    What a great list, really enjoyed your descriptions and I've been on the hunt for lactonic creamy scents. My favourite would be L'Artisan Parfumeur Safran Troublant (creamy, delicious saffron almost like payasam - a milky Indian dessert) and Penhaligon's Paithani (milky leather but it's discontinued so I don't want to get your hopes up if you haven't tried it!) Leder 6 sounds right up my alley and I will be hunting it out. Also maybe a small bottle of Lait Concentré, in case it's too much to handle. Thanks again for your wonderful recommendations! :)

    I am obsessed with milk scents, thank you for this! I just received a sample of the Chabaud Lait Concentre and I have to tell you the first scent took me immediately back to a carnival/circus as a child! It is so fun, and I can't decide if I smell cotton candy, hot chocolate, or .....popcorn. Whatever it is it's wonderful!

    Yasssssss!!! I’ve been waiting for this! One of my favorite categories 💕 Palo Santo by Carner Barcelona is what I was going to recommend to you to try but you nailed it. It smells like rice pudding with a dash of cinnamon to me and dries down to a realistic milk foam scent. Really interesting. Like you, I thought it was going to be incensey and it shocked me. I’m not sure about wearing this unless layered with something else but it’s intriguing nonetheless. Great video Sam! Thank you!

  • @beebee3021
    @beebee3021 Před 2 lety +2

    I honestly had no idea how many gems were out there in this scent category. I only had this idea of wanting a really, really milky fragrance because I saw a flacon shaped like a baby milk bottle and thought it was so ridiculously cute. Lait Concentré turned out to be exactly what I wanted. It lasts forever, works really well with my skin chemistry and is honestly just such a comfort scent at this point. I'd wear it to bed every night if I could (don't wanna use it up so quickly though).
    Love all of these recommendations; I'm sure I'll add more to my small collection over time.

    Chabaud Milk Concentré opened up like a vainilla or sweetened glass of fresh milk, then turned into pure butter on my skin. I couldn't stand the saltiness of that butter. Like, I had to eat biscuits with some butter when smelling myself like that and then I thought some butter was left on my hands but no, it was Chabaud.
    Phylosikos and Remember Me YESSS. Palo Santo on me opens up with an alcoholic beverage and milk, I cannot stand it though I can appreciate the uniqueness -if you will-.
    Planning to sniff Molton Brown Milk Musk EDP and Piano Santal.

    • @tqr3398
      @tqr3398 Před 2 lety

      @@nancneumann4196 it is sweet and I would say it's more feminine than masculine if your are talking about scent profiles. I'm pretty sure it's listed as gender neutral but I don't tend to mind unless it's just overly feminine. I generally save this scent for myself and wear it around the house or to bed. I might suggest trying Commodity Milk. I just discovered it last week. Bought a sample, wore it out a few times, non stop compliments as well. It is easier to find online too. Commodity milk carries a similar scent profile but has a marshmallow Tonka bean dry down thats addictive. Honestly you can't go wrong with either. Also there are 3 different versions of the Commodity Milk depending on your preference of intensity e.g.(eau cologne, eau parfum, or perfum). Hope that helps. Sorry the long response, I love fragrances😁

    You missed a very realistic milky fragrance. It is the niche brand Zeromolecole, specifically Lalao. The whole Zeromolecole brand has a milky, generally gourmand line and Lalao is a literal condensed milk fragrance. It might be similar to Chabaud. Biancolatte is also their popular one but i love Lalao better. Hope you get to discover this!

    You are so right. I think "Leder 6" (in english leather sex) is a bad name choice. On so many fragrance forums people say it is not leathery enough. With this name people want an anamalic harsh leather and "Leder 6" is more a warm, spicy and sweet suede. The old name "Fetish" is as bad as "Leder 6" inn my opinion they should have kept the old name from 1921 "Spanisch Leder". The drydown of Leder 6 is so stunning.
    J is pronounced like "yot" in german (y like you, the o like in frozen and the t like in forgot) F the same as in the english.

      Aah, thank you so much for your comment! Right?! I feel like the name is such an important part of selling a fragrance, but hey ho - this way we know only our tribe understand the scent 🤗 Great - will have to work on that German pronunciation. 🌹Xo Sam

      @@MyWorldofFragrance I understand they wanted something that reflects the Berlin nightlife. In my head i always think of "Vanilla sex" as the perfect name. Would fit the notes perfectly. And no worries because of the pronunciation, you are the queen of saying the names of the fragrances right here on youtube!

    I like milky scent but I am still searching for the perfect one that works with my skin. I tried Chabaud lait concentree but it is too sweet and it smells like condensed milk instead of a warm cozy cup of hot milk. The worst thing is that it becomes so weird and turns sour on my skin. I tried to layer it with Loewe 001 woman edt to enhance the milky note which I found not enough in the 001. The pair works great and the scent is milkier and creamier than before. However, 001 fades faster than the lait concentree and the latter leaves the weird trail that I dislike on my skin for extremely long hours (much longer than spraying it alone). I ended up selling the bottle on ebay. I am going to try the milky scents that you recommend but milky scent is not a safe blind buy for me, unlike those warm and rich vanilla and amber scents, as the lactonic notes do not work great with my chemistry and develop a sour scent.
    P.S. Where do you get all your perfumes? Some fragrances are extremely hard to find and sample.

      I agree with that... Lait Concentrée was too much of a good thing for me. I think milky scents are definitely tricky. I went through a few before finding what worked for me. I'm lucky enough to have quite a good selection at local perfumeries here in London. 🌹Xo Sam

      @@MyWorldofFragrance Hi Sam, Freudian Wood sample came this morning. So I had to try it.
      Even though fragrantica lists milk as main note, I do not get it on my skin. Cedar and sandal wood hit me first together with pepper, which is not listed, then I get mimosa and milkiness in a body lotion sense rather then cow's milk, very faint though, overpowered by mimosa first, later ambrette. I feel like it is powdery, too. I only had it on my wrist, my friend warned me that in larger sprays it can get very animalic, I did not get that from the small area, sure it is animalic but not too much. Overall, it is not for me.
      Well, on the other wrist I had Incense Extreme from Tauer Perfumes (no lactonic relation) and that I loved, but then I am a huge fan of Andy's creations and love nearly everything...I could bath in No2, so......no brainer
