I remember when it was $26 in 2020 and I almost got it. A friend of mine said no multiplayer, bad graphics, not enough end game so I held off. I wish I got it because it looks amazing now. Way better than blizzard's garbage

"Powerful crafting" is such a fucking understatement.
Last Epoch has one of the best crafting systems I've ever seen. The system itself is innovative and fun, and the items you craft are BiS items you will ACTUALLY USE in your build. None of that infinite salvaging for resources you'll never use. You craft items because you WANT to craft/equip them. Chef's kiss, Eleventh Hour Games.
Just picked this game up yesterday, and wow, the balance between simplicity and freedom of customization in this game is so refreshing. The character building process in this game is unmatched

For real, I'm super impressed, feels like the game was made by 500 IQ ARPG experts, I can see all the influence from D2 (itemization), D3 (skill runes expanded into skill specializations), PoE (crafting), Grim Dawn (combining masteries, passive trees), plus some unique innovations, all applied in a very smart way instead of "remember when D2 did this?". Everything to do with the core systems is top tier.
It's too bad the game feels a bit lower budget and not as polished, but I think it's amazing at getting the core stuff right.

@@Oblivious.AmnesiaNo real fancy cinematics, the effects are a bit lackluster in comparison to other flashier games, voice acting (if it's there it's not memorable), some UI/interaction choice feels slightly clunky or low-res. That's a few that immediately comes to mind for someone who's played it on and off since it was like 15 or 20 dollars EA. By no means is this a "don't play" comment as I will be playing it on the 21st, but more of a know what you are getting into and keep your expectation tempered comment.

Still looks pretty meh compared to it's competition, but that's to be expected.
This is supposed to be a FUN game first instead of a well polished turd like D4.
Edit: Quit pinging me with the same dumb replies. I love this game just as much as you, but I'm not deluded enough to think this game looks better than every other ARPG visually. You can be a fanboy and accept reality. All that matters for actual gamers is how it plays anyways.

@@martinwinter615 Yeah it's very cool, the initial team was like 5 members, all people who loved ARPGs and wanted to make their own version. The small initial team is why they focused on making great gameplay and features to start with, and that's why Classes are currently locked to female/male (this is due to change though!) Then i think about 2-ish years ago they got a huge funding boost due to the early success of sales, and now the team is upto 70 something. So recent patches and of course 1.0 have major gfx improvements as they've had to resources to put into them. I'm glad they went gameplay first, i'd rather play a poop looking game with fantastic gameplay and a glittery turd (d4)
i purchased this game years ago because i could see the potential. so many games don't live up to those expectations, last epoch has really pulled it off. the game is looking so good. i've been recommending it everyone.

I agree the trailer music is epic. But don’t raise your hope for the in-game music…
IMO it’s the worst part of the game. I had to turn it off 20 minutes in, and I tried turning it back on many times but ultimately decided it’s better staying off. The ambiance sound, on the other hand, is amazing. Very well made.
(And the game itself is absolutely great, no question about that at all.)

I'm so proud of EHG, that the game come to this point and bit by bit they just added amazing features on their journey. It was already a fun ride, but I can't wait 1.0 and what's next after the release. You guys deserve all the praise and I can only wish the public will enjoy the game, so it becomes an even bigger success story!!

Over 300 hrs played and I'm still hyped for the release. Simply a 10/10 game
Strong recommendation! How does it differe from other arpg hack and slash like PoE or Diablo ?
Take D4 and PoE and meet in the middle in terms of difficulty. The depth of PoE without the complexity, the crafting is meaningful and mandatory, the skill customization is strong, and you aren't punished for trying different things. I'll honestly never look at a build guide. Nearly everything is viable for something. The end game is a bit lacking but it's a new game. It'll develop over time.

First "beat" early access a few years ago after around 70 hours. I was impressed back then and recommended the game to all my friends that it was something to keep an eye on, as more polish and content would really make this game shine. I'm glad to see all of your hard work has paid off. Can't wait to replay through the game and see all of the changes and additions. Congrats, devs! Hope to see this game grow even more and thrive!
How long has it been in early access
@@padcontrol1 like four years or so? kickstarter with the demo was back in 2018, steam beta was in 2019 iirc, steam early access in late 2019 or early 2020?
@@ArborusVitae Wow, didn't know it's been that long. I've play D4 since launch, and quite frankly, it's just mediocre at best. Last epoch looks insanely good. I'm super tempted.
Honestly, IDK where you found enough content in D4 to still be playing it lmao. LE is a super good ARPG, dare I say the best overall experience you can have with an ARPG. You feel OP, cool, and engaged from the first 2min of the game, and it only gets better IMO.@@padcontrol1
@@padcontrol1 ARPG genre atm basically has only has 2 good games in it. Path of Exile being the reigning champ and Last Epoch being the new challenger. Though I'll give honorable mention to Grim Dawn getting a new expansion soon.
Still remember years ago supported the game early development knowing it is going to be a gem. Had been going back on & off during the development. You guys kept work on our feedback and improve the game. So happy for you guys that this is finally to launch and this trailer looks amazing!

can't believe how far the graphics have come, the story progression as well. i played a few days ago and the difference between then and when i last played is just so night and day. heck the skill trees where mostly different as well! there was even a new skill for the mage!

with the state blizzard has been in. It's odd anyone would "waste" money on D4 you either play bare minimum effort games such as D4 for example or you just don't. I wouldn't say you wasted money at all. You just play shit games and pay extra for them lol

I don’t have regrets playing s1 and s2 of D4 but s3 is just bad that’s why I tried LE and it did not disappoint.
@@pelepoporo5251 the second immortal came out and they straight up insulted their entire fanbase in public on stage and there were no actual repercussions for it i knew every game after would be utter garbage. asmongold is one of the biggest problems with immortals success as well as he is a massive influence for blizzards games and he paid a bunch of money on it which would obviously influence others to do the same which resulted in the game making them more money than any other. he obviously isnt the only cause but hes one of the biggest. he can make any content he wants but if hes going to support blizzards garbage then he has no right to bitch about them continuing to pump out garbage. but anyway yeah anyone that is surprised that blizzard stopped trying after they realized they could insult everyone to their faces and still make more money than if there were respectful to them then they are morons.
I think it was a good thing you spent the money you did on D4, cuz now you may have a new found appreciation for games that do it right. So in my opinion that money wasn't wasted at all..

I Found LE in May of 2020 smack dab in the middle of lock downs and it was such an awesome distraction. It feels surreal the official release is finally here and I can’t wait to see where it can go in the future!

I'll be honest, I got really emotional watching this. My excitement is palpable. I bought the early access in April of 2019 and I have followed the progression very closely. In a way Ive indirectly become invested in this game because I soooo want this game to succeed and seeing everyone's reaction to this trailer and all the blog posts about the upcoming 1.0 changes, this is looking to be something amazing.
After years of considering to buy a game and not bothering, I can safely say that this game... is getting my money. Looking forward to playing it!

It's exciting to play this game going in blind. Don't rob yourselves of this experience by oversaturating yourselves with "how to guides", and "best build ever" guides. The fun you'll have with LE is going to be the eureka moments, and learning what feels good for YOU, not what kills the fastest and most efficient. Good luck to everyone on launch day!

And its really easy to make a efficient build, i litteraly didnt look any youtube videos and do a really well going hunter build
But for those of us that don't want to feel like "Oh no ... I wanted a Minion Master and I picked Lich!" ... Guides are helpful ...
Granted you'd have to be pretty dumb not to READ all your choices before you can't UNSPEC from your Mastery...
There are many ways to play ... Blind ... with Guides... Solo, with friends...
You can Use a Guide and go "Ya know what? I don't like this choice, I want to experiment"

The devs are genuine with this game and will fix whatever issues that will arrive at launch. I've played this game for years and the game is a masterpiece and the devs are comparable to GGG.

When people think about ARPG's, no longer will diablo be considered a juggernaut. The market will be split between Last Epoch and Path to Exile 2 and I'm all for it.
