- Just happened to me for the first time after having the car for a year and a half, thankfully I was able to research and fix it through the radio settings button.

GOD BLESS YOU!!!!! The exact same thing happened to my daughter. Everything was in English and then the next time she went to start her car everything was in Italian and, the button to change languages disappeared! Just like you! When I followed your directions and accessed the language option on the radio, first I had to switch from English to a different language. I chose French. Then I went back to English and sure enough, the entire display up front was all in English! We have been to at least two Jeep dealerships with this problem and none of them knew how to solve it. She has been living with an Italian display for a year! Ironically, I am also an Italian from New York (your accent gave it away) and I also don't speak it (except for a few choice words). Thanks for posting this!

Omg!!!! Thank you soo much I tried that and it didn’t work The first time I tried it again restarted the car and it worked!! You just save me time and 159$ at Jeep for a update they told me I needed to fix the language!

Thank you! I've had my Renegade two years and this just happened yesterday. Although, we changed the language setting from the radio and now only some things are in English and some things are still in Italian. Very frustrating. We're going to try restarting and see if that helps...

I work for a car loaning company and you saved me lots of headache with a customer. Jeeps are so dumb. I was trying to figure this out on a 2018 Compass. You have to go to "Apps" on the radio to find the "Settings" 😒😑😣

Because the radio display read like it was already on English, I had to switch it to Spanish or French (funny that there's no Italian option) and then go back to English. And of course reset all my other settings. Whew!

It is now really easy for me. I am very used to it. I love being at night, reading inside my Jeep while raining outside. I mounted a special foundation for the bed, and it is really awesome. SO thank you for being so cool, and humble. Keep inspiring brother!

Yes,, that is what I had to do too.......
Mine won’t let me select anything. Nothing is highlighting, all options are completely unresponsive. I can scroll through and see all the different settings, I just can’t select anything.
Is there a way to fix it for good? Mine goes back to Italian every time I turn the car off?!
Not that I am aware Melissa, it only happened to me a couple times
I had to actually press the other language options then go to English because it wasn’t activating the English, initially.

Damn, this didn't work for me quite the same way... I had it still showing as English and had to change it Spanish and THEN back to English.
So, if you run into this problem too, now you know.

Happened today and even after changing on the radio AND restarting, it won’t go back
The e-brake also automatically applies when I put it in park too
It’s less than 2 months old. I’m not impressed
Hey Shan, there is a setting that you can adjust using your Radio that will remove the auto park brake feature, try to play with it again using your radio.. I know its frustrating but I went through a similar experience and eventually it all went back to normal after adjusting the setting through the radio
I had to manually change all of my displays in the radio and the speed still won’t show as a digital display like I had it. I did find the ebrake finally this morning.
This is a horrible design flaw and I really wish I’d done more research on this vehicle before buying it
