Nude female body mould and cast, created as a private commission. Plaster bandage used to create a full front and back naked torso mold, and a cast created from glass fibre. Finished in a satin black, later finished in a metalic gold, with black marble effect base plinth.

Absolutely stunning! Ages ago i knew a man who worked with playboy models and did jus lt the torsos in bronze so this reminded me of that time. Sculpting the female form is something i love to do as well ( when i have the time only i do them much smaller!)

Alginate can seem like an expensive and fidley option, but as you said, the difference in cost was eaten up with additional man hours of sanding. This project did turn out very well, and I hope that it receives many decades of appreciation for the art that it is.

I thought for sure I wouldn't like a gold version because I thought it was going to look cheap in a pimped out way but I was wrong. Your studio really does know how to capture the essence of high quality sculpture and the piece doesn't look pimped out. That being said, I prefer a bronze look but that's just my personal taste.
Who knows, they might come back for bronze some other time! For now, it's had 2 very different finishes, and we're glad everyone is enjoying. Thank you very much indeed!
I can see the gold sculpture in an ultra modern sparsely furnished setting with white walls, black accents and high ceilings, i.e., a room designed specifically to balance the high drama of a polished gold nude statue. So, now we're talking about a gallery like setting not a lived in home. I think a lot of people overlook the quiet, stately power of bronze.@@AdenHynesSculptureStudios

The matte black looks like a mannequin, the gold looks classy.
I actually preferred the rough unfinished look before the gold was applied. The gold looks like it belongs in a Sheiks Palace or a casino.
How much does this cost
An arm and a leg apparently, judging my the lack of limbs on the sculpture.
