies and gents!

Here is a chassis we make for 62-67 chevy 2's. We have 62-65 post and hardtop as well as 66-67 hardtop only. We can supply this chassis tack welded or fully welded in many different configurations. This one has no double frame rails, but they can be added. This car has a complete 4-link suspension, we can also do a stock leaf spring style suspension as well. This video I try to detail a few tips into installing your new FRC roll cage into a Chevy 2. I tried to get some good shots of the cage in its early stages. I show the holes in the floor to help gain clearance for welding the roof 360.

Fabbed some slider brackets for Daves' AMX a little while ago. These are the same slider bodies we install and sell in most of our GM applications. The bolt holes to the outside of the body make it easy to mount to a factory style frame rail.

New billet flange for intercooler watertanks. I wanted some style on this new intercooler, and I dont like to weld a plain weld bung to the watertanks anymore, so I machined up these end tank flanges.

Leaf Spring Slider Bushing Install

Leaf spring slider bushing install. A little of sanding and prep work will help the bushing sit flat, and seat flush against the spring eyelet. The bushing will be out of round after it is pressed into place, don't be worried about resizing the bushing with a drill motor and a 5/8" drill bit. The bushing must fit tight in the eyelet, and the axle should slide through for an easy install.

eventually yes...the tack welded stock suspesion unit is on there. i need to split it up to have some addrional options

Like I want to do a dash doors windows ac heat radio even carpet I’m expecting to work on this project for about the next five years

Let me check, we did a Falcon a year ago. Email matt@funkhouserracecars.com and Ill check to see to what year Falcon we have in drawn. It started as an 850 cert, then we added the 25.3 stuff to it before it left.

Whats the price on 1st gen cage? Didnt see anything listed on your website.
I've been working on updating the website as time goes on. This cage kit in 4130 tubing is about $2200. It depends on some options and what pieces you want or need.

how did you attach in the rear? tapper to frame or more outriggers? and what about shoulder height and angle to seat bar for belts?
The rear kickers are landed on the framerails. The shoulder bar I would have to measure. I can give you more details if you call me. Thanks!
Extended cab not through the glass?
Only way to be legal and not through the glass is 25.2. I would do an extra cab if I could find one.
Meet a longer bolt. Threads should not be touching the part of the box. Over time the bolt will wear out. Tim Mc Amis on CZcams is where I got that info

I just installed Calvert split monos, caltrac bars, your shock plates and sliders, and Viking DA shocks on the rear of my truck. I should have done an install video on my channel but I was in a hurry.
Im really going to work on making these short install videos. Im always in a hurry as well, and working on clipping my videos is the last thing Im thinking about.
