These are not “kids” movies. They are “family” movies, something for all ages to enjoy.
these movies are for everyone...be inclusive, but I guess you're obviously not
the lion king
The Lion King is the best animated movies ever made , timeless masterpiece, not matter what age you always will watch
IMO, Ratatouille, Spirited Away, The Prince of Egypt, Into the Spiderverse and a couple others are better. But the Lion King is great in its own right.
I remember seeing it in theaters with my older sister. My mom asked me how the movie was when we got home and I burst into tears. Damn did it age well.
and cry. Don't forget cry.
you cant forget toy story 3
It’s my favorite movie of all time!
@WatchMojo These are not “kids” movies. They are “family” movies, something for all ages to enjoy.
Facts lol Harry Potter definitely not a kids movie
the first 2 definitely are 😂 ✌️
Well said
@@crazyfloeeAn adult that watches Harry Potter is in a state of arrested development. Harry Potter is for children.
Exactly
‘Toy Story’ is still one of the best Pixar movies of all time.
I hope the 5th one is possibly the VERY LAST ONE for 2025 during the 30th anniversary of the whole ‘Toy Story’ franchise.
I hope that too.
Yes indeed
The Lion King (1994) -film, deffenytly made my childhood very magical. I'm very proud that I own that classic on Blu-Ray at my house nowadays. 🇺🇲😍✌🏿©️
The original Lion king is and always will be the GOAT of Disney movies
I really think Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory could've used an honorable mention, and as for newer movies I think Moana is up there. The Lion King was my childhood movie, as well as Fox and the Hound.
Very true
I'm sure they'll do it eventually, but this should have been a top 20. Home Alone is missing as well.
I didn't realise until I was older that "The Lion King" was a modern retelling of "Hamlet", complete with animals! And they say that cartoons can't be educational!
And its sequel The Lion King 2 is a modern retelling of Romeo and Juliet
Lion King will always be my favorite, real masterpiece
‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ = My number one favorite Spider-Man movie! 😁
‘The Princess Bride’ is still one of my favorite revenge movies of all time.
😏
The NeverEnding Story has a very special place in my heart
The Wizard of Oz is a great musical movie. My late grandmother loved it especially the song Over the Rainbow
It's easily one of the greatest movies ever made.
Some other great ones are The Goonies, Holes, Aladdin, ET: The Extra-Terrestrial, and Secondhand Lions.
The lion king, Toy Story and spirited away are my favorites
My favorite movie right now is The Super Mario Bros. Movie!
The Lion King is a Masterpiece ❤ and Toy Story not far behind.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Home Alone
Here is My Top 10
10. The Polar Express
9. The Little Mermaid
8. Aladdin
7. A Christmas Story
6. Pinocchio
5. A Princess Bride
4. Willie Wonka And The Chocolate Factory (1971)
3. The Lion King
2. Toy Story
1. The Wizard Of Oz
My top 10 greatest kids movies
1. The Lion King
2. Batman Mask Of The Phantasm
3. Shrek
4. Aladdin
5. The Goonies
6. The Princess Bride
7. Willow
8. The Secret Of The NIMH
9. The Neverending Story
10. The Dark Crystal
For me, it was the original Willow. It brings back great memories of warching it with my brothers.
Ever since i was a kid, I've had a spot in my heart for The Dark Crystal
What about Beauty and the Beast (1991), the only animated Disney film to be nominated for Best Picture?
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse actually came out in late 2018 as part of the Sony Spider-Man Universe. BTW, Where's Shrek?
This list sucks. Toy Story is too low and Shrek is not even on there. But Mary Poppins is. Sorry but Shrek is way better.
Lion King and Toy Story I watched soo many times over and over again, they were my favourite movies as a kid, Ice Age could've been an honorable mention on this list as well! 🙂✌️
Balto (1995) This Cult Classic Was a Childhood Classic first saw It on Cartoon Network's Cartoon Theater In 1998 highest rated program of the night a tv broadcast of an off network movie good times
Never ending story is my favorite movie 🍿
Lion King is the best family film of all time. Hands down 🙌🏾
Thank you for showing all 10 good G-rated/PG-rated movies to us.
I just think they should have given mentions to ones like; "Big Hero 6" or "Zootopia" too, ya know?
@@hunterrousseau3770 I love Big Hero 6. I feel like it's truly underrated.
@@cookiesncream789 You know what else is extremely underrated from the "Big Hero 6" franchise here? The sequel series that immediately followed the events of that said movie here
Great lidt. I was surprised that my top 10 family films included 6 of yours. Kinda crazy actually. If Iron Giant and Neverending Story had made it there'd be 8. Usually my top 10 lists don't resemble others.
E.T., How To Train Your Dragon and Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone are my favourites.
I watched "The Princess Bride" when I was seventeen it was the first time and I adored it. It was completely different from what I was expecting and I can't even explain why. It's as close to a perfect movie as it's possible to have.
What the hell is E.T. doing in the honorable mentions instead of somewhere on this list?!?
Thank For the Top 10 Video 🙊🤯🥰😍😁💗💐🌟🥇🏆
Spirited Away!❤
You should've included The Secret Of Nimh. That movie was my all-time favorite animated feature, i've seen it so many times i've lost count of how many.
I've lost count on how many times I've watched The Land Before Time.
Steven Spielberg’s ET the Extra Terrestrial is the best kids movie ever in 1982.
Sword in the stone and prince of Egypt are my favourite movies from childhood
Harry Potter too
Aardman - all of the Wallace and gromit shorts & chicken run too
They don't make them like the Lion King anymore
I know, now that they're into live action. A real bummer.
Another Mojo list that should've been a top twenty because there are lots of other kids movies that deserve recognition. And if I were you guys, I'd include the underrated Disney masterpiece that is Treasure Planet.
A lot of these movies I love. Lion King and Never Ending Story the most.
I would love to watch The Wizard of Oz and just know that it will become another one of my favorites.
Thanks ❤
Elf is such a great film about overall and a beautiful Christmas movie. Love it.
I just screamed when spirited away followed lion king!!! I have no complaints with the list!!!!
Remember, ANIMATION IS CINEMA, not necessarilly the same kids genre excuse in the crucial words of GUILLERMO DEL TORO, even I can count on some underappreciated cgi works of Enrique Gato as a prominent artist in a certain remarkable level with Nick Park
Just because kids can watch them, doesn't mean they're "kids' movies"... How can a movie with Elton John, Hans Zimmer, advanced hand-drawn animation, and big names like Whoopi Goldberg and JTT and Jeremy Irons be 'only' a kids' movie? [G] means "General Audience, and Disney in the 90s really put that to work! Calling something a kids movie is like saying it's no better than the Care Bears movie.
Seems like we're going backwards on "cartoons aren't just for kids" thing the 90s tried to establish.
They need to do a top 100 kids movies
First Disney movie I ever saw as a kid was The Lion King in 1994 I was only 2 years old.😊
LoL, I've never heard a child quote that "Princess Bride" line...
What a great list I'm 58 I love the lion king I have t shirts jumpers figurines cuddles bed covers a tattoo which reads hakuna matters and I've been 2 c the musical which is fantastic and of course I have the dvd😊
Many of these movies are not intended for or directed at children. That kids are allowed to watch them is something else.
Number 2 my favorite 🤩 ❤❤❤
Do this again and break it down by decade
I remember watching a documentary about ELF how it was a huge risk at the time, because even though obviously, Will Ferrell is a huge star now at the time he was just coming off of SNL, and they weren’t even sure if he had enough star power to make this a successful movie and now Decades later it’s like this cult Christmas movie
*Disney's Mickey, Donald and Goofy The Three Musketeers, Hercules, Aladdin, Mulan, Tarzan, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, The Fairly OddParents: Abracatastrope!, Monsters Inc., The Great Mouse Detective, Disney's The Sorcerer's Apprentice, The Princess and the Frog, Disney's Tron, The Lion King, Disney's Peter Pan and Disney's Raya and the Last Dragon* are all of the Best Family Movies I've ever watched throughout the years.
I prefer Tron: Legacy over the original Tron but I like both tbh.
@@WafflePenguin36 Yeah, *Tron: Legacy* was OK, but I definitely prefer *Disney's Tron (1982)* movie, cause' I love the Disney Hero and Villain of the movie: Tron and Sark
An interesting list but I would include Yellow Submarine
some surprising entries on here...is Wallace and Grommit really that popular with the kids? I would've thought by now they wouldn't even know it. Would've subbed out some entries...like take out Wallace, add in Willy Wonka, sub out How to train... w/ Aladdin...and fit in Back to the Future in there somewhere.
For kids, and kids at heart.
Into the spiderverse was amazing but it's sequel killed the game!(The sequel was the best)
My mum is 40 summit years old and elf is one of her favourite films
Trolls band together deserves to be on this list.
I kinda feel like the Trolls movies should be on here
Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron should be on here
relieved you went back to 1939, when I wasn't sure you'd even include that judging from the recentness of most the entries.
A lot of classic Disney animation holds up: SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARVES, PINOCCHIO, BAMBI, DUMBO (the problem with the crows isn't so much the racial metaphor as a white guy doing the main one's voice).
CURSE OF THE CAT PEOPLE
going for anime, you might have thrown in MY NEIGHBOUR TOTORO, PRINCESS MONOKE - grim stuff but sort-of life lessons, and even GRAVE OF THE FIREFLIES
I think ones like; "Big Hero 6" or "Zootopia" should've gotten mentions at least, you know?
I may have been one of the few people born after 1940 who knew WIZARD OF OZ as the book *before* seeing it as a film
Not a single Don Bluth movie in sight...
I know how you feel. Don Bluth's movies were truly wonderful to watch, at least the most successful movies like the Secret of NIMH, An American Tail, the Land Before Time, All Dogs go to Heaven, and Anastasia.
How I would love to see Don Bluth's movies and video games back in our lives again. No more 3D and live action remakes.
Does Star Wars count as a “kids” movie? 🤔🤷🏻♂️
Only 3 of these movies were a part of my childhood
For me The Goonies and The Sandlot and Babe would've also been in my list. Oh yeah The Land Before Time.
Did they officially rename the first Harry Potter title to Philosophers Stone?
By Argus, how is The Curse of Were-Rabbit better than Toy Story, How to Train Your Dragon, Into the Spider-Verse or The Iron Giant?
Where’s Shrek?
I don't disagree with most of this list, but where is Star Wars? It's a ground-breaking & epic space adventure of good vs. evil!
Iron giant is a gem😊
What about Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Shrek, Aladdin, and Up?
Wizard of Oz is nice, but I think without the nostalgia it's really not that good by today's standart.
Lion King and Mulan are family favorite movies we watch in my house, even in my adulthood. And I still watch Spirited Away, it made me a Hayao Miyazaki fan!
The wizard of Oz is number 1? It's kind of hard to choose that one knowing all the dark story about its background production. Maybe Inside Out, Coco or Batman The mask of the phantom should've been better at the top.
Home alone !
how you leave Alladin off this is beyond me
Transformers The Movie deserves to be in this list
They really did just put the Wizard of Oz at number 1 huh......right.....
Wow Amazing
Bee Movie should have been onto this list
Lion king and toy story are simply special
Indeed.
Aladdin, The Nightmare Before Christmas
Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
If Ferngully ain't on this list...it's not complete.
Oh yeah, Ferngully is a great movie, it's like a cartoon version of Avatar.
Aladdin should’ve been on the list
The Neverending Story should be number one.
Wallace and gromit is showing More frequently on these lists
What!! No Land before Time!
As a 64 year old, Shrek and The Emperor's New Groove stand out as kids animated movies with adult parts to still enjoy. Our son went to see Tarzan as his first time to the theater, special to me for that, also the Phil Collins music.
The Lion King is by far my fav animated movie. So many memories. My parents got divorced in 94 and I would never see my dad again. My aunt happened to be head of film distribution Airborne Express (now DHL) and was their liaison for Disney. My uncle was good friends with Tony Bancroft who created Pumbaa. In order to cheer my brother and myself up, my Grandfather enlisted my aunt and uncle to get us special tickets to see The Lion King in LA. It was magical to say the least.
OML LION KING ISNT #1 FOR ONCE
GIVE IT UP FOR WATCH MOJO 👏👏👏
I love kids movies
Don't we all. They make you wish you were a kid again, don't they?
My wife and I love the wizard of oz but why is willy wonka not an honor cuz it should've at least gotten that
Christmas is the best time to settle down in front of the TV, and watch a film that can appeal to the entire family. Muppets Christmas Carol, The Princess Bride, ET, Willow and EVERY Disney/Pixar project were all basically our Must Watch favourites.
I don't think Lion King measures up to Snow White.
What about Shrek or Monsters Inc or The Incredibles?
