Ash's smile always cheers me up 😊👍
yeah , Baby cartoon face ....
Absolutely love these England videos. ❤️
You keep reminding us to check out your second channel Way More, but you haven't posted in four months. Would love to watch another chatty video about your lives, the ups and downs. Back info on the channel, how the new strategy is working for channel growth, plans for 2020 etc.
Thanks for another lovely video.
Yes, the Markets are on my list for the next visit to London. Thanks for adding some! 😃
Love all your London videos...my vacations have been there for many years...city of my heart 💜🇬🇧
We've been to London several times and haven't made it to ANY of the markets, weekend or otherwise, YET! There's just so much to do in that city. The markets you guys went to look great! Definitely want to check them out!
So fun! I love pursuing street markets, as well. When I was in England, I went to the Camden market. That vintage market looks amazing! I founded a vintage company (re-sell) for my mom 7yrs ago, and she takes it on the road regularly to sell at vintage markets around the US. Fun stuff 😊
Fantastic video. Really well put together. Both your presenting skills get better and better. So interesting to watch.
If you are ever in the area, check our Leadenhall Market. There isnt a huge amount from a market perspective these days, but it is one of the oldest market places in London (est 1321) and its so pretty. Its not that far from London Bridge, Mansion House, Bank of England, Tower of London etc so plenty of places to walk to afterwards and the architecture in the area is pretty impressive. Closest Tube station is probably Bank
I used to work in Spitalfields Fruit & veg & Flower market as a salesman from 1984-1989.
Best job I ever had.
Does it not break your heart to see what it has become?
@@garethhanby It sure does, the market moved to Hackney Marshes at the time I left in 1989, I suppose it was better to use the
old building for something else rather than demolish it and put up a glass monstrosity.
@@tonyhogwood4737 I've been to the new market. Yes, it does look like a warehouse from the outside, but inside I'm sure you would feel at home. I'm as guilty as anyone as I use all the old markets, but I would have loved to have seen them in the 70/80s. Progress I suppose.
That looks like fun!!! Woohoo!!! Brilliant video!!!
Lovely video from lovely people. Thanks.
We’ve had a few extended visits to London over the half dozen years and the markets are always among our favorite highlight each time. If you can get up to the Greenwich Market, it’s a small but wonderful one as well. Been to all you showed except the Maltby Street Market so we’ll be hitting it up in May when we visit again. Thanks!
Sunday is traditionally the casual market day in London, often held in what were wholesale produce markets such as Smithfield ( meat ), Borough Market ( Fruit & Veg ) and Covent Garden ( Flowers & Fruit ) as they only operated Mon - Sat. or Tue - Sat. As a lot of Traders were of Jewish heritage it was the first day of the week. The Sabbath being sunset Friday to sunset Saturday. Brick Lane is noted for it's Bagels and Eel, Pie and Mash cafes, some going back generations of the same Family.
Spiitafield was a fruit and veg market. I worked in Artillery Lane, almost next door and saw it's final closure and it's subsequent develoment into a covered street market. I also witnessed the excavation of the car park and the finding of the mass graves of the plague victims. The meat market was and, as far as I know, still is in Smithfield.
@@frankcurtis6179 Stupid error on my part, somehow had Spittlefield stuck in my head, should take more care in the proof reading. The Supermarkets can take the blame for the demise of the Wholesale markets in general with only three surviving in or close to London these days.
Both of you are extremely wonderful people who bring so much information and enjoyment to so many people thanks.
You folks are MAGIC !! just found you and LOVE YOU
Ugh I live for these kinds of markets. Omg chicken and waffles yum! Love this video! I buy from too many booths at these markets but love experiencing new things!
Love oatmilk in my coffee too! It's a treat for me♡
Love these London street markets, though i only been to Brick Lane and Borough market.
Yeah I LOVED these markets! Was so fun to just dig around and see all the goodies.
Hi..I’m really pleased you’ve seen Borough market..my brother walks through there every day on the way to work..he tells me it’s amazing..I’ve only been there once and that was years ago.. josh said your going home soon..will you still do vlogs..if not I’m really really going to miss you..have a great Christmas and a great new year..Xxx Xxx
Glad you enjoyed my home town , regards Richard London UK 🇬🇧
great video from London ive just seen your channel I know I'm too late but your videos are great keep up the good work from a Londoner
Backyard Market Brick Lane looks beautiful for an antique market that sells clothes as well as food. It seems to me that the English culture, especially London, has taken a contemporary approach under some circumstances of late.
Love London❤️❤️
Princess Bride! Good for you, Josh! I really tried to read that book last month and failed! I'll have to try again soon! Loved the movie and really want to try the book! Safe travels! Love you two! Love London!
Ahh I was also wandering around both of these markets on Sunday! Sad that I didn't get to bump into you guys! :(
Great video guys.
Glad you enjoyed yourself
I've stayed in that Youth Hostel! Nice location but i recommend the hostel in Holland Park
Ugh I was just there last week! In Earl's court area.go to kings head pub for breakfast or dinner
Have fun!
Sürekli pozitif olan ashley videolarını izlettiriyor. Allah onlardan razı olsun.
That YHA was probably their flagship. They definitely don't all look that good. They're going to be decent, but that looked better than ones I've been in.
I’m watching you from turkey 🇹🇷
I miss the markets in England. Just can't find them here in the
US.
It somehow so reminds me of the movie Notting Hill :)
your back.always love watching you two.you are always welcome here.love and peace from england.
You guys must visit Rochester`s Christmas Market and Dickens Festival in Kent on 7th December
Dangit. I guess I'll have to go back to London and check these cool places out. Like I needed an excuse.
Hehe, TBH this list trip to London is the first time I really thought “wow, I kinda like it here”.
Go to Camden market, you will love it.
Need try borough market, if you are here all week
If you have time Winter Wonder Land just opened in Hyde Park! Is fun!
United Kingdom is in my bucket list to visit. Great food 👌 #Foodie
Hi guys.I miss you.👋
come back to Liverpool guys! you gotta check out the Baltic Triangle
Spitalfields was originally a fruit and vegetable market,
It used to be a meat wholesale market for the smaller shops.
Great video you guys, again lol, but you missed out the Gem of the markets really, and that is in Camden, and better to go when it is quieter like mon-fri even though it will still be relatively busy as such (Camden Market) and shops is a real must do, as it offers a bit of everything in a setting that is just awesome, shed loads of Native Foods of the world outlets all clubbed together, clothes, goods, music, and established Eateries and one in particular for me sticks out like a sore thumb, `Shaka Zulu` is just beyond awesome, it will blow your mind, you get a two for the price of one deal online for a 3 course meal plus if you tell them(sneaky trick) you are on your honeymoon, they will throw in a bottle of champers for you. The deals online for the vouchers are like discount code vouchers, and although it works out at around £50, i promise you will not be disappointed. Enjoy people!!! thanks for the video, stay safe. Chris.
Merhaba, üzgünüm İngilizce çok az biliyorum. Sizinle gezmek çok güzel. Türkiye Istanbuldan sevgiler.😘😘
Ok, I just saw the video untill the end, but one thing just don't get out of my head - chicken and waffle, did I understand it right? Hahaha 😆
Why not?
It’s made roughly the same way you make pancake batter as long as you do shove a load of sugar in the mix.
It can be sweet or savoury depending on what you stick on it.
Had to sit down in shock like waffles but waffles and chicken that is out their with Pluto is that an American combo?
Belgian combo that made its way through places like Holland and the Germanic countries and then out to America about 30/40/50 years ago. Has been available in the UK at least 40/50+ years as it was my Dads favourite when he was younger, in his 20s+, and he would be 85 now if he hadnt passed away.
Isabelle Drennan think of waffles as with syrup and cream even in us cant Remember seeing as savoury thing have been away from uk about 22 years so maybe a new thing their and London usually more ahead
interesting.....
❤️😊❤️
So so sad I so wanted to meet you are you still in London
This just makes me sad...can't watch any longer
Why sad?
@@doglifehub they have divorced. He came out apparently
I'm sure Spitalfields is a permanent market, not just Sundays.
I think you are right
Notice the abundance of young people in the capital? Unreal.
THEY ARE CALLED 'INDOOR MARKETS'...
This is just uncomfortable to watch right now....
No response to my comment UNSUB WILL NEVER WATCH AGAIN
Be careful in London. Not as safe as before.
I was in London in the early 1990s for an extensive time while studying in the UK and it never seemed as dangerous as it does today. Yes, I remember the warnings about the IRA bombings and to be on the lookout for unattended packages or luggage in the London Tube or around pubs that could be a possible bomb, but you never worried about sleeper cell crazy lone wolves attacking you with a knife out of nowhere.
