- My winning race run from the 2024 Sea Otter Classic downhill run for the Intermediate 30-34 class. The announcer at the finish seemed to be off a couple second for everyone, with my official time being 2:13.34. I raced the Enduro race as well, which ran the DH course as stage 1, with a time of 2:17.17. My goal was to bring that time down by focusing on the lower section that I was never really able to get right. Looks like filming the pros during their practice paid off!

Ripping down that hill! I was the original designer of that Downhill course. Built from scratch and it is great to watch this video, brings back memories of crawling through bushes scoping out a route. So many memories of how I kept trying to expand the length and go where no one imagined to go, when all that was there was just tall grass and dense brush. So many awesome people helped me along the way in those early years of the Sea Otter DH. Great to see your winning run on a course I created from a hill behind the shooting range! congratulations!!
Thank you for all that hard work as it shows. Its hard to design a course in an area that is relatively flat with mostly sand. The result is something that keeps me wanting more!
I would love to rip down that hill oh my goodness that looked so fast and so fun!
Wow super fast! My brain thinks I could also go that fast from watching this but I know I'd be way slower lol. You were flat out man, congrats! I should do this next year, even if I could just place not last it'd be fun.
Its a super fun course to start on, challenging enough but wont kill you with a mistake.
Sick. Congrats dude.
Thanks! It was an amazing feeling crossing the line and hearing the time, which honestly shocked me
🤟
well done. facepalm to anyone who says you don't need stamina for DH. try sprinting for 2+mins straight and let me know how that goes, haha.
avg speed, top speed?
Max speed 43.8, Avg 25.7 but that seems to include some of the wait at the start. According to strava
I feel like I was a few thousandths faster...
