Without a question, THE best live band I've ever seen. If you saw them between 2007-2012, you were truly witnessing something special. Miss it
I think what made them so special was the play between the drummer (jazzy style) and the lead guitarist (classically trained monster). Both left to join Leon Bridges band. Corsicana lemonade was their last album with that lineup I believe
@@patrickwebert9670 yea for sure. Their transitions between songs were special. Go go go no stopping. It was awesome. The energy. “D” is there best all around album IMO. Loved what Austin brought. Losing josh on drums changed everything
They are STILL one of the best live bands today. All the iterations they've had since 2012 have been magical. Ever evolving, always rocking.

White Denim are amazing live. I saw them 2 years ago and they ripped place up. James’s guitar playing is astounding.

Formative listening for me. Fried my 17 years young brain at the time.
I saw these guys at the XPN music festival in 2017 I believe. After they were done playing, my dad took me "backstage" with him so we could be the band. Me being 10, I had no clue who White Denim was, so when I met James, I completely blew it off. Thinking back to that, I regret having done that.
Best performance, version, interpretation I have seen from them so far!!! It's over 9000! So much energy! We used to get stoned and watch all the recordings on the old basement website, and this was always a highlight.

Went to school at Stephen F. Austin University in the middle of nowhere east Texas with James. We were both English majors. Watched him damn near get in fights at open mic nights. He brings the fire every time. A real fuckin man!!!!!!!!

Isnt the only difference between the 57 and 58 the pop filter grill, the microphones are exactly the same though.
@@evolutionmontages4574 even then, I would imagine in a studio like this there could be better provisions. It doesn't actually matter because it's about style and sound. But there are a lot of other mics to use for live band vox. A 57 just really drives it home that they want it plain, even skipping the built in pop of a 58.

Yes - this is Migration Wind - the final song is not "Heart from All of Us" (which is the actual title of the song that is not played during this set).
