you can say what you want, as to who is best and what not. As for me, she speaks to my heart, and moves me to be more than I have been, I sang this song at a local club and did not think the people would ever stop clapping and cheering, thanks Kathy and friends.

Kathy brings so much to whatever she does. I love her humility. Her willingness to sublimate her talent to others up front.
Nice to see her with a solo on the Sessions.

Whoever got these people all together, THANK YOU!
I wish this could be an annual event. Gathering up the best musicians in the world, to make recordings that people will be listening to a century from now.

My first real boyfriend put the original version of this song on a mix cassette for me 30 years ago, so it holds special memories for me. I love the Celtic treatment given here...what a fresh version of a wonderful old song!

One of the things I love about The Beatles is that they sounded different in every song and didn't try to show off, but really tried to convey the feeling of the song in their voice. Whereas singers these days just belt everything out with as much vibrato and power as they can. This is a good cover but I prefer Paul's simplicity, that's sort of what the song was meant to be, just the simplest song he could come up with that's also beautiful.

Good news for all fans is the release of the DVD "Transatlantic Sessions: Series 3" bringing together the best of Nashville, Ireland and Scotland to perform what has been called "the greatest backporch shows ever".
All of the six half-hour programmes from the BBC/RTÉ TV series are included, recorded in a beautiful old converted farm steading in the Perthshire Highlands.

That is so true about the Beatles. They had a freedom to just make music. Everything was a hit....no pressure to produce a hit. They just made great songs....and moved on to the next one. Paul kept a grip on that concept....while John became so full of himself....
