Since when do you take your rifle and point it at the person next to in order to get your alignment? Did 3 year MCJORTC and 3 year AFROTC and no drill manual anywhere had us doing that. Inspection was to be done via the regulation drill manual, it is not exhibition drill.
Most likely thru were going into the exhibition phase. Still, no excuse for this utterly ridiculous procedure. "Academic Excellence" only goes so far, apparently.
