David Prodigy was that the one where you could choose from the trench run, the battle of Hoth and was it speeder bikes from ROTJ? I’ve got distant memories of playing that in the arcade

I honestly don’t understand why every single company that owns retro properties doesn’t have some easy way to access their old games. Imagine being able to download a Nintendo or sega App Store on switch or on any emulator or pc and pay for literally any game. I mean make it easy and I’d spend 5 bucks to play an old game rather than stealing a rom online any day.

Outside of the house of Mario, it’s up to Microsoft and Sony to have backwards compatibility so you can play your past purchases. When they don’t, stuff needs to be ported again which costs money. You bet some of them like the excuse to charge you again. Official emulators tend to be mid at best so they need to tweak them for each game and port them every time there’s a new platform. Therefore PC is the retro gaming king, its backwards compatibility is unmatched and it has every emulator for when the publishers haven’t bothered to sell you their legacy games.

I call BS. His Death Star surface level was waaay too easy in arcade mode. He barely gets attacked from the front at all and the tie fighters fly right in front of him perfectly allowing him to shoot them down. That never happens. Whenever I play, I get bombarded with front tie fighter attacks with no time to move out of the way. The level is impossible. I tried to beat it every way possible and couldn’t. He must have used a mod somehow.
All the video descriptions for longplays on this channel note that most of their gameplay videos use savestates, so he probably had separate savestates for each level and saved the state for this level with the ideal outcome and then spliced it into the video.
Was the 32X a mistake? Honestly, yes with the benefit of hindsight. Especially since the SEGA Saturn was already in the works. But this game still looks gorgeous.

I could beat Chaotix no problem, Sonic 2, every mega man game, even battletoads! But I couldn’t even get past the Star destroyer levels…looking back I really don’t get it. Although I never be Comix Zone that game is at least universally seen as absurd.
There were 3 of them I believe. There was an on-rails Atari one in 1983, this one in 1993, and then another on-rails SEGA game in 1998 for the Special Edition of the Original Trilogy.

You're thinking about "Star Wars Trilogy", whereas this is "Star Wars Arcade". Both arcade games by Sega, so it confuses a lot of people.
