50 years ago, the Netherlands also had these winters with lots of snow and low temperatures. 25 years ago that was only half and in the present there is no snow at all. Only rain, wet snow, lots of wind and temperatures above zero. Climate in Europe is changing drastically. The seasons are shifting. Temperatures in the summer run at or over 40 degrees and in the winter it is even 10 degrees above zero.

I've lived in Toronto, and this would be considered pretty bad, but try some of the other provinces; the people open their doors and it's literally a wall of snow. Newfoundlanders give a new meaning to the word "hardy."

When I was a kid in Marquette County, we had much more snow...of course there was the snow effect..I am 82 now with many strokes so I do not recall many things unless prompted by a video such as this. Good luck in Toronto The Great Lake are bordered by Canada and the USA.

Just so you know, Toronto isn't known for particularly severe winters, relative to some other Canadian cities. The prairies, and north & west in Ontario are a lot colder. I'm in Montreal, and our winters used to be pretty spectacular, although climate change has noticeably moderated them. Now it seems like the maritimes get more big snow storms than us - that _never_ used to happen when I was younger!

2011 NYE I was in Montreal. It was -27C but it didn't feel too cold because zero wind.
@@KatariaGujjar Well that could happen anywhere, if air is calm it's never as bad, right? If 'NYE' means you're in New York State, well your winters aren't all that different from ours. We know up-state NY folks, near Lake Ontario, and my impression is that they get more snow than us! Down in NYC, not as bad, but still winter, and subject to Atlantic storms.
