Review of combining a Furitek Brushless system with the Meus 2-Speed transmission on the Traxxas TRX4m K10 Hightrail. Excellent speed and slow crawl with the ability to control both!
Yeah awesome love it, I got the black high trail, I got the aluminum front and back bumpers, Rudy love the front bumper with the push bar, also lights on the rollbar work. Looks like a lot of fun driving through the snow. I’ll be watching for the next one until then peace and chicken grease 👍👍😁
Love the black one! It's what I originally wanted, but they only had blue when a couple of friends gifted it to me. I'm happy with the blue. Agree on the aluminum bumpers! I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of them. I bet they look rad on the black truck!
Adding a Furitek Brushless setup & Meus 2-speed transmission turns the TRX4M into a whole different animal. Now that is the way to go to get the best of both worlds, insane slow crawl performance & high gear to unleash the beast.
I was manually switching when I originally put it in with the stock esc. But the furitek system came with a 4 channel receiver/transmitter, so it supports the servo to switch gears and lights.
What axles are those? And are you running the stock frame? Id like to get the injora diamond axles but im worried the lay down servo wont fit between the stock frame rails
The front axle is a Treal aluminum and the rear is the stock plastic with a brass diff cover. Gearing in diffs are stock ratio metal gears. The frame is stock. The lay down servo has been working fine with my current setup. I feel like if I lowered the suspension, like a full droop setup, that it might be a problem. But I'm not sure.
To be honest, the bits I had at the time didn't have any markings. I used a cheap set from Ace Hardware and just tried them all until I found one that fit. I'm sorry I don't have an exact size to report.

Oh totally! I've been totally impressed with the combination! Have you done the same?
@@A1-RC No, I currently do not have a TRX4M. I got a FMS - FCX24 K5 Blazer & a Furitek - FX118 Fury Wagon, but plan on expanding soon.
Right on. Those both look awesome. I'd love to add those to the collection one day.
Put in monster truck mode for no drag break
Thanks! I'll give it a shot.
Super strong
Thank you! It's truly a little beast!
Do you manually switch between gears or does the esc support another servo to change gears ?

@@A1-RC good to know, thanks
What size was the bit you used for the furitek set screw?
