Anne Robinson hosts the elimination quiz where nine people compete to win up to £10,000. Eight players leave with nothing as each in turn is voted the "Weakest Link" by their team mates. - Zábava
I used to watch this after school! Such a great show
Same the weakest link followed by the simpsons
21:00 A question about Wet Wet Wet
I fall asleep to this show every night. It’s coming back in America and I’m super excited
Me too as well
Me too what channel did it used to be on
Not only have I never seen so many consecutive passes and incorrect answers, I've also never seen so many ties!
That one where all four voted for each other was epic.
4:42 Tadpoles is the episode of Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom and features on some videos on CZcams which also includes Queen Thistle’s Day Off
I agree with you @Z0S0900.....this is the first for me too.
Aww, Andrea used to be my year 7 English and P.E teacher. She was awesome! I was gutted when she left!
liar
+MY BEAST CLAN CHANNEL SUBCRIBERS ONLY because out of all the things in this world I could lie about, I'd chose this! Muppet!
sam sam I don't think she's lying
I Love Margot Robbie she! I'm a lady lol. But thanks, I'm not lying!
NO WAY
This is excellent out of the dozen or so episodes I've watched this is the first time they've banked their thousand pounds BRAVO
Wow, the music in these early days when they reached the £1,000 target! That sounds awesome!
The victory theme was way better than the theme they used in later 2001/02
Your profile pic took me to your channel and now you've got a new subscriber.
18:07 Anne: Astonishingly though it may seem the man who's job is food processing and who thinks that an edible oil pickle for eating is an orange was statistically the worst player but don't let me influence you.
*Andrea immediately changes her vote to Andy*
Do remember the contestants are allowed to change their mind if they want to
11:15 Don't you just hate it when they don't bank before the time is up missing out on a extra £20-£50
What I also find annoying is when someone banks immediately after an incorrect answer. I mean, it's no good trying to bank an empty chain, it just doesn't work.
9:08 Ellie Goulding has her own song interlude the intro of Worry About Me is “Overture”
When you hear the music coming to an end just bank!!!
I hate it too. I be saying to the screen BANK BANK!!!
I'm watching this on March 9, 2019. 18 years later
+ 1
Same, in June
@Brandon Greenleaf lol , that's a good one.
Ok but did you watch it 19 years later?
Yes, 37:46 Well, Just in case they are, Let me give them this piece of information that you’re going home in the knowledge that you’ve answered more questions incorrectly then you’ve answered correctly, With two votes You are the Weakest Link goodbye.
I used to watch this and fall asleep but I wish it was on now cause I'd probably enjoy watching it.

Why was this so funny to me?😂😂
Me too.
18:02, 23:06, 33:28 When the vote is tied the strongest link has to cast the deciding vote
Their accent
When you know you want someone gone.
Ikr, poor Paul😂
Andrea saved Leigh from elimination by switching her vote but Leigh didn't save her back.
£1890 is rather pathetic seeing as they did get The £1,000 Target in Round 1 I would've expected the Total Bank to be at least £2000-£3000
David Fearis the first round were easy questions....they got so much harder for sure the very next round and never stopped being hard lol
Mr Strevens I've watched a number of your posts and this is the best quality yet thank you
I think Ann called Astra "Asda" at one point 🤣
As Claire put it, Ann was "picking on Andy from the start. Then, in the 3-way tie in the 3rd round, she forcefully pointed out Andy's flaws. Andrea had voted for Leigh, and, after hearing Ann's diatribe against Andy, Andrea changed her mind Ann said, "Don't let me influence you!" Translation: I want Andy to go!
I thought it was Ruth who she wanted to go.
Andrea was the strongest link. At 17:20, when the votes are counted, there was a 3-way tie: After Ann's strongly worded disapproval of Andy, Andrea changed her vote from Leigh, to Andy.
Yet another interesting development: Andrea saved Leigh in the third round tie. Later, in the 6th round, there was a 4-way tie. And who did Leigh vote for? Andrea. Luckily, for Leigh she answered the only question that was correct, in that round, making her the strongest link. With that, it's on to other shows of my currently favorite program.
‘right, time to have a lie down ruth’
"Because he is the weakest link and he's wearing yellow! ^_^ "
Lol, that got me laughing all day!!!
I like the winning music in this episode
"condensation is when a gas changes into a what?" "... a water?"
Keith: "I would vote Astra off next because I think it's a silly name" 🤣
Brill!
Ian not banking in that round where Astra and Leigh were getting most of their questions right and then fucking up the questions triggered my fight or flight.
I’m addicted to this show and I’m not even from the UK 🦉
Leigh was a wothy winner
Astra and Leigh were very worthy finalists
I was thinking "oh she's good" when they were doing well in the early rounds so it's a rare karmic occurrence when two consistently solid players make the finals.
Claire 35 Payroll Supervisor
Keith 58 Businessman
Lee 41 Freelance Writer
Ruth 60 Retired
Andy 34 Company Director
Andrea 24 Teacher
Ian 48 IT Tutor
Astra 30 Physiotherapist
Paul 25 Psychology Student
lol her students were telling her she is the weakest link 😂
I think her students were just repeating the famous line from the show and not telling their teacher she’s going to be the weakest link.😁

Narrator: Here are today's team of nine contestants preparing for the show.
Contestants: *Sitting around talking*
Lmao what kind of name is Astra makes me think of the car lol
Maybe her parents drove a Vauxhall lol
My dog is called Astra
bro i get so annoyed when people don't bank and STILL get the question wrong.
I’m glad astra did well
Iv never seen so many passes and wrong answers
You and Me Both
I think Anne Robertson was so pretty when she did this show. Unfortunately we all have to age sometime and not look so young anymore. I sometimes wonder how I got to be 68 years old. Where DID the time go?
Aw i love when ann relaxes and rips them out the old shows are too serious but i know its new show for her then
Watching this as an innocent Canadian 10 year old is wayyy different from watching again as a 32 year old stoner in Hanoi in the middle of a global pandemic (Go Viet Nam!!!) in 2020
Woah.. im also in hanoi but im a drunk. What a coincidence
No roots, just leaving your homeland, barf.
The is the first time watching this after 20 years
I knew you could do it Leigh
Who's watching this in 2020?
Me! Watching in 🇨🇦.
Whoooooa! The Colorado River (29:50) doesn't even come within a few hundred miles of Texas, much less through Austin, which in the middle of the state!! Did no one hear that?
I don't like how Anne influences them on who gets voted off.
Which contestant was namerd after the car they were concieved in?
Damn I was rooting for Andrea, she’s the hot one! 😂
Keith should have been voted off in the second round because he said two chemical elements
Anyone have The Weakest Link UK episodes for April 2001? Can’t find them on any platform!
I have 1 edition if you’d like to buy it
The questions on this are much easier than I remember
That's only Round 1 where it's easier
It'll get harder through the round
@@stephensnell1379 ahhh I see, I forgot that
*My voting each round:*
R1 - *_Paul_* (failed to say drum is a percussion instrument & photosynthesis)
R2 - *_Keith_* (saying water instead of liquid in condensation question)
R3 - *_Leigh_* (easy _The Simpsons_ and polygon questions) / *_Andy_*
R4 - *_Ruth_* (no correct answers)
R5 - *_Keith_*
R6 - *_Leigh_* (Colorado)
R7 - *_Ian_* (only lad left)
see how much the game chnaged basically anne was tellin them to rid of andy in round 3...
No, she told them to get rid of Ruth.
Ill never understand why people dont guess instead of saying pass
nerves
You might end up saying sth really stupid and you get remembered during the voting
It literally sounds like Anne is saying the last round your amount will be trebled!
That's what she said. It is a British thing.
And it DOES GET TREBLE IN THE FINAL ROUND(FROM ALL THE PREVIOUS ROUND)
I almost thought Ms Robinson wasn't going to be even-handed with the tie-breaking facts, although she still seemed to have more against the victim of the first change of vote than the second (or the third, a non-change).
Lots of passing instead of guessing; perhaps Washington was the worst such.
Wow - fourteen consecutive incorrect answers in one round.
Fini
I actually get really annoyed when they pass instead of just having a guess. If Anne says: "What city", just pick a city! It could be right.
I didn't like it when she used to shout at people.
Yeah, saying pass to that question alone should merit him being voted off. I mean, at least guess the name of a president that died a long time ago! Unless he doesn't know of any.
Friday 9th March 2001
27:20 There are 5 players and only 3 questions answered correctly that round, which means at least 2 people got all their questions wrong, so what statistics are they going by?
Same question at 32:10.
I think it has something to do with the number of questions somebody has answered incorrectly, and whether they bank or gain money for the team.
@@TheStrev But if everyone's getting their questions wrong (which they all seemed to be doing), they wouldn't have had the chance to bank.
@@reubenmanzo2054 I see, in that case it normally be the case of being "joint Weakest Links", which they haven't said for some reason
Probably how fast they answered is what I reckon. Could be wrong though
During ROUND 6 you can tell Anne Robinson was getting annoyed with the contestants failing to show any intelligence at all!
Andrea really should've BANKED that £20 it wasn't like they were going to get a chain of correct answers at all other than the 1 correct answer
To be fair being may have thought Anne Robinson was out of order, but then she was being brutally honest, and some of the contestants on game shows today are just a pathetic as this lot
LEIGH was The Strongest Link for getting the only Correct Answer, ANDREA was The Weakest Link as she was the only one out of the other three to lose Money in that round!
If weakest link came back again who would host it? But without Anne Robinson?.
It's back in the US on September 29, 2020, hosted by Jane Lynch.
@@spoyledbrattit misses Anne.
I don't understand why people pass, just take a guess. If it's a number, say a number. Passing on the 50/50 questions are the ones that really get me though.
Right
I miss this weakest link because the new 👎👎👎👎
Yay all the people who were the weakest link got voted off was there an episode where all the people who were the strongest link got voted off or none of the people who were the weakest link got voted off
Seriously only 1 correct answer during 1 round?...
Didn’t know Adele was a teacher
Wow, started strong to ending poorly
£1800 certainly wasn't much.
Round 1: 1000 pounds
Every other round: blech
Round 1 1000 pound target reached 6:06
Can I get a thumbs-up for Comrade Xylaphonist
Oh Andy You Upset The Family LOL
Yow ! Is Anne Robinson still alive ?? or has DEATH killed her ??
She is more than likely still alive
Cholesterol does NOT increase risk of heart disease. If anything, it is a symptom of heart disease. When you arteries become damaged or inflamed, cholesterol goes in to heal the damage. But if the cholesterol is oxidized, it can get stuck inside the damage and form plaques. This oxidation is caused primarily by eating too many carbs, not too much fat as we've been told. Nor is cholesterol a waste product; it's one of the most vital chemicals in your body, helping to build the brain, sex hormones, cell membranes, and more. There is no correlation between high cholesterol and heart disease; in fact, about half of all people hospitalized for heart attacks have low or normal cholesterol levels.
Also, the Colorado River in Texas is not the same Colorado River that runs through the Grand Canyon and the Hoover Dam. They are two separate rivers with the same name. I know because I was recently in the Austin area for a family wedding and I remember driving across that river and wondering whether they were the same. I later looked it up and found out they weren't.
HotWax93 high cholesterol does increase the risk of heart diseases.
Very informative, thank you!
@@joyblue4496 No, it doesn't. Numerous studies have proven otherwise. About half of all people hospitalized for heart attacks have low or normal cholesterol. When President Eisenhower had his first attack in 1955, his cholesterol was 165, which today would be considered a "healthy" level.
@@joyblue4496 www.nhs.uk/news/heart-and-lungs/study-says-theres-no-link-between-cholesterol-and-heart-disease/
The guy who was first eliminated was at the University of Huddersfield which confirms my belief that they teach them nothing there
ANA
A contestant complaining about Anne Robinson being "a little bit harsh". The naivety of those figs
Well I have to agree with Keith, ASTRA is a stupid name to call your child, but there again there have been worse
5:21 voice crack
I Know Paul He My Dad's Boss At Work
damn why did Ann hate andy so much...
Is it just me or do all the contestants have an accent?
Everyone has an accent
why money in kitty? Cat not reliable banker
8 people voted Paul
Astra is the worst contestant I’ve ever seen, she must have got 40 wrong answers in a row
Sarcasm?? After 2 rounds, as I watch this, she hasn't missed any.
I wonder does the hosts have any children and if she does do she degrade her children the way she's doing these contestants
She had them removed due to alcoholism, the irony
Ian was seriously daft
Andy was begging to be voted off. He couldn't recall 'attorney', he didn't know 'olive or Yiddish', and while he works in the food industry, he thought oranges are pickled. Astonishingly ignorant. And, Ian never banks. He misses questions more often than he's correct, but he doesn't bank. That's reason to get rid of him. Ian is pathetic. He didn't bank. He had it out for Astra, whom actually faired better than he. And, apparently he doesn't know the difference between women and girls.
IKR?! HTF DID IAN REACH THE LAST THREE?!
This was one of the worst players
Leigh...smart + beautiful. Brits are so soft-spoken compared to us Yanks.
By all means the most ignorant this group of contestants in history!!
This is painful to watch
That is absolutely daft
I would find the program more enjoyable if the presenter was ‘nice’. Her attitude isn’t necessary, but i see the Australian program uses the same style, which i am too ‘nice’ to name or describe.
