1. unless there's playoff games in oakland...
2 how awkward would it be for Manfred if oak wins the series and next year they get their rings, *AND RAISE THE BANNER* in SACRAMENTO 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Brodie, as someone who was at Mullett Arena for the Arizona Coyotes final game a month ago, I can honestly say I never envisioned, considering the circumstances, how much of a "feel good" atmosphere there was in the building. I was expecting a bitter funeral type feel and got quite the opposite. It was very emotional... lots of smiles along with many tears as well. We'll see what we get there in Oakland, but I thought this was worth noting, seeing as the situation was similar. Great stuff as always, Brodie!
sorry about what happened to the coyotes, and thanks for sharing that experience.
I have been on NHL arena tours these last two years and were lucky to also go to Mullet before Yates left town I am sorry for Yates fans but the city also was to blame unlike Oakland where the owner didn’t care! So I will try to fit in last As game then be excited for Celibrini era to begin
Arizona sports fans are great
As a Browns fan, nobody should have to lose their team. This Clevelander stands with A’s fans.
The attendance in Oakland has been bad for a while, the stadium itself is a dump too. And the taxpayers didn’t want to chip in.
Vegas will be a bigger market .
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and predict there will be a "F**k John Fisher" chant.
I’ll make sure of it
Do A's fans curse...?

INNINGS
I was born and raised in New York. Fortunately I have a job starting in San Diego in the beginning of September that will enable me to go to this game. After following Brodie and Casey since the days of the newest Howard Terminal renderings were released, this was not something I could miss. I will be chanting, crying, and laughing will all of y'all.
Go Oakland
I saw the last game the KC Athletics ever played. 10/1/67 at the original Yankee Stadium, attendance was 6,956.
That’s pretty cool actually 🖖😎
Thankfully, Missouri Senator, Stuart Symington (D) fought hard to bring back Major League Baseball to Kansas City & the Royals were born.
The last A's games in Kansas City was a doubleheader against the Chicago White Sox 9/27/67
I’m a Dodgers Fan, and I bought tickets for this final game for memories. Growing up in San Jose my dad and I went to many A’s games over the years. We would tailgate, watch batting practice, go down next to the dugouts to get autographs. Again we were dodgers fans but loved the game. I purchased tickets in the second level in the outfield or left field because one of my greatest memories of watching a baseball game at Oakland was watching Bo Jackson hit a home run over the Budweiser sign that used to hang on the edge of the second deck.
So many great memories have come out of there. I grew up wanting to be like the Bash Brothers and wore my A's hat everyday proudly. Man how have times have changed 😢
I'm just back home from my 3000 mile trip to say goodbye to the Coliseum. I caught all four games of the Texas series, ending it with a true double header sitting in section 119 right behind the Diamond level seats. It was a cathartic 3 days 4 games of baseball. My last game at the Coliseum was in 95 my first was in April of 1968.
yo was right behind you for three of those, also saying goodbye to my true love in baseball
This is heart breaking Brodie. My wife and I just found out we’re having a baby and to know I won’t be able to take my youngest child to the joys of an A’s game like I experienced as a kid or my first born experienced absolutely breaks my heart.
Because 1 greedy man who has failed at everything he’s touched gets to rip a team away. It’s pathetic and the reason id fight anybody over it. Johnny come lately’s just don’t get it, but we A’s loyal do.
Took the words out of my mouth
wow, congratulations on the important thing! sorry about the other thing.
@@brodiebrazil thanks Brodie! Atleast we got the sharks still!!!! Let’s go Celebrini!
See ya at sharks games!
It's a good thing I got my tickets well before the season even started. This is going to be a very historic and emotional game that I definitely want to be a part of.
So sad, this news. I remember watching McGwire, Canseco, Dave Stewart, Eckersley from here in Philly back in the late 1980s; never would’ve thought the A’s would move back then.
Such a great roster
Nobody thought the A's would move in the late 80s with that team The Haas family owned them at the time
As a lifelong Seattle Supersonics/Sonics fan, I feel your pain!
Hope to see you there, Brodie!
I'm sure our shows will be out there
Is there any chance the game can get rescheduled for primetime? I feel like a 50,000+ attended game in Oakland would be a good game to televise nationally
I was at the last Expos home game. What I remember the most was looking around and seeing the stadium "filled" to 30,000+ and wondering what could have been if we all showed up. The problem is, when you are a fan of the team and they keep on telling you every year they won't be back you won't believe it until it happens.
The worst feeling in sports is being a fan of a team and there is no next year
Hope Montreal at least gets a shot at one of the new expansion teams.
@@larrystaley21I always heard
baseball was never going to work in Montreal due to the more French feel of it.
I’ve always also heard the Expos had bad attendance, especially after ‘94. Hell, the lack of playoff success (one appearance and win in 1981) probably didn’t help either.
Felt that way when Qualcomm came down it hurt like a peace of my heart got ripped I can only imagine Oakland
I heard Qualcomm Stadium was in bad shape though, and didn’t the Chargers leave due to not finding the funding for a new stadium?
I’m gonna be at that game with my dad. He grew up going to games there when he was a kid. He took me there a few times growing up. Now I’m 20 and we’ll get to share this experience together
STAY IN OAKLAND!!!
FOR NOW!!!
As a Yankees fan lived in New York, then Tampa, Florida. Enjoyed the Rays, and support them staying in the Tampa Bay Area and advocating it, that's how I found your channel. This year's I'll be getting A's gear and supporting the OAKLAND A's and will chant Sell the Team from Greenville, South Carolina, where I currently live, and will get some gear involving this. I wish I can go to the last game, but I'm not equipped to do that. When it comes to the last game with tickets, if these morons in ownership are smart, they will open all seats for this teams last game, including Mount Davis. Fans chanting "Sell the Team!", it will be historic in a sense that the fans voices will be heard and I have faith that it's not over, this Vegas thing I have no faith that will break ground. I'll support the Oakland A's for this year. After that, Sacramento and Vegas, consider me not caring. I'll support the Summer of Sell all the way from Greenville!
The more I think about it, having been a dozen games in the last two seasons, and probably will go to close to 40 more this season, I worry about this last game. Remember, fans trashed the field and jumped the rails at the Reverse Boycott game last year. Fans trashed the field and jumped the rail at the last Raiders game. In the last game in Montreal Olympic Stadium for the Expos, the fans got out of hand and the umpires threatened to cancel the game. I'm not sure Oakland is going to be more polite than Montreal. I'm hoping everything goes great and people just come to chill. But I'm worried something other than that will happen because I have tickets and really don't want to have to figure out how to escape from a war zone.
I think it will be a very emotional scene with a lot of fans crying, though some will be angry. The only good thing about this is that at least the fans will have the chance to say goodbye at the end unlike what happened with the Sonics back in 2008 where the team left after the season ended in a rushed & sudden announcement. It bothers me a lot to this day that I couldn't go to what was the last Sonics home game at Key Arena (now Climate Pledge Arena) because I had to work on a school project & didn't get the chance to say goodbye. Lastly I really hope the players on the A's know the significance behind this last game & give it everything they have in front of what will likely be a sell out crowd.
As a Giants fan, I bought tix for me and my family to be at this game... As sad as it will be, it will be a historic event in sports... So I will be there...
I'm taking my kids and I just hope people don't get destructive or violent. I start crying every time I think about leaving for the last time. Much love to everyone feeling this loss 💚💛💚
People are purposing that maybe Sacramento will retain them long term if Vegas can’t get funding and Fisher just sells to the Kings owner. I could 100% see this happening. That would be a travesty to the East Bay as a whole. Then this was all practically for absolutely nothing. If Sacramento is a 2 team sport city, than it’s an actual crime if Oakland doesn’t have a team in any sport. This will be such a devastating day but the story is far from being over. Hopefully it ends with an expansion team and the A’s branding staying in the city of Oakland.
Yes...its going to be a tear jerker for many . Last I heard-there were like only 700 seats available for that day. I'll be at my post across from the Captain Morgan booth at 141. I know baseball is a business but that doesn't help matters . All the great memories I have at the Coliseum can't undo the reality of this whole $#@! fiasco. I know baseball will never be the same...
That last game in Seattle wearing the Oakland jerseys. They better let the players keep those uniforms
Went to yanks game in nyc same year, both times with my daughters, senior tix $5 third deck behind home plate.says it all
I'm already tearing up thinking about the last home game for the A's at the Coliseum. Have been going my entire life to the Coliseum. I think it will be a mixture of emotions, but I think we are going to make sure we give John Fisher the biggest F*ck You. There will be a lot of tears and a lot of crying. Oakland is a not only a Baseball town, but it's 100% for sure a Baseball City. Despite what John Fisher has put us through, people still wear A's gear. I just hope like John Fisher's other "business ventures," he screws up yet again. He's a failure of a "business" man who inherited his wealth through his Parents (who founded the Gap clothing company).
Isn’t the colosseum in bad shape though ?
I’ve heard some people calling it not only very outdated but even a dump. Not to mention it’s apparently had tons of maintenance problems.
Ceremonial first pitch: Rollie Fingers.
I was in mtl for the last game , it was so sad , 😢i still miss them
Why was their attendance so bad at their last game?
I always heard the Expos never had good attendance (many blamed the bad stadium and how the overall French feel of Montreal didn’t appeal to baseball) but man, you’d at least think everyone would’ve come out for the last one knowing they wouldn’t have a team again.
I'll be attending the A's final game as the Oakland Athletics in Seattle.
Brodie I have tickets purchased and hope to see you there.
I’m not a is a Oakland A’s fan but I might have to see the final game on TV
I appreciate what you have said over the years about the A's. Manfred said it all. He thinks that new stadiums should be publicly financed. Fisher wants the public to pay and the taxpayer doesn't want to pay. That's true in Tempe (Coyotes), Kansas City, San Francisco (with Candlestick pre 2000). Fisher is now looking for investors to pay for Las Vegas stadium. He might have to sell to the owner of the Kings or Warriors if Clark county taxpayers don't finish the stadium funding. This is a business and tickets to games are expensive. Property taxes are high. Going to a funeral and grieving for a loved one is a lot more painful than watching the last game of the season in Oakland. Giving Howard Terminal to MLB is always an option. A politician in Oakland, Las Vegas, Phoenix, or Kansas City commits political suicide by voting to build a new stadium without a vote of the taxpayer.
My last game will be 6/7/24
Brodie, I've noticed that Stew has been remote for pre game shows. Is that a personal reason or just Stew being a busy guy?
all I can say is that it's not a personal complication (fortunately!). he's doing just fine.
This could of been avoided 100% no reason why a's should leave oakland
The owner and city leaders are all at fault but they still get paid and the fans get screwed over.
It’s going to be a sad day in Oakland ca
What if the last game is a playoff game ??? The athletics are a decent team
I doubt they will sustain it.
We will have the same feeling in Kansas City in 7 years.
It will take 24 out of 30 owners to approve the Royals leaving Kansas City why doesn't anyone realize that when it comes to moves in MLB
@@michaelleroy9281 the owner already said they aren't staying in Kaufman.
Bought my tickets right away when they made that announcement about moving to SAC
I’ll be there and it’ll be my last baseball game. No, I won’t burn my Jersey. I’ll fold my jersey nicely, leave my glove and cap on top . I’ll leave it on my favorite seat and say my farewell
I couldn't even make it to the end of this clip....too painful
It sucks what has happened to the Oakland A's They got screwed
I think Oakland should work hard to get an expansion team right now, using someone like Lacomb or similar as the owner. Leverage the EIR and get Howard Terminal built. Then hopefully when Vegas falls thru and Sacramento can’t hold up, sell the team and drop them in to HT. That’s my dream at this point. But it takes strategy.
The problem with the Montreal Expos was that ownership did things backwards. Instead of keeping the 1994 team together and then, after winning pennants and maybe more, they would have gotten a new stadium, they did it the other way around. They destroyed their team in 3 days in 1995, trading away or letting go of fantastic players (Larry Walker, Marquis Grissom, Ken Hill, John Wettland) they would never see again, and then tried, with a lousy team, to get a new stadium. People would still go to Olympic Stadium if the team was good. I remember going there on weekdays in 1993 and 1994 and there being 35,000 people easily, and 50,000 people on weekends.
I feel sorry for the fans of the A's in Oakland. My guess is that they'll either follow another team or just stop caring about baseball. That's what I've done. I used to follow the Expos all the time. Now, I halfheartedly follow the Blue Jays, but I don't really care what happens in baseball.
It's kind of good in a way. There are so many more important things in life than following a sports team. I think professional sports is there just to distract people from real life problems they have. It's made for kids. It's also there for rich people in corporations to schmooze each other into making business deals in skyboxes. Having said that, if Montreal ever got a baseball team again, I'd probably follow them a bit. I just won't be a fan like I was before. When they take away something that a person cares about, it's never the same again. I care more about social justice issues than baseball. My day is not ruined if the Blue Jays don't win. I just don't care the way I used to.
It wasn't a sure thing Montreal would have won all these World Series in a row if they kept all these players at the time there were 28 teams competing for that trophy 🏆 there was things in Quebec politically against new facilities in sports a new arena for the Quebec Nordiques was turned down around the same time they left town
@@michaelleroy9281 I'll admit that it wasn't a sure thing, but they had such a powerhouse of a team in 1994 that I think they would have done well. Can you imagine Larry Walker and Vlad Guerrero playing the same position? Even the choice between Mike Lansing and Jose Vidro would have been awesome. What about Wil Cordero and Mark Grudzielanek? Montreal was the top development team in the league. They has a 74-40 record in 1994 and a 94-68 record in 1993. I don't see why they couldn't do the same thing in the coming years. Felipe Alou was a genius.
@@robinchase2141Hold up.
I always heard the Expos never had that good of attendance, especially after 1994. Many have said Montreal being more French, Olympic Stadium being a bad place, and the lack of playoff success didn’t help either.
The fans are gonna destroy the stadium a la Cleveland Municipal when the Brown left in 1995.
Chris Hardwick is your doppelgänger. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. 😂
I got my tickets last month. The last nickle that POS Fisher will get from me. I've been going to games since 1971, close to 1000 games, all six world series, tons of playoff games and the all-star game in 1987. This move is eating me up. I'm done with MLB. I may become a Salt Lake fan if they get an expansion team. I briefly lived there in the mid 80s.
The last Expos game back in 2004 was on a Wednesday night infront of 30k sad fans at the Big O. Sadly that's not their final game as they had a 3 game series on the road.
3 games on the road against the Mets the same team they started against in their first game in 1969
@@michaelleroy9281Full circle at least
Will they even open up parking before 10:30am for tailgating? I hope so. I also hope they open stadium gates more than an hour before first pitch for a change.
I bought seats in row 3, sec 220 for $36 each. I checked a couple secondary ticket sellers and tickets for row 2 are going for $207 each.
If the market gets hotter as the game gets closer, I'm just saying... that profit might be too good to refuse.
Kaval jacked up prices for the last game
I’m sitting in the first deck bought my tickets awhile ago
I wonder if there is a strong enough demand for the final game if opening up Mount David is a possibility?
Hopefully San Jose gets a expansion team
What is insane is its almost sold out already
World Series Game 7@home. Every pitch cheered, every close call , blue gets booed. I want to be impressed, not disappointed by negativity. World has enough of that.
i don't see a full oakland coliseum for the final game. a lot of the seats are broken. LOL FMD
Let’s be real here, they’re moving to Sacramento permanently, so it’s awful and will be terrible that I won’t be able to make the 30 minute drive across the bridge but I’ll at least be able to go to weekend games
I thought the stadium in Sacramento is only for the next few years until 2028 when the one in Vegas opens?
I heard the Vegas deal was final.
One last trip to the troughs in the men's room on the way out of the stadium. Emblematic of what ownership has done too the fans... pissed all over them. Its ridiculous what MLB has allowed to happen.
I plan on going. I worked st the Coliseum 10 seasons and want to send off the Coliseum and say good bye to old friends that work there
Didn't the Raiders get booed off the field at the end of their last game in Oakland when they blew a late lead...? Was the booing because they lost the game, or because the fans wanted to show their disappointment that the team was leaving for Vegas...? Hard to see A's fans booing the team off the field win or lose as it's not the players' fault the team is relocating.
Lots of trash being thrown
Raiders II in Oakland were terrible. Losing the last game was fitting
Whatever time the lot opens, guarantee the price will be $100 with no price signs.last time i went was dad day against yanks.$50 to park no price signs.went to get senior tix, nope, dont have that option.arguing about teams with guy behind me,all i said repeatedly was "27" he still never got it
I'm going to the 3rd to last game. Going to say goodbye seeing the Yankees one more time.
They should open mt Davis
Shame on the A’s for price gouging the last game. I had a feeling they were going to do this. Glad I bought tix as soon as they announced the move.
Me too. I paid the regular, “uninflated” price.
Plot twist... They make the playoffs! 🤯
What are they going to do with the stadium after the A's leave.
Too early to tell. There is the local soccer team that wants to use it and a female team. There are still outside concerts in the summer and a minor league team was interested in renting it out so there is still people who want to use it....
It might be gone sometime before 2030
I heard it will get converted to other usages ?
I didn't wanna go but friends are forcing me..... day game vs my favorite team texas rangers
Yeah it’s a bit premature to start this conversation.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the stadium was empty. I don’t think it will be but the vitriol is real.
Ticket sales already show it’s packed. It’s like the fans were never really the problem. I wonder who it could have been.
No it will sell out for sure.
Come on a boycott on September 26? No not for the last game
Vote for better leadership and stop letting your city fall apart. Let’s start there. Only the people of Oakland are to blame.

what if we win and in
Win lmao
Cookies: Head of John Fisher.
What if the last game turns out to be a playoff game?
no
@@brodiebrazilits possible
The A's have been respectable this year, can they maintain it through a long hot summer 🏝️🌞?
As a Giants fan I really empathize with with A’s fans. It is definitely disappointing. I want John Fisher to fail and I hope he dose.
Thank you John fisher you ruined baseball for everyone you should be ashamed
I’m sad but I just know everyone is gonna throw trash on the field smh 🤦🏾♂️ I wish there was a way to keep them here
Surely this isn’t the last game they play there! A’s are going to be in the post season for sure haha
I dont see it being full at all. Unless its setup through one of the protest organizers. And again i hate saying it but people shoulda went regardless and supported the team the love. Why have it get to this point. Had it been selling well it may of gone different. But thats fue to bad management
Very sad...😢
I am far more pessimistic than you are, Brodie. I think there will be people angry enough to trash the place. Garbage on the field. Fights in the concourses. I think the end will be ugly. I sincerely hope the ticket payers will be considerate enough to allow the players to get off the field before the pandemonium breaks out.
It is my sincerest hope that I am completely wrong.
This is exactly what I was thinking. I don’t think this game will end up being finished and I envision that there will be a ton of fans on the actual field of play at some point during the day. This fells more like one last “f you” back to John Fisher. Hopefully it is more of a celebratory vibe like “this is our city and our team, not yours” but pandemonium will probably break out.
1) Will Fisher attend the game? 2) If so, will he be introduced over the PA system? Question 1: Probably. Question 2: No.
Why would Fisher attend? Do you see him at the games now?
@@HHSGDFootballJPD No, but only because he's hiding under the tarps on Mount Davis.
With good owners, stadiums would’ve been built for A’s and Raiders! This is happening because of weak owners who don’t want to get anything done and aren’t smart enough to
The attendance has been very bad in Oakland though, how would a new stadium solve that problem?
I suppose they think Vegas will be a bigger market ?

Let's sell out this game, apparently the final reverse boycott....
Baseball will never return to the Coliseum
Kinda trendy. Leave Oakland 😮 next they will leave frisco. 😮oh wait some did. 59 miles away
I've been an A's fan since 1968. Spent untold thousands watching them. Now you couldn't get me to give that greedy lizard, Fisher, one red cent. Haven't attended a game since '22. I'm done! When this season is over, I'll throw all my A's gear away. As a matter of fact, F*CK MLB. I will celebrate Fisher leaving California. Just get out!!!
My guess is they won't have to worry about demolition because the A's fans will burn it to the ground.
A cement coliseum stadium….. yeah you’re on that Vegas education lol.

Geez I see what oakland is saying, and trust me, youre not missing out at all. Fisher is a terrible business man. He's ranked worse than Dan Snyder. Dan motherfreakin Snyder. And his track record doesn't lie. Best bet, hope for relocation or expansion. Just nor at this dump.
Oakland had nearly 50 years to solve their stadium/stadiums issues. Baltimore lost the Colts in 1984 and nearly lost the Orioles because of an outdated horrible stadium.
Nobody goes to WNBA games!
A's are a disgrace, have been since Mr Mack died. Charlie Finley responsible for Night World Series Games. A treasonous and traitorous affront to the purity of Baseball. Dump the Chumps, ship the roster to the Bx.
With the success of Monday Night Football, nationally televised sporting events were going to go to nights anyways. If Finley wasn't going to do it, some network executive would've...
