Some rather parochial comments here today. I remember back in the Vietnam war days when it was common for many American GI's on R&R in other countries, to say, "back home in the world," when referring to their home. In 1990, only 5% of Americans held a passport, today it is 48%. Between October 2022 and September 2023, over 24 million passports were issued- the highest amount ever in the nation’s history. Happy listening!
A lot of such passports belong to hypernated "Americans" who will go back to where they came from

Idk. I remember stories of how decades ago Americans literally went to Mexico without a passport. I remember as a kid maybe 2002 going to tiuana Mexico when we went to Disneyland and we didn’t have a passport. It’s funny. Nations are making laws tougher to cross borders unless if you’re an alleged refugee. I remember reading how churches in Utah are helping the state government take care of migrant airplanes loaded with refugees from New York or other states. It’s like hmm. We need all 50 states to take some and Canada claims they care about refugees haha. Kind of crazy. Some economists I’ve listened to say immigration is a bandaid for low birth rates but it doesn’t fix anything cause immigration doesn’t lower the average age of a country which is super important when the social security system is setup as a Ponzi scheme or unfunded dependent on future workers. Probably why they need millions of undocumented workers especially if the government forces them to pay social security tax and then never gives them social security benefits. But maybe they do. I remember the government has a tax Id for illegals or something.

This is interesting to listen to but alot of it is BS.For instance saying the Texans that won independence from Mexico did it to preserve the institution of slavery is ludacris.Most were poor Anglo American settlers in search for cheaper land.The main reason they rebelled was because they did not want to convert to Catholicism and the Mexican government offered no protection against the Comanche.Sam Houston himself did not agree or support slavery.

Photos from light planes would have been around since just after the Wright Bros got their first plane up in the air. Early 20th century? Hollywood was employing stunt flyers from very early days of silent films...look it up if interested 😊

It's crazy whats going on with GPT 4o and Nvidia lately. I feel like I suddenly jumped into another timeline, a dystopian cyberpunk timeline or some massive edits occured. Just few days ago these sophisticated AI and VR things didn't exist in my sphere and now suddenly I see technologies that apparently existed for months and years. I'm always up to date with games and technology but these seem to suddenly appear. Something is not right.
