  • There are some gaps, as I didn't take photos of every car I've ever owned, but here is a run down of some of the key vehicles I've owned, as well as my super-cooled work experience at Land Rover.
    SPOILER BELOW
Cars include more than one Citroen 2CV, a Ford Fiesta, an Austin Mini City E that we owned for six years, an Austin miniMetro and Maestro - both 1.3. There's a Vanden Plas 1500 of the Allegro shape, an LDV 400 beavertail, a Bedford CF Autosleeper camper, a Citroen H van, a 1990 Honda Civic 1.4GL, a Renault 21 Monaco, Citroen BX in 16v and 1.9 diesel form, a Saab 900, a Bond Equipe GT4S, a Citroen CX 25RI Familiale and a 1955 Austin Westminster A90.
The next part will take us from 2010 to the present day. Hopefully with fewer gaps!

Ah! Maybe I'm normal after all! Everybody I know thinks I'm loopy because I keep a photo catalogue of all the cars I've owned (1966 - 2018). Thanks for another great vid, Ian.

Me too, got a hard drive with individually named folders for all the cars I've owned and the adventures we've been on. Nowhere near as many as Ian (probably still less than a dozen) but all of them were great in their own way and a big part of life at the time. I have 3 cars sitting outside (on a driveway with room for just 1...thanks neighbours for giving up some space) and this video makes me feel pretty normal afterall ;) My car catalogue is '05-18'
I like that Mr. Nut had had many a Citroen in his life. One of my fav manufacturers. I've never owned one myself but both a long time ex girlfriend had an AX we bought together which we took all over the country and never missed a beat. Sister had one as her first car too which she says was her favourite car, her second being the £250 Toyota I bought for her 2 Christmas' ago after a lot of misfortune which has barely needed to be touched to this day. This year we both learned how to service it and do various things on it ourselves thanks to these channels on CZcams and a desire to finally learn some mechanical stuff myself.

Wow, that was such an enjoyable look into Hubnuts life. He has owned so many beautiful cars. I fall in love with my cars too much to sell them so quickly. My favorites of his fleet would probably be the Tobacco leaf P6, the Renault 21(brown), Audi 100(dull but loved) and the Citroen CX wagon(is that super rare? don't see many wagons). I think the funniest photo was the Volvo wagon where Hubnut is looking down covering his face because he's so pissed off at that car. HEHE. Great video.

what a nice vehicle history :)
I started my driving career being 7 or 8 years old an a Eicher tractor and a W114 200D. Later on I got some pratice in my dad's Passat B1 and when I had my drivers license I was forced to drive his Peugeot 305 as I couldn't afford a own car. I hated that thing... My first own one was a Golf II, what a surprise for a German. After crashing that it was followed by a Mazda 626 GD which I drove quite some years as it didn't make any problems at all. Then I bought an Alfa Romeo 75, this car wasn't that problem-free... So I bought another 626 GD, a 16V with 4 wheel steering which turned out to be a rust bucket. I was offered a BMW E34 535 then. I couldn't resist and didn't regret. A Van ran a red light and wrecked it. So I drove a W124 200D automatic of a great uncle who gave up driving until a cousin managed to crash it because he was going too fast... I bought a Volvo 945 Turbo then, had it for 10 years and traded it for a better one last year. I'm absolutely happy with that and the fact I have a Yaris Hybird as a company car since a few days ago ;)

Not many people have commented on the 21. I remember hiring one in France in the year 2000 and thinking it was a really impressive car: felt solid, fast and a nice ride. I think it was a 2.0 TS or TX 4 door variant. I still remember it now so it must have been good. I liked the way the instrument panel had a sort of canopy over it. There's a lot to be said for the 90s Renault. Much better than the tat they're producing now.

A couple of relatable ones for me. In the late 90's I regularly drove a diesel Maestro. What a bucket that was. Once you managed to get it up to motorway speeds your thoughts would invariably go to "should I just hit it and carry on" before bothering the brake pedal.
The Austin Metro. I had an 87 or 88 one, can't remember exactly which. Loved it. The biggest thrills were from getting it up to 80+ mph and watching the entire dashboard shake like a spin dryer.

Thoroughly enjoyed watching this vid. You've had a good number of cars. I have only really owned vw's, outside of that I had a smashing 97 Citroën xsara diesel. My later attempts at a Citroën c4 coupe was probably my last French car experience. I have to say everything is down to luck, but I like your willingness to venture across the car manufacturers over the years.

i can remember my dad having an old Austin Allegro, white with a black stripe down the side. and he had no end of problems with it at the time..and then it ended up in the junk yard.

Another cracking video. I wish I'd taken photos of the various cars I've owned over the past 27 years...

That was fun, made my mere 10 cars in 36 years of driving (3 of which I still have) seem very dull.

Much like me - I've owned 10 cars in 37 years and still own 3! (Is it cheating to exclude company cars?)

Wow what a great collection of motor's I wish I'd owned more to be honest. although saying that mine is more suited to the unexceptional lol. It all started with a mini based kitcar that I still own today (Minijem GT mk2). then an MG Metro, a couple of Pug 309's, a maestro clubman D, a Citroen Xantia (still a favourite), a mk 2 Espace (all time fav car iv had), Pug 406 estate, Espace mk3, Pug 306, Citroen Xsara, Citroen Xsara Picasso, and Now a Jag X type estate. So mostly french as you can see. Thanks for sharing. I'm looking forwards to seeing pt 2
