    Thank you for these powder recipes. How would I use the Peace Powder mix? In a tea? Please provide some ideas for how to incorporate into every day meals/drinks. I don't eat oatmeal.

      Hi there Diane! Here is our full blog post from Jiling on her Power Powder blends: blog.mountainroseherbs.com/healthy-breakfast-recipes-and-5-superfood-powder-blends. She also incorporated her powder blends into a chia pudding (recipe in that blog as well) but these would be great as teas, mixed into baking projects, simple syrups, etc. I hope that helps! -Gracie

      Hi there! Jiling uses these three recipes as both beverages on their own and also as ingredients in her meal prepping for oatmeal and chia pudding! You can find ideas of how to use the powder blends here: blog.mountainroseherbs.com/healthy-breakfast-recipes-and-5-superfood-powder-blends. I hope that helps!

    Could you recommend replacement for cinnamon? I like cinnamon but have an allergy to it.

    • @mountainroseherbs
      @mountainroseherbs  Před rokem +2

      Hi Tammy! You could either leave the cinnamon out entirely or add in other tasty herbs you like. If you want a more warming feel like the cinnamon I'd suggest trying nutmeg and ginger. Feel free to play around with the recipe to make it your own! - Gracie

    On the Cacao rose Chai How much is the 2 parts compared to the pinch? 1/4 c? 1/2 C? It looks like your "pinch" measurement is about 1/2 Tablespoon...a Big pinch!

    • @mountainroseherbs
      @mountainroseherbs  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Hi there! Jiling says she tends to measure from the heart and just goes with what she is feeling in the moment. It looks like the pinch is no more than one tablespoon. Feel free to go with your gut! The licorice, cardamom, and nutmeg are mostly for sweetness and flavoring and could have more powder included than the black pepper (which is added to make the turmeric more bioavailable). I would say the "2 parts" measurements in this video are closer to 1/2 to 3/4 cups each. I hope that helps to answer your question!

    How much is one part in measurement

    • @mountainroseherbs
      @mountainroseherbs  Před rokem

      Hi there! Measuring in parts is what herbalists like to call the folk method of herbalism. We can use any object to measure each part as long as we are consistent using that same object for each part. When you think about measuring in parts, I find it helpful to picture this analogy: I'm at home cooking rice and I can't find my measuring cup. Instead, I can measure using parts. If my rice recipe says 1 cup rice and 2 cups water this would be equivalent to 1 part rice and 2 parts water because both are being measured in cups. I could use a coffee mug or bowl to measure the parts but I must make sure to use the same coffee mug or bowl for both the water and the rice. You can apply this to Jiling's recipe as well! You could measure everything with a measuring cup or alternatively, you could measure everything with your favorite wooden spoon or bowl. This also allows you to scale up or down recipes to your liking! We have a handy blog that helps to give examples of the folk method here: blog.mountainroseherbs.com/measuring-parts. I hope that helps to answer your question! - Gracie
