Paradox: "Victoria 3 is not a war game."
Also Paradox: Makes an achievement where you conquer your way into making Mexico one of the largest countries on Earth.
Lets not forget that finland achievement where u have to build yourself up until u produce tanks, while russia is can make u a puppet or just annex u every minute.
That chance to get turned into a puppet just happens to increase the better Finlands economie is... They should rename the achievement into "Fin"
In real life the confederacy declered independence before slavary was illegal in America. The 13. amendment was passed on January 31, 1865.
you learn something new every day
But the Confederate also succeeded, because they thought Lincoln was gonna take their slaves cause he was a Republican
@@andysloth3984 But he didnt until after the war.
Slavery is still pretty real in the US and many other places. It might be illegal in the US but ironically the justice system provides a huge loophole.
@@Chiungalla79 abolish prison
Imagine breaking the game the same day it gets released
Honestly this is just usual. The day it’s released heaps more people jump in and try and start breaking things.
😉😎
So you actually made a 'gold bonanza', bring back the Mexican Empire and Santa Anna accomplish his dream of becoming the "Napoleon of the West"?
I can't wait for the next video.
I played like 5 nations so far. I bankrupted only 4 of them, I'm pretty good
Well the one nation that didn't get bankrupt is Ottoman but I do made them The Dead Man of Europe so..
Common Angga Ihza W
What was the fifth one
Vic 3 has a shit ton of potential, graphically is fantastic, the UI is fine and the economy is well managed
Hope to see a military update sooner or later
I think you mean: "military DLC" for 30$
I really hope they dont make a dlc out of something so basic
@@ellidominusser1138 they will. they did it for eu4 with art of war
@@ellidominusser1138 what can you expect from paradox? They straight up tell you to consider piracy as an option
it’s incredible, should easily become my favorite paradox game. the fundamentals are so strong just needs some polish and the usual additional fleshing out paradox does
"Now the economy looks like it's in rough shape, but I assure you in reality it's much worse." xD
It's too bad that Victoria 3 is so new and that I don't have hundreds of hours of experience, because things end up very obtuse when you can't really tell why things are happening or how a situation post jump-cut came about.
All this being said, I would not say no to more Vicky content.
play victoria 2 because its better in basically every way
@@comradeivan9326 yeah, better in every such as 1mil rebels popping up every month or 1920s warfare.
@@comradeivan9326 no it isn’t, the economy in Victoria 2 is so much worse as it domestic politics. Base game Victoria 2 is worse than Victoria 3 but gfm and hpm can be more fun purely because of the flavor.
@@comradeivan9326
I can not meaningfully agree or disagree with you, as I've played no Victoria game. However, the main point of my comment was that not having first- or second-hand experience with Victoria 3 makes it hard to follow a video about Victoria 3.
@@comradeivan9326 right now I agree with you
Thank you for this video, a great guide on how to develop a country from a low development stand.
Here's a cool trick for everyone reading. You can keep your standing army downgraded to irregular infantry and artillery to no artillery while not at war it'll give you some money for cutting costs and you can export arms. When war is coming, which you always have a bit of time to react to, you can put everything back and your army will be back to peak.
After all, it's not a war game
One downside that can sometimes be relevant is this will lower your prestige during peacetime.
My impressions of Victoria 3 so far:
Number go up= good.
Making stuff = good.
Prussia = fail.
Font size bigger = good.
Seems like that’s it so far.
The reason minting doesn't produce inflation is because its a standardized unit of pure gold and your contribution to the global pool is relatively small. There is a reason why gold is considered a safe haven. It's very hard to effect the value by producing more. Deficit spending is more likely to cause inflation and maybe it does if you are consuming more than you are able to produce plus import because of the increased spending.
They really need to rework infamy. The decay is seriously too slow, and I dont see any method of decreasing it without waiting 20 years. Worse in a case like mine where my leader had the Bandit trait, making it decay even slower, and is currently still kicking in the 20th century at age 96. It has to be a bug that leaders and generals dont die more often.
Considering how some countries hold on to historical grudges in religion, political or culturally, I would say maybe infamy is kinda ok?
@@smoadia85 Then infamy needs to be tied to individual nations, not the world as a whole. For example I don't think Russia gives a damn that the US invaded Mexico in 1847.
you lose infamy when you lose land in a war
TIL: theres events that happen if you have obligations from other nations, one of them reduces infamy.
I’m very tempted to find the Infamy modifiers in the game files and edit them myself.
No infamy, No problems!😎
Decided to wait 6 months to a year to buy the game, but still enjoying watching it.
This was a great video!
Absolutely epic
this game is incredible, so much fun. cant wait to see what they do with it
A.I. Prussia seems to be incredibly aggressive about forming the NGF. This makes them choose the military option way too often, breaking their customs union and blocking the peaceful path completely, which puts them in a death spiral.
It funnily enough forms more frequently in Learn the Game due to the lower aggressiveness
Won't mind seeing a Quarbit Gaming Factorio video, but more Vicky is welcome
Great video format, I liked and subbed ofc. Thank you for putting in the effort to make it actually good content unlike some big creators who just hop on a new game band wagon with lazy TV commercial level of entertainment.
Hmm yes lore of Victoria 3 pax Mexicano momentum 100
Yeah the Mexican empire with an emperor or an empress as the leader good choice there, can't go wrong.
how do u consume gold from gold field or mine?
16:30 kinda Brexit moment "We will leave Russian Market and end Customs Union... Damn, I didn't realised how much i depend on that trade!"
Oh man this is just gonna be another LE EPIC MEME game from paradox isn't it? Fantastic……..
I hope youre not using irony. It got really boring that Grand Strategy series went into "funny, meme stuff" in nutshell with Hoi4 and CK3 and now Vicky3. I want historic entertaining, not some random shit to laugh at without any value. Paradoxian market targeting went so downhill with that casual-everything for easy-dopamine-rush. Ech :(
@@xRozmarzony The only thing even slightly casual about Vicky3 is the warfare. The economics and government building aspects are complex asf though.
@@xRozmarzony I hate the meme shit in newer paradox games. HOI went from a serious war simulator to another map painting game with absolutely retarded and gamey mission trees and mechanics
@@Prodigi50 If you think vicky3 is complex you aren't autistic enough to be playing mapgames. - Me, an autist.
@@xRozmarzony What's meme-y about CK 3?
So lucky with the confederacy spawn
the flag changed because you managed to rebuild the first mexican empire that central america had great video
If you were to listen to some people, the civil war in this scenario makes sense, as apparently the orignial civil war had nothing to do with slavery, it was "economics, culture, and geography" 🤤
I though eu4 is complicated, and then i see this
ngl idk about playing it but i really enjoy watching it . Idk maybe its cuz i used to play evil banker a lot as a kid ,but i enjoy this gameplay ,i think this game is being hated on too much
Some if im getting the gist, paradox just took the planet micromanagement of stellaris, made it even more micromanagy and threw it into the ck3 engine made some tweaks and called it a day?
Clicked on this without reading thinking it was a spiffing brit exploit vid 🤣
This was a beautiful Mexican expansion.
the expansion has only just begun
great video
I’ve never played Victoria 2 but I play a lot of EU4 would anyone recommend me getting Vic 3?
Absolutely
its personal preference to an extent but Vic 3 itches all my irks about eu4. tbh I didnt realize eu4 was not the game for me
I have 3k hours in EU4 and i played Vic 3 the whole day. To be honest, im not enjoying it at all. Too many micro management for everything, it gets tedious and kinda bored at some point, perhaps i enjoy it when i learn more but rn its not the case.
In 2 years yes
Just get vic 2 with dlcs and Wait until vic3 gets like 2dlcs and maybe Wait for a sale
I wouldn't get it at the moment. Give it some time. Tutorials, bugfixes, etc.
Yo we should try this in real life
My first play was Russia. I mean it still is, but at 1860, I'm at 250mil GDP, +300k a week and i started to run out of population to employ.
I think it's time to knock knock at China's door.
i still dont get workers for mines, it says cualifiqation not enought always, i have public schools too early
Yay
No armies ?
The CSA never spawns in my game and it's so tragic, the US always just remains strong af by keeping slavery
Hey I played a spain game yesterday, and enacted some institutions. Despite what the tool tip said, my bureaucracy then EXPLODED and went to -100k. This has to be a bug, right? Or are the tooltips that wrong???
Because if this is accurate, you simply can't do anything about bureaucracy and can't enact any bonuses on colonization, education etc...
Also something went horrible wrong with my education going into MINUS and my pop showing -1 billion after annexing some countries in central America?!
play as oranje in south africa, i got 100k cash per week from minting gold alone
Okay, now do an EU4 game where 2/3 of your economy is gold-based and see how things go.
Second time I’ve seen the CSA spawn and New Hampshire and Maine are like “Yeah, no.”
It's almost as if Noobert and Spiffing brit had a child...
Inflation time
We kept saying Victoria 3 when?
And eventually they just did the fuckin thing.
Poor bastards, now we know it works.
If your money value, and everyone else's is based on the gold standard, I guess you can't really have monetary inflation. Actually realistic !
The AI and warfare in this game is utter nonsense. Like, for some reason PDX seems to be leaning into this memey/wacky gameplay. Which sucks because it loses it’s charm after like a week and just becomes something that needs to be patched ASAP for me, but it gets left in so we can see the millionth wacky screenshot on Reddit.
@UCrcKlozjFABq9xXBn9UKgGA Scammer ^^^^
Is there anyway to win a war as the smaller participant? most of the fun of paradox games is using your knowledge of the game to do crazy shit, like reforming the Mughals would be kinda interesting but is it even possible? If it is possible is It fun? I understand the focus of the game is on economy but from what i've seen its not that interesting and is it economy just for economy's sake? I'll see if the game gets better in a year or 2 maybe get some mods who knows. Its just very hard to justify buying a paradox game on release or even full price let alone both. Rant over.
Watch the Mormons gameplay from other youtuber
The only way I know how since I’ve seen it happen between two bigger countries is, you have to find the resources they use for their military and cut it off somehow, that way they have to go back to lower tech army, then with your higher tech army go in and kill. All the ways to bleed their resources idk yet but all I’ve seen is pulling their people into your market
Watch AlzaboHD and his Mormon playthrough.
Economy just for economy’s sake is how it works in real life too, to be fair
Sometimes, but this is Vicky not eu4. Ur not supposed to world conquest as Liechtenstein.
is it just me or does he sound like Ron Swanson
pls send pesos so i can buy my way out of his basement
Anyone else thought this was a spiffing brit vid?
You should check out medieval art. It's full of 40-year-old babies.
Inflation📈
Breaking worlds economy with Gold from the New world? I believe that some "other" spanish speaking People did that in the past
if you ever stop building you'll go out of business where did I hear this before from a government.
Chinese ah economy
Just like the suburbs
🥔
You make very entertaining videos Quarbit, but not even you can make watching this game interesting.
sadge
Not everyone’s cup of tea or coffee lol
🤨🤨🤨🤨 do you have any kind of mental problems ??
pog
Paradox should be paying you to not play their games.
Vic3 is trash rn. Thanks for mocking it and making a fun video.
As a Mexican I truly believe we could had still kept some territories and do better in the Mexican American war you see Mexico mostly held the numerical advantage in most battles but this was a Mexico that had practically no economy and was in a civil war
who also got the game for free?
clickbaiters can go to hell
To long,to boring, title is printing money... so broooo you need 30 min to explain how to legaly cheat ? you could do it in 2 min
I like your content, but the game sucks
It doesn't lol. If u don't like it just don't buy it and don't watch it.
Then watch a different video. Problem solved. See how easy it was?
