Was für eine grandiose Idee, mehrere reacts zusammenzuführen. Dieses Lied hat die Düsternis eines Schubert-, Schumann oder Brahms-Liedes und steht in ihrer Tradition.
Mich erschüttert es im Innersten, weil es Kindheitstraumata wachruft ...
100%iger Zuspruch. Aber in dieser Düsternis, die Till hier repräsentiert steckt auch so viel Schönheit und Traurigkeit.

'Nun liebe Kinder, gebt fein Acht' = Now dear children, pay attention........'Ich bind die Stimme aus dem Kissen' = I am the voice from the pillow'..........Till portrays the "Sandman", who has the power to deliver children from the monsters in their nightmares OR allow their terror to continue until the 'bright light shines from Heaven' in the morning ( ein heller Schein am Firmament ).....while terrifying, the Sandman actually cares for children, which explains the sadness and tears while he sings......and why his smile is so painful.......'Mein herz brennt' = my heart burns.......

Took German in high school. It's a language that has been described and satirized in various ways. But, when Til speaks and sings it, it is beautiful! This group reaction was fun!

when my kids had to study for german, i made them listen to rammstein, as Till makes a point of sining in as good as accent free standard german. i dare say 85% of my knowledge of the language is thnks to them
Das ist eine sehr interessante Darstellung von einigen Menschen die sich dieses Video angeschaut und darauf reagiert haben.
Wirklich alle waren davon sehr ergriffen. Diese Intensivität wie Till Lindemann im Zusammenspiel mit dem Piano den Song Ausdruck verleiht, ist schon phänomenal.
Dem konnte sich keiner von ihnen entziehen.

@@mazumazureactionsgood sync but tbh the multiple layers took away from the Song. Maybe nullify the Song in the reaction layers by substraction and just have the Center one playing and it'd be near to perfect.

soooo many grrrrrreat Rammstein videos there. I must say I lerned about Rammstein while watching the movie "triple XXX" ..... than forgot for a lot of years. Now rediscovering their music - and every evening watching clips of this band. In the moment my favourite songs are: Zeit, Angst and Radio!!! .... what the fuck - that´s so good!!!

Thank you so much! Yeah that timing is a challenge and some reactors even have slightly asynchronous audio on their videos that somehow has to be dealt with, but I think in the end it‘s really special when all videos are in near perfect sync. 🙂

For everyone from the 90s upwards, Eastern Sandman is the only Sandman. Interesting, though! I didn't know the line was from the Western version.

This a scary story. He use pieces of his body (probably the heart) to frighten kids in the night and then he is feeding on their tears. He is in the pillow and under their beds and comes up from the cellar. This nightmare stoff!

Er ist von Deutschland und du von Österreich. Warum fragt und antwortet ihr denn nicht in unserer Muttersprache. Schließlich handelt es sich hier um Rammstein, einer deutschen Band die dann auch noch Deutsch singt.
Google übersetzt das heutzutage schon ganz gut in andere Sprachen.
Wir deutschsprachigen wollen es immer allen recht machen. Komischerweise schreiben viele andere hier einfach in ihrer Muttersprache. 🤔😉👍

The pool in thevideo is same as in a feligious sect,where they baptize you children (12y) into adulhood and socialize. So i think that song and video tell abouth the pain of those children. I was maintenanceman myself and i stopped working When i heard abouth it.

The Sandman has nothing to do with the TV show! This is a mythological figure! It is over 2000 years old and was probably told by the Indo-Europeans 4000 B.C. The legend exists in all European religions before Christianity. In this case also in the Germanic. The Dead and the Sandman (Sleepbringer) are siblings.
