VIDEO OVERVIEW:
This is my first time using @CURLSMITH products and they did not come to play. The Multi-tasking Conditioner and Bond Salve got my curls in check and left a great first impression. These products focus on strengthening the hair, length retention, moisture, and hair growth. Watch until the end to get my final thoughts but (spoiler alert) they got my type 4 natural hair all the way together! Let me know if there are any other Curlsmith products you want me to review!
I pre-pooed my hair with the Curlsmith Bond Curl Rehab Salve, washed my hair with my customized products from Formulate, Deep conditioned and then left in the Curlsmith Multi-Tasking Conditioner, and then I styled my hair with the Melanin Haircare Twist Elongating Style Cream. This was definitely an amazing combination!

I use the bond salve as a pre-poo ngl because it has hella slip. Not all the time but yeah my hair gets so tangled because it's already super coily. I have to be careful because it makes my hair coil even more lol.

Thank you for an enjoyable review. Though I have worn my hair natural most of my adult life, I am a novice to twist outs, wash & go and similar natural hairstyles. The few times I attempted to twist or braid my short, soft and fine textured hair (using a Mane Choice line) resulted in a straight, spikey and bodiless fail.🙄 Since I continue to hear excellent reviews about Curl Smith and Melanin hair products, it is definitely time for me to drop the coins. But I must also admit even great products cannot improve upon bad techniques.😏😉
Thanks for watching!! And yes technique is so important! When you used the mane choice what products did you use (you can be specific) and did you twist on wet, damp or dry hair? I think the melanin and curlsmith products would work better for your fine hair since they are a little lighter and buildable but if I understand how you are twisting I may be able to help a bit
@@CurlsofaCPA Hello, thank you for asking. I used the Tropical Moringa, shampoo, conditioner, mask and ended with the Sealing Cream on wet hair. First I tried finger coiling with the Sealing Cream but they kept unraveling so I then did the old style 3 strand braids and twisted each the ends with extra cream (I made sure to spritz my hair to keep it wet throughout this process). When I finally took the braids out my hair was as I described above!
hmm it may be the products. Curlsmith products are alot lighter than most of the mane choice products so i think its a good place to start. I'll also brainstorm some stuff and let you know

I did the same thing after my silk press no heat, cap for 30 mins I used the nozzle from the Camille rose oil bottle to keep the mess at a minimum. I got braids the next day and the girl kept saying how soft my hair was.
Ok cool I wasn’t sure if I was the only one using a cap lol but I’m curious about the rest of the strength line since these made my hair feel so soft 🤗

Yes it’s certified public accountant. It’s a professional license that gives me credentials to do certain things in the accounting field but most importantly sign off on audited financial statements (which is what I do for my job) I may do a video talking about it one day

Just bought seven CurlSmith products that are supposed to strengthen low porosity hair. My hair is extremely brittle. I used the recommended gel for the first time last night with some other CurlSmith products. I am really pleased, but I’d really like to add that curl elongating cream that I was not familiar with. Thank you! I’m wondering if you’re still using any of the CS products. I assume you are not low porosity, but I really couldn’t tell. This video was a little confusing.
Sorry for the confusion. Half of my hair is low and the other half is medium/regular but I cater my routine to the low porosity half. I have a another Curlsmith videos on my channel (I can include the link after this comment) and I really like their strength collection. I just make sure to follow the instructions or else it can make my hair feel dry (which I share in another video). The products I use the most are the bond salve and the 3 in 1 conditioner

I’ve used it on clean hair before (my hair had a bunch of gel in it so I wanted to get that out first) but it’s more convenient to use it before shampooing or going into the shower

Yes, the entire collection smells the same (love the smell ☺️)
How often do you do the bond salve
like every other month but I'm not on a schedule, i typically reach for it when my hair needs some extra TLC (maybe its feeling super brittle, shedding alot, hair not curling like I'm used to)
