What is ONDC? And why is everyone obsessing about it? Everyone from AMAZON SWIGGY ZAMATO Seems to be scared of this new tech. Some are calling it the UPI of Delivery, others are calling it a sham. In this video we break down everything you need to know about ONDC.
Some of you Recommended that we Subtitle our videos via CZcams Captions instead of burning it on our videos. So we did. Hit the CC button to switch the captions on. Do not worry, it's not auto generated. We manually subtitle our videos for better experience.
cool.
Great work AEVY Teamâ€
Thanks a lotâ€ïž
Thank you
How much money are you losing guys GENUINELY ?
I can't understand how Aevy TV most of the time brings videos on a topic that I am currently interested in...
Also, Your research team does a phenomenal job.
yes right
You mean Hot topics?

Bcoz what you are interested in is not decided by you, but by the algorithm (or the matrix đ)
Dude, there nothing special about this!! Just checked in Zomato and ondc Pizza hut!!
It's almost same just 5-6âč , you just said it's an Non- profit organisation, but I don't think so!đą
UPI was not a hype initially but delivered beyond imagination.
ONDC in my opinion will tank.
Because itâs been sold before even the release.
Someone will find loophole to break through.
It is still dependent on logistic partners who can jack up prices over time.
The logistics cost can be controlled if Ondc can connect customer with nearby retailers. Local retailers can easily deliver products themselves keeping the cost in check. What needs to be done first is bringing most 'offline only'retailers Online
@@thewarlord502 maybe in case of kirana store nearby online is possible because like u said the cost would be in control but not in case of clothing, furniture and others.
And one more thing u should remember is that most kiranaâs avoid GST and taxes so ONDC in many ways is to encourage kiranas to be more transparent which I personally donât see happening.
The unorganised market wonât participate to that level as ONDC is aiming for.
@@stockbro1997 they didn't participate in UPI either fearing it would track their transactions, now they don't
UPI became sucess only because of private players like paytm and bharatpe ,gpay these companies used to go vendor to vendor to enable UPI for them,in India people arent educated enough and very conservative in money matters
@@0mmm exactly but in case of ONDC no seller wants to bear high logistics cost only companies like Amazon, flipkart, zomato and swiggy have in-house logistics and they have cost advantage when it comes to selling online.
Restaurants tie up with zomato and swiggy because incase of high surging orders restaurant donât have in-house logistics to support.
Whereas zomato and swiggy have.
The only problem ONDC is solving is helping businesses get good ticket size.
In the long run ONDC would succeed but I see it dying after seeing customer behaviour.

BSNL is not a failure... It still provides the lowest rate customisable Plans and is available with tons of options. Its just govt is not interested in making it competitive like Jio or Airtel.
True I keep my old number alive for 107âč đ
Cause they would need a ton of money and it would be hard to recover it later cause of sloppy workers.

â@@randomwanderer7 exactly, but dumbs won't understand the real thing.
They would bark without having any idea about it.
Even Govt tried to save it many times both MTNL and BSNL.
BSNL was absolutely shit. Half the time it would crash the the rest of the time will be spent fixing it.
The quality on these videos is astoundingly good, to the point I start to question how we have access to such high quality content for free. Great job Aevy team!
Agree. They should add these high quality content only for their paid subscribers. They are bleeding money
@@superpixelated7354 the purpose to make information reach to the non privileged would then get defeated n also the viewership would fall flat on its face if aevy r to go by ur immediate success via greed mantra
They will automatically earn millions once the subscribers grow n the channel becomes monetized
It goes on to show u have a very low iQ on business module for performing in the subcontinent
Many Americans with such module that worked in the States have now cajoled their wings to order for earning a recurring profit instead of killing the golden swan by one slash to grab all the golden eggs
Learn the fact that a population of 1 billion is the market and even a million subscribers is like El Dorado for any CZcams channel
Now do u understand why instead they would rather bleed green if they r to add payment to their channel or every content!!
Damn the amount of effort you guys putting into videos, you guys deserve more â€
Just found this channel today. Man, the production and editing is insane. There's channels out there which post similar content with millions of subscribers, but the quality doesn't come close to yours. Hats off đđœ
BSNL is bad thing? BSNL came to my city first as a broadband service when no other company came. (Although now because of Jio Airtel is going everywhere as well)
BSNL also provides army and forces fast connection in remote areas. To be honest govt can never sell or close BSNL because it's just too important for security and right to information of the country.
Never knew thank u
You have jio almost everywhere now, the armed forces thing used to be true in the past but now we have in house solutions for the same
@@amithabv1060 lakshadweep doesn't have internet connection and guess who's going to build it ?? Guess who spent money on connecting Andaman with cables in 2020 ? .... although it's true govt first gives money to BSNL to establish a connection, then auction them to other players . If it's profitable they takes them otherwise they don't and BSNL continues using them. Maybe u don't know all the important tunnel in jammu kashmir has BSNL connection. Also if I am not wrong all the border area where no human reside(eg LAC) only BSNL provides connection to the army.
See its a loss making entity full of corruption for which tax payers like you and me have to pay for. All the govt has to do is disinvest in a company and set up clauses and or make laws that ensure the service is provided to everyone in all areas of India. For that the government does not need to own a company. Its basically just using public money to line their own pockets. Money you and I worked hard for.
True. I don't think BSNL should be trusted for security/performance/cost_efficieny or anything really.
But I do agree that BSNL is one of the providers in remote areas and we should support BSNL in that regards.

Aevy is a vibe
Your channel has an extremely good production value.
Iâm sure you must be paying your technicians well.
Iâd love to see a course on how to manage a CZcams channel like yâall!
a grey future ahead of ONDC
1) rates are lower because of the discount. just like zomato/swiggy used to offer in their early phase of starting up
2) rivals have robust delivery network and riders management AI software which determines the requirement of delivery partners which needs to be present on correct time and location given what demand looks like.
3) solving grievances get very hectic as fraud increases.
4) even though prices on both platform are high, they are still struggling for losses which means ondc will suffer too.
Exactly, this is another funded org which is giving discount. Once they have burn all money, they will not be giving any discount then.
ONDC is not a company which is giving discount. It's a platform where every shopkeeper can showcase their products and it's a government platform just like UPI. So the shopkeeper doesn't have to pay any commission to the companies like Zomato and swiggy.
And the low price is because the shopkeeper is able to sale you directly. So they don't have to charge you the part of the commission.
Regarding delivery the shopkeepers have to arrange for that. Through the currier service and the customer have to pay.
Grievance redressal may be an issue.
If that can be solved this commission companies will be facing a tough time, just like VISA and MasterCard is facing with UPI.
@@sumanpaulchowdhury8333 I recommend you read article from finshots on ondc food war. It's has given insight details how this online food delivery is cheap compared to its competitors. It's all about burning cash and giving discount
There's lots of fraud happening in Zomato too and when you complain they are staying it's not our problem we just deliver, Zomato used to take grievances seriously but now they don't care and are trying to shift the blame. So these problems exist there also bit do you know how much Zomato charges?22% of the actual price. It's YOU who is paying This 22% that goes directly to Zomato, swiggy charges less but definitely more than 18%. So ONDC is a good thing, and it's one platform where you can buy clothes, groceries and food. It seems like an internet grand bazaar
â@@thenaughtyanil not how it works is government body out will never run out of money and will never charge money
Trust is very important to indian audiences, trust needs time to build up.
But if the trust on your local seller can be leveraged with these, it can be revolutionary.
Good stuff coupled with excellent creative visuals - Job done. Thank you folks. Appreciate the hard work.
this is your best video yet Aevy

great video again. i was wondering what is this ondc and why everyone is talking about this thing. now i know the reason.
you should give a two side view , ondc is amazing but has many concerns like worsen delivery time , future cost feasibility and worse customer support
I Am Very Happy That Aevy Is Promoting ONDC
Your way of presenting any topic is exemplary âŁ
Loved your humor and presentation
Quality Content! Subbed
aevy never dissapoints
Love that character selection screen.
Biggest Problem with ONDC is no customer support, just as Zomato Shrugs off your complaint, you can't complaint because its "non-profit"
Also 3% commission leke non-profit đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Abe lodu, platform operation cost, Tera baap baap dega.
1. It is still in its beta stage (so they may solve this problem)
2. There is a difference between non profit and free. That 3 % is going to sustain and further update the platform
@@user-bh6mz2kf6o second point I agree, but first point would prove like Bullet train by 2022

great explanation as always guys, thank you
and ONDC seems epic but only time will tell, what lies ahead
What a great initiative. Its a win-win for both buyers and sellers. Whatever the domain is, if we just think why is the middleman needed? we can solve great deal of problems with technology...I'm pretty sure opposition has problems with this too!!!
This is some great. information in just 5 mins.
your guys editing is cool
If zomato and swiggy are smart enough they'll integrate ONDC in their platform or will suffer the same fate as Paytm that refused to integrate UPI payment in the beginning. Paytm is recovering now but zomato and swiggy might not have that opportunity.
I think ONDC will inevitably be making a monopoly for a company....now we may have lot of competitions and this will be lead by slashing the commisions and giving more discounts and this will be a race of who looses all the money first.
Dont pounce on me I started this by saying "I think".Just correct me if I am wrong.
If Zomato Swiggy integrate ONDC they won't be able to charge the absurd commission
@@onefourth7421 if they dont they will die anyway
But zomato and swiggy are already aggregators what role will they have if they decide to use ondc as platform
Magicpn which is backed by zomato had already joined ondc
Thanks for the info guys

Tell me varun did Nikhil asked you to sign a non- compete clause for podcast segment ?
I appreciate your efforts yese aur great ideas ko hamare sath share karo
The game changers are delivery people like Dunzo as you mentioned, what if they charge high delivery charges. Would someone be able to do delivery service through ONDC?
if dunzo hikes there prices , more delivery competitors will rise to offer cheaper rate
You will be not be limited to Dunzo only as there will be others offering services like Dunzo. And due to the forces of demand and supply Dunzo will have to lower prices to be competitive or run out of business.
govt should come up with a supply chain service

don't know why but watching varun instead of achina makes it more eyecandy and draws more attentive.....
Love your videos
Why surf various Noise polluted News Channels when we have Aevy Tv who can make a video on daily issues in easy method. Thank You.
The video editing style in gooooooooood level, if they made course on how aveytv made content they can make a crore every quarter ( Membership)
It's gonna be a another banger like UPI. LETS GOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
it will be a game changer for ecom sellers, i dont think how it will for food delivery, becz swiggy and zomato are alos delivery partners, and all restaurants dont have their own delivery system, only few have their own delivery
Creative introđ
Would be intresting how ONDC works in B2B
thanks for the info i will feep a eye on this and 5:18 lol đ

Only thing of question is who will handle the consumer care and returns,as of now there is only a mail id to reach out with no timeframe or guidance when it wil be resolved or by whom

AWESOME!!!
I personally feel with ONDC, GOI bit off more than it can chew.
But I do hope it is successful.
Great step by nda gov
I read ONDC reports both strategy and technical. Even their latest McKinsey report.
I am happy to confirm this video is highly accurate and presents a complete picture without making any speculations.
I was annoyed to see most other content creators jumping on the bandwagon and completely misleading the audience with claims like, âONDC is a government platform that will break Zomato/Swiggyâ and other such nonsense to get views.
Thank you for making a complete competent video. Your team has my respect!
Another think you audience needs to understand is that if this initiative fails it will be because of private sector companies.
Amazon/flipkart/paytm and all other companies have agreed to become part of this initiative to AVOID bad PR. They are promising to make their âspecialâ platforms for ONDC network. They will intentionally give bad user experience on this network so their main platform survives. This is already happening and ONDC is aware of it and trying to mitigate this âspecialâ platform concept by others.
For true implementation, big players need to give similar user experience on their ONDC buyer/seller/technology/logistics applications and open their entire inventory on the platform.
It is obviously much tougher than said since it will cut in their revenues. Currently, companies have no incentive for good implementation of ONDC just enough incentives to gain public attention and avoid bad PR.
