      @@OlustGraffiti You're very welcome. I'd love to see a video sometime about your color selection process. (the thing that inspires you to pick a certain fill color (it's almost like a comic book style.. like Top Cow comics from the early 00s, with the saturation turned up to 11) - which shades you pick (how far apart are they) - what makes you decide on a complementary / contrasting color for the outlines)
      I'm always interested in thought processes (kind of a loner that way, though... pretty sure that it wouldn't become your most viewed video. So I'd understand if you just ignore this suggestion/request and keep doing your awesome thing)
      Oh, and I like the blackletter style you did for the Rather Dye logo.
      Without searching for references,
      it reminds me a bit of the Ruff Ryders (DMX) logo, and a bit of the 'chicano' blackletter styles (extra pointy and tall, with some wide swooshes in there) that are used in tattoos a lot

      I think it sounds like a good idea, I've thought about making a video on "how to choose colors" including my ideas around contrast and how to make other colors pop and how to make the pieces more dynamic color wise. I've already made a note on your idea and I will think of a way to make a video out of it.

    Can explain what caps are how do you do such clean outlines, do you eyeball the paint while making a line or just do it naturally? When pressing the cap are doing it in specific way so that the paint does not come out to fast ? I'm surprised that you don't have any drips with this speed, so you must be doing something else right?

    • @OlustGraffiti
      @OlustGraffiti  Před 5 měsíci

      First of all, thank you for reaching out.
      For this video I used a new york fat cap and pressed it all the way down. The trick is to have enough speed so the paint doesn't have time to drip. Also, you'll have to keep the right distance and not hold it too close to the wall, or else it could drip.
      For me all this comes naturally after a lot of practice. I didn't practice the technique consciously, it just came along with doing what I love. It's the same with everything we do, plant the seed, have patience and watch it grow. The more you do something, the easier it gets.
      Have a good day.

    • @Romahotmetytky
      @Romahotmetytky Před 5 měsíci

      Hi, thanks a lot for reply, I am sure you are aware of all those techniques where you have to keep the tip of you finger at the edge of the cap to slow down the paint, is this not used anymore have used that technique in the past ? Or it only applies for specific caps ? Also are able to achieve same result with other caps ? Why you use NY cap specifically?

    • @OlustGraffiti
      @OlustGraffiti  Před 5 měsíci +1

      @@Romahotmetytky It's different from person to person. Some use that technique, but I don't. I choose different caps for different outcomes. I choose ny fat for this one because it's easy and clean. If I want to flare the outlines I use a medium or fat cap.

    • @Romahotmetytky
      @Romahotmetytky Před 5 měsíci

      @@OlustGraffitiso you would not be able to achieve same result in this piece with different cap by using it exactly same way as NY and same speed ?

      Yeah maybe, I don't remember what color names I used for this one.
      Do it! I actually think it's easier to "build" the outlines to make them solid and clean because it's possible to adjust and so om. With a single outline the mistakes are harder to adjust. And the fat solid outlines are much better looking imo 😉

    • @OlustGraffiti
      @OlustGraffiti  Před 2 lety +1

      The tip is to do your outlines in layers and bild them up instead of just a single outline. I know it's a very simple way of explaining. Maybe you can try it out? Make double lines instead of just one. There will be a huge difference 👍
      And of course you'll have to practice your techniques. Because there isn't one video in the whole world that can make your hands move in a different way, only you 🙏
