- Ants prevented the system from starting. Contactor had been replaced within the past year and experienced the same issue.#hvac #hvaclife #hvactech #hvactechnician #skilledtrades #bluecollar #veto #milwaukeetools #fieldpiece #capacitor #contactor
ortho ant powder, has always worked for me,thanks for sharing.
Solid 👍🏻 thanks for the tip. I’ll have to keep that in mind!
Good stuff man 🤘🏽
Thanks homie 🤙🏻
Seems like the customer needs to call a pest control company as well to deal with the ants.
She does have a contract with a company that comes out and sprays “regularly” but they don’t seem to be doing it to well 🤦🏼♂️
@@KoolinwithKrauss She might want to switch companies.
@@Boodieman72 you ain’t lying 😂
Just saw a video with the same thing the guy recommended putting Vaseline on L1 and L2 and it the ants won't crawl up there
Absolutely have heard of the Vaseline trick. Never used my self. Sometimes caulking the areas. But we’re getting some sureswitches to see if that helps.I’ll have to just try the Vaseline tho! 🤙🏻
I swapped out my contactors to Emmerson sure switches. They are worth the $.
Those are the ones I got ordered from supply house 🤞🏻 Their working out well for you so it should definitely make a difference here
A good technician would of oiled the front door hinges. 😃
😂 your absolutely right lol on my return trip with the sure switch Im going to oil them bad boys up 👍🏻
Good professional job but missed something the units are too close together and their should be 3' clearance in front of the breaker panel. Thank God for bee spray.
Thanks! Idid have a clip that I edited out about the clearance of the units (but I was using some foul language 🤣) but your absolutely right! There was 2 nest inside that unit.
This is legal. As it's an outdoor sub panel. The 3 foot rule is for the person standing in front of it.. So clearance On all three sides here is okay...As the Sub panel is feed from the Service Panel...Which makes this nothing but a Service disconnect. Which is required..
Just changed out a Contactor for the same reason… ants were making out with it. What do you put in to help with the ants?
Man they love that magnetic pull. I’ve heard a few things about Vaseline on the lugs or even putting traps in there. Really keeping any of the landscape from around it This customer has pest control out to spray but doesn’t help mitigate the issue. I ordered a sureswitch to help her out and see how well contained it does!
Oh and your becoming the air tip king btw lol 😂 I do like the accessories I’ll be grabbing some
@@KoolinwithKrauss they have been one of those every trip to Home Depot “might as well get this one” things. I keep telling myself it’s only $20 but after you buy several it adds up 😂
@@MORGANSMaintenance nice! My depot doesn’t have any yet I have to do some traveling! But you ain’t lying very useful 20$ 🤣 you just need to get the new shop vac. I ordered the 6 gallon for pre order but somewhere along the lines it got cancelled and I never went back for it 🤷♂️
I toss rice in mine. They leave...
Really?! I’m going to have try that one to! Thanks for the feedback
Yooo I have had a few of them ..
Little bastards get in there don’t they
Yes they do
