I found out I was not eating enough. I do 20-4 fasting and wasn’t getting enough calories or protein. Did the free calculator and was like blown away how much food I really needed. Now I am eating more and losing weight 2.5 pounds a week. I can stuff my face till full at 10 at night and get up in the morning and the scale is down. Eat less might be applicable if someone has a terrible diet. But if you are eating right with whole foods its hard for me to get enough in 2 meals.
For me all of the calculators online have my calories way too high. I have figured out the right amount through time though. In regards to calories, Consistency is a jewel.

To get that fast you had to be competing.

Hi Paul, I need help with knowing if I should cut or bulk and how to do a lean bulk. I'm already very good at losing body fat.
I want to be between 12-15% body fat. I want to build muscle. I'm 36 years old, 5"10, 180 lbs and estimated 20-25% body fat currently.
Cut to 10, lean bulk upto 15, repeat
I have learned, helping people to loose fat is way harder to motivate them. They want to look a certain way but lack the drive. I figure that if people are obese, they are going to have to get the motivation first. Unfortunately some people will be faced with a bad health issue.
I’ve noticed a big discrepancy in calories on nutrition ix. For example today it says I’m at 1876 cals but when I plug in the macros it’s 1922. Have you noticed that Paul?
Labels are allowed 20% flexibility
I always focus on the macros, not the calories. There are often bad math in food labels.

How lean do you go with beef?
My arms/“bat wings” are my trouble zone. Even when I lose weight, my arms stay flabby. I strength train 3x weeks focusing on progressive overload, walk 3 miles a day. Any tips? Thanks!
Lift heavy, make sure you do compound movements too.
How old are you? Male or female? How are you training arms? How often and what exercises? How many sets?

I respectfully disagree with the comment of wanting to look like a competitor but not wanting to compete.
I trained to run marathons but didn’t want to compete in them. But I still made a goal and hit it.
I know of multiple people who look like a competitor but do not compete. They have a goal for themselves because they want to. But they have no desire to get up on a stage.
I understand the drive to compete, but I think you look the most perfectly yummy at 230lbs. I also realize my opinion isn't part of your game plan, LOLOLOL. Oh, also again, I'm doing 1 hour a day of treadmill now (in two sessions) thanks to you. You are awesome!
I appreciate the kind words and at 230 I feel good, I think I just get bored and enjoy the challenge every few years.

I have busted my ass for a month and 1/2… lost 20 lbs. Went from 220lbs. to 200lbs. 2hr sessions of cardio in the morning at 7:00 am at a steady state at an incline of 3 and a speed of 3 burning over 1,000 calories per session. Working out in the evening for another 2hrs. Also getting my 200 grams of protein. I’m finding it very odd that you are getting these results and I’m doing everything correct!!! Smh 🤦🏽♂️

2h of cardio+ 2h of workout every day is too much. Are you sure you didn't lose muscle in the same time ?

"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day." Meal plans won't teach you anything. What are you going to do when that's done? You must learn. I also find meal plans tend to just further a poor relationship with food. If it's on the list it's "good," if it's not must be "bad."
@@user-ui1mq6ds6e personally I find it unlikely. Of course there’s always individuality so you can’t put everyone in a box. It’s hard to form new habits and learn by taking thought out of it.

Its not the body fat im worried about. Its losing muscle. Looking anorexic it probably worst. I see alot of skinny old men around and its horribly. Bones sticking out and thin skin. I rather be decent sized minus the protrufing belly.
